I like to know how to password protect chrome users . like when we open chrome we get window to select user and password.. i tried using enable-udd-profiles mode... but its not working now a days.. Is there any other way i can setup like it.
View 2 RepliesWhen I try to open up a browser the browser screen just says that the webpage I am trying to access is either being edited or has been moved to a new domain. The error code is 137 and I am using chrome. Only internet explorer x64 works! I don't want to use internet explorer. This error could be a virus posing as my proxy then routing my internet traffic back to itself, therefore making it seem like I have internet wvwn though I cant get online. I need to get online on google chrome. I already tried normal internet explorer, safari, firefox, and opera and on the taskbar it says I have wifi but clearly no.

The only software I found till now which comes closest to my needs is Protected Folder, however you have to open the program each time and unlock the folder you want to use, then re lock it when ready, it's not so straightforward as I was imagining. Also I don't know if access will be blocked from other users on the network, once the folder is shared.
Is there a way to password protect a folder i.e. your pictures folder. For windows 7 ofc ^^

Basically, I want to hook my 3TB External USB HDD to the Router, so that all our devices can share the media on it, but I want it password protected so if someone else comes in the House, they can't access anything on there and only we are allowed to access it. I have both settings in place - I have the screensaver's "On resume, display logon screen" check box selected, AND I have the Power settings option set to "require a password on wakeup". However, neither setting works. I even set the "ScreenSaverIsSecure"="1" registry entry, but it had no effect. After the system resumes from standby or when the screen saver closes, the desktop is available with no password prompt.If I manually log off, or reboot the system, I am prompted to select a user and type the password, so the passwords are correctly in place.

All users can access to D and E.
How to enforce security properties so that delete file or folder on D or E must prompt for admin password? I see that I can totally prevent DELETE, but I just want to permit delete, when user successfully entered admin pwd on prompt.
If I right-click on D: Then properties and view security tab, I see 4 groups:
* Authentified users
* System
* the admin account
* users (the admin account as user)
