View 3 Repliesbought me a new PC that came with Windows 7, and everything works great -- except that I cannot open Facebook. Although Chrome is my preferred browser, I have also tried opening Facebook in Firefox and IE, to no avail. Basically, it's timing out. The error message I receive in Chrome says, "Google Chrome cannot load the webpage because facebook.com took too long to respond." On the rare occasions I have actually gotten onto Facebook, I usually cannot open links, or it freezes, or I get booted off quickly. When I tried using the FB gadget on my Magic Canvas, it would not accept my FB password, even though I retyped it correctly multiple times. What is going on? (P.S. I'm not very tech-savvy,
View 2 Replies View RelatedFacebook is keeping me logged in even after i close the browser (Firefox 6.0.2). and yes the option to keep me logged in is NOT selected.
EDIT: just found out that the problem is not Facebook, but Firefox. It also keeps me logged in to my mail accounts, even my school account, and i haven't changed any settings in Firefox.
might be more of a computer problem than firefox, i just closed firefox and opened up the task manager and without a firefox window open the process was still running.
Sometime when I upload a picture on facebook status ,my browser stop working!I use Google Chrome .. So I close the browser and open it again and restore.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy computer has been running slow for months, but it is now getting to the point where it is almost unbearable. For example, just clicking on a folder to open it can take up to 15 seconds to respond. It also lags a ton during internet browsing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Firefox ... you said that cleaning registry is not a good way to ensure faster loading. What do YOU recommend? I heard that toolbars (Yahoo, Google, Bing etc.) slow down a computer. In FF I only have Yahoo toolbar installed.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwindows 7 is breaking my ballz once again this time it's the default browser
-I use both firefox and ie-64bit
-firefox is configured to check it's the default browser and ie-64bit not
-whenever I reboot firefox it complains it's not the default browser
-if I launch firefox as normal user it fails making firefox default
-if I launch firefox as zdmin it makes firefox default but only during the firefox session, as soon as firefox is closed it will be removed from default browser
-I have the same problem with ie-64bit if I ask it to be default
When i get connected it open directly to internet explorer.I have already installed firefox as my default browser(control panel) but still internet explorer appear first.
What can i do to ?
So if I search in my internet browser, I get a blank page. The weird thing is if I restart the computer, it is works fine. If I leave it for an hour and come back, everything is rejected and I just get a blank page.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI d/l and installed Firefox to see 'what it's all about'. I liked it. However, one day I was downloading some files and closed the browser. I noticed that when I did this all downloads terminated and left me with incomplete files. Since IE has never behaved this way I was most upset and gave Firefox the boot. This was many versions ago and am wondering if it still does this.

firefox browser (channeled thru sandboxie) is plagued with script dramas on just about all websites e.g. facebook, Internet and so on. the pages do not respond until much time passes to alert me to a script problem, eventually forcing me to close the browser.
e.g. "warning unresponsive script. a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. you can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."

I have ie9 set as default browser. I have my email defaulted, as use my current email address. I rebooted after these setting changes. Yet both 'Send Page by Email' and 'Send Link by Email' are still grayed out. How to activate (ungray) these 2 commands?
For the past 2 days, whenever I have used Mozilla firefox 12.0, after sometime, the browser hangs up and it tells that the browser has stopped responding. The same time, windows explorer also hangs and freezes soon. I will have to restart and then same thing happens again. I tried Chrome also, but the result was same. the browser freezes, and soon after explorer also freezes. I have also noticed that the disk space in the C drive is also getting reduced. In one day 5gb of space has been added up. I have installed and tested with windirstat. Now even the yahoo messenger freezes (not responding) every time and other applications too. I have scanned with MAlwarebytes and Security essential and could not find any infection. For the past 3 days, I can't watch flash videos in Mozilla. Today, several time the same thing happened to chrome also and it says the player crashed.

Firefox: Mainly because I have lots of RSS feeds, but it is resource intensive. IE9: Because I enjoy playing some games on the MSN Zone and have found that tools like Chrome's IE Tab don't cover everything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a new system, with a new HDD,but i started to experience a problem with the browser(any browser).Everytime,i open my internet browser, all other programs stop responding. However, the browser works fine, and unless i exit it,i cannot click on anywhere else but the browser or my computer hangs and everything stops responding, even the task manager. This problem occurs in google chrome as well as internet explorer,so i doubt it is a browser problem.I have never experienced such a problem with any system i have used so far,nor have i seen anyone experiencing it,so i am really confused as to what might be causing this.

I have gone online and searched and have came up with many ways people say they have gotten rid on it but none of there solutions have worked for m I read that it is malware and you should not leave it on your machine. I have ran my AVG and it does not detect it. I have deleted it from the all programs and done many things in the settings and set google as my default but to no avail it still comes up.
