I'm having problems trying to enter facebook from firefox. I can enter it from ie.One of the suggestions is that firefox does not have permission to enter facebook. How do I give firefox permission to enter facebook.
I have FF 17. The mouse is freezing in facebook & I find the only escape to release the browser is reboot. The same FB page works fine in internet explorer.
i recently installed ubuntu inside windows 7. after that in the advanced system settings by mistake i made ubuntu as the default os and time =0. but now i am unable to use windows as boot menu automatically skips every time boot. how can i recover my windows.
I am using Win 7 64bit. I am unable to get to Facebook (and Mozilla, probably many others) through IE 9, Firefox, and Chrome.
If I use Win XP, I can access Facebook from all three browsers. I have tried multiple PCc/Laptops and the same thing happens....it works in XP but not in Windows 7 x64.
If I run an XP virtual machine within the Win 7 machine, I can access Facebook. It seems to be something with Win 7 64bit (maybe 32bit as well?)
If use a web proxy like HidemyAss.com I can at least bring up the Facebook login page, though cookies become an issue.
I have followed multiple suggestions from other sites i found such as clear cache, DNS cache, resetting TCP/IP stack etc.
i recently got a new mobo and ever since i haven't been able to figure out how to enter safe mode. the board is an asus m5a99x evo. when i try the traditional way and tap the f8 right after start-up i am taken to a boot device menu through the asus bios and after selecting my HDD i am immediately taken to the windows 7 loading screen. is there anyway to force safe mode on restart once in windows?
I am having a bit of an odd issue with my Alienware MX11 laptop. I just restored it to a previous "checkpoint" after just having the error "Failed to save all the components for the file \System32\000052af. This file is corrupted or unreadable This error may be cause by a PC hardware problem." After restoring via Control Panel it is running generally fine. However, my issue is wanting to reset it to factory default settings. I've reset to the Factory Image before with previous Dell laptops, but for some reason the repair menu will not load past the black screen with the grey bar on the bottom with the words "Windows is loading files..." After the bar fills white (very quickly might I add) it returns to being gray and sits there.
Is there another way to return to factory image or a way to fix this?
This laptop is still fairly young (got it last month) and the warrenty is still good.
I have the above motherboard. I have been using a video card which is three years old and thought I would try out the integrated video before my video card died. I switched it in the Bios and switched the monitor cable and it started fine on integrated video. The only thing is that the first screen where I can enter Bios does not show, so I am unable to enter the Bios. I tried hitting the delete button on the blank screen but nothing happens. I was able to shut down the PC and switch back to the video card, so I am OK. Does anyone have any idea why the first screen doesn't show on integrated?
I remapped my "K" key which is needed to enter my password. How do I undo this? Have tried password reset methods like kon-boot but failed to work. Edit: Did this using SharpKeys.
All of a sudden I can't play any videos in firefox, if I try at you tube it say's that a problem has occurred please try later, I think this problem started when I had a flashplayer update and if I use IE it works fine. I have tried uninstalling flashplayer and firefox and reinstalling them both but with no joy I have also cleared out my history and cache its still the same.
I run Win 7 32-bit and IE8 on my laptop. Until approximately two days ago I could control scrolling in My Favorites, with ability to scan one folder or it's contents at a time. Now, unable to control this action, and after the last visible line, if I try to go further down, the scroller automatically starts over at the top. A similar problem occurs on several websites, but always occurs with Favorites in IE 8. When using Firefox, I can control the scrolling without any problem. I remember that this issue came up about a year ago, when many of us were trying to understand what was going on; unfortunately, I don't remember how it was fixed! I've reset, cleaned cat-hairs from, and changed battery in mouse - not the problem. Windows has added a ton of recent automatic updates and I think one of them is causing the problem. I can view a number of them, and see they are related to Win Office, but due to inability to scroll down any further, I can't view those which may be related to IE.
I tried to log onto Firefox and it said something about not able to connect to the proxy server. I then tried to connect to IE, Opera, and safari and they didn't work. I configured my FF settings to let the network choose the server. But for some programs, like MW2 I cannot access Multiplayer, but I can access teamspeak.
I installed TACO (anti-tracking addon) in Firefox. My menus and bookmarks became too small too read. Sometimes they would become normal or too large but moving the mouse/keyboard made it just too WAY too small.I did a bunch of stuff recommended by Mozilla to fix but in the end I uninstalled FF including all personal data and reinstalled. Same problem.
My two min browsers at the moment are waterfox & chrome..As the title says, Im on a x64 version of Windows 7.Has anyone any advice for me on the best versions of Firefox/Builds of Firefox for a x64 windows?same with Google chrome.
I recently updated to Firefox 18. If I go to Windows' Control Panel and then click on "Uninstall a program", both Firefox 18 and Firefox 15 show up in the list of programs. Should I just leave it as it is, or should I uninstall Firefox 15?
By the way, I updated to Firefox 18 through Firefox's update feature, if that helps.
Facebook used to open just fine last week. Now this week no one in my house can open it. We all get the error message stating that Internet Explorer cannot open the webpage. The funny thing is that Facebook is the only site that is unaccessable. All others work just fine. We are running a Belkin wireless router.we can open Facebook when we connect to the internet using my husbands mobil hotspot on his cell phone.
When I open ie7, my 5 tabs open. But the facebook tab goes to the signin page every time, and now after i signin, it goes to a blank page and will not let me do anything
