just a few days ago when i tried to start up my other computer i got this error. no boot file name received. so i went into my BIOS and disabled boot from network and made sure my HDD was at the top of my boot priority list. then i got this, ''no boot device found, please insert boot CD and press any key''.
ive made no changes to my computer before this happened.
I cannot boot into Windows because it says that the file /boot/BCD is missing with an error code of 0x0000007. If I run Repair from my installation disk and in System Recovery Options, it says that it has detected problems and asks if I want to repair it. The items it wants to repair are: " The following startup option will be repaired:Name: {bootmgr}Identifier: {9DEA862C-5CDD-4E70-ACC1-F32B344D4795}
The following startup options will be added:
Name: Windows 7 Ultimate (recovered) Path: Windows Windows Device: Partition=C: (476938MB) Name: Windows Recovery Environment (recovered) Path: Recovery9426aa67-30ff-11e0-a348-506313b5e718Winre.wim Windows Device: Partition=C: (476938MB)
A copy of the current boot configuration data will be saved as C:BootBCD.Backup.0002"If I click yes, it says that it cannot save the current settings for the BCD and refuses to continue. When I choose Startup Repair, it attempts to fix the problem but fails.
The problem details are:
Root cause found: No OS files found on disk. Repair action: Partition table repair Result: Failed. Error code: 0x3bc3
I think that this is because Startup Repair is trying to fix the thumbdrive that I keep my Windows 7 install files in. I am overseas now and as my computer does not have an internal optical disk drive and my external drive is back home, thus using my thumbdrive is the only way to access the repair console.
Fixmbr and fixboot work, but when I run RebuildBCD, it detects C:Windows as having a Windows installation, but if I type Y(yes) or A(all), it says that the requested system device cannot be found.
My problem is that when I receive some emails that have pictures in them I can't always see them. I have to click on forward email then the pictures will show but not always. I have tried changing the settings but nothing seems to work. My system runs Windows 7 home premium and I use both Internet explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox. My email is through Windows Live/MSN Hotmail. I get the same results with both IE9 and Firefox.
Anyone know why emailing 2 contacts separately works but putting both of the same contacts in the To: field together doesn't. The emails disappear into the ether.

Using Windows Mail I find that some recipiants are not receiving E-mails I send to them. Even when I reply to their E-mails the reply does not go through to their mailbox. They have checked their Spam inbox, but the E-mail does not show up there either. I would appreciate any help along these lines.
I right click, get the drop down menu, click on "Email picture . . . " What I get is a message box with the following, "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action." So when I go to defaults program control there are email programs listed. I installed gmail notifier thinking thhat would help but it did not.
I woke up this morning to no internet access. After unplugging and plugging the modem back in, I had to wait a couple of minutes for the modem's lights to stop flashing. When they did the second light is lit blue. Never seen that before (usually green). I check 192.168.0.1 and I now have 4 channels listed in "downstream".My download/upload speeds are really fast now. Upload only went as high as 2.79 before.
Received above cheerio about a week ago ignored it and carried on as I knew my version was indeed genuine have had it for three years. 2 days ago, after normal start up,the screen went blank actually black , and the only thing showing is the above message again ,with the notation " Build 7601 " Unable to get any thing to come up at all except " Task Master " reference which proved to be useless. So made the call to Microsoft in Manila, and was able to convince them that my item was " genuine " however they then left me "in the lurch " saying I need to get in a tech guy, as the MS guy could not guide me out of my black screen situation, tho he gave me several ideas to try and pull up the "Start " button and get back in,So any ideas how I can get myself back to " Square One " ?? let MS know I am not impressed -- they cause the problem , in my opinion.
Where my BSOD's were not often at all. However these other days in the week, they've been happening every 2-3 days. But that has also dissapeared. Now i BSOD really often, when ever the computer feels like it.This started happening as i said 2 weeks ago when i changed my Motherboard and Processor. Because my old one was a AMD 5200+ Dualcore on a M2N-E Asus AM2.They both died at the same time. So i got myself a ASRock N68-S UCC.But do note that the first four to five days this didnt happen.Everything was fine after changing my hardware. So .. Ive read my minidumps with "whocrashed" and it indicates it is most likely a driver/ software problem and NOT hardware.Yes indeed this is a wall of text, but as a gamer i cannot proceed to enjoy my hobby with a BSOD constantly popping up.My usual temperatures for the CPU are about 35C at idle and 40C - 50C Ingame. Same goes with GPU and just about everything else.I am running on the latest drivers for all of my components, ive tried rolling back to see if the BSOD's dissapear but nope.So im guessing it's not those.I compressed the minidump into a rar file and uploaded it. There is a file also called "Additional info" make sure to read it!It contains important information gathered by "whocrashed".
Windows 7. This started happening about a week ago. When I receive an email that has a link or when I even click on something I want to open that has a link. It opens the link in WORD. In order to open the link I have to save as a favorite and then it will open.
i have a severe problem. whenever i use connect option and get connected to internet, data starts to downloaded automatically. i fear some programmes are running in the background unnoticedd. how can i stop this so that i can save my banwidh and hence money?
I'm on windows 7 x64 bit and ive suddenly been getting this error messege alot. Everytime i play TF2, within like 10 minutes of starting the computer BSODs and give me the error messege "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor" its happened like 5 times so its not a fluke. The latest hardware changes i have done:3 weeks ago: bought a pci GPU to run a third monitor and replaced a wireless G adapter with a wireless N adapter 1 week ago: went back to my wireless G adapter because the wireless N adapter SUCKED (who set of headaches...)I only started getting this error messege about 3 days ago. Ive read some forums and people have been saying that it could be a core on the CPU going bad. I'm thinking about replacing my cpu soon, but i dont want to do it then still get the same error messege.
I have this Acer 722 Aspire One 11" screen mini laptop which I use for traveling. I have not used it since 15 Dec 2011 and tried today to update any changes to W7 but receive error code 8024402F. I attempted it several times but receive the same error code. How can I correct this situation.
I just purchases a new DELL desktop system that runs Windows 7 and the newest version of Windows mail. My ISP is Comcast. Since using this Windows mail, people with email accounts on verizon.net and optonline.net do not receive my email messages when sent thru Windows mail. If I send these people the same message thru Comcast webmail the message is received by these people. Email accounts on yahoo, gmail, and various other servers can receive the messages. This leads me to conclude that there is something that Windows mail is doing to the outgoing message that is causing it to be rejected by certain servers
am getting 2 bsod on computer after installing a printer? was working without flaw up until then. first (and most persistent) is the one on the subject line and the other is "problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage"I've attached photos of both with appropriate minidumps for anyone who would like to give this a shot. I already uninstalled any drivers associated with the printer. I had a video card radeon hd 4670 that I uninstalled and actually got to go 4 hours without a reboot, but it happened anyway. I have bitdefender total home security running, but I have for the better part of a year without any trouble.
So i've been getting very regular blue screens only while playing games, and I thought it was about time to try and fix this as it has been happeneing nearly every 10-15 minutes after playing. (specifically the games played are bf3, arma 2, guild wars 2 and counterstrike global offensive). The error I get on the blue screen is "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval" and it's the exact same message every time. Sometimes my computer will lock up and play a horrible sounding noise (sounds a bit like "errrrrrrrttttt") it will mostly BSOD shortly after but sometimes it even comes back. I downloaded blue screen viewer and it seems from there that a driver called "ntoskrnl.exe" is the main culprit, however some other drivers are showing up as the cause, this one (ntoskrnl.exe) seems to be the main one causing it. I've attched the mini dump files for the last 5 blue screens.[CODE]
Was just doing normal stuff on my computer today. Had 3 browsers open, Magic Jack, Skype, Word Doc, and Microsoft Money open. An error screen popped up but I didn't think too much of it. 30 seconds later I got a blue screen. I let it go through the process to restart. When I logged back in, it blue screened again. When it came back up I went into safe mode to look at the event viewer. It says "The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer ROB-PC". Rob-pc is a different computer in my house. I shut it down and this one has been up since.
I am trading drafts of a document with a friend by gmail. When I download the Word document, it is automatically saved as a doc.x, and the formatting is messed up. Also, when I attach the revised document to an email to send back, the Word document is automaticalled attached as a doc.x. How can I disable this?

So a few days ago this problem started when playing just WoW, My computer would randomly lock up for 5-10 seconds at a time, during this period the sound would loop and the entire computer would lock up. The problem got worse and worse to where most of the time it happens now i have to do a hard reset of my system. It is still isolated to WoW most of the time however i have started getting short lock ups when playing other games, never lasting more than a couple seconds in those. Not sure why this problem just started but here are a few facts:Since it started i have updated my BIOS as well as my Graphics drivers, ive checked for virus and also done a system restore. attached is my JCGRIFF2 File and below is my DXDIAG.[CODE]
When I went to use my computer this morning, I received "VCGFE is compressed press ctr-alt-delete" message. I rebooted the computer, and I'm receiving the same message. I tried to go to safe mode (F8) but that didn't work.
I have done a quick search around here to see if I could locate this problem so as not to replicate it but couldn't find anything so I'll fire away.I recently bought Windows 7 Pro 64-bit upgrade, I'm currently running XP Pro 32-bit. I ran into some problems during setup, most of which I managed to fix, but the latest one has me stumped.Basically when the setup reaches the 'expanding Windows files' part of the setup I get a BSOD which reads: Clock interrupt not received on secondary processor within allocated timeframe.[CODE]I suppose I can safely assume that the problem is hardware related, but exactly what is beyond me. I was wondering if it could be to do with the memory not being paired? I have recently replaced my hard drive with a new one as my last XP installation's registry became corrupt beyond the point of salvaging.
After 3 days of frustration to get the Tux for TF2, I very stupidly uninstalled Ubuntu incorrectly, the result was no longer being able to boot Windows 7. I receive a BSOD after the Starting Windows screen. After some googling, it appeared my Master Boot Record was corrupt. I followed all the step which involved using my Windows 7 'legit' installation disk and using the command prompt to restore the MBR, but my Windows 7 still refuses to boot. I honestly do not want to format my current HDD and install Windows 7 again and download all my games and such back. That seems to be my only option next to buying a new HDD.
