I need my laptop to appear as a massachusetts/boston IP address. I am from boston but im currently in costa rica... i want to listen to the patriots game but the radio station that broadcasts it online is only accessible to regional listeners. (according to their info page).
I dont know for sure how it works, since this will be the first time i tried listening to it outside boston. But i want to get a workaround figured out before the game starts just in case i have a chance to make it work.
I am wondering if i can get around this with something like TOR browser or something similar... as far as i can tell TOR assigns a random IP but nothing i can choose.
When multiple accounts are added on Outlook 2010 and you create a new email, autocomplete in the 'to' field shows suggestions from every account. Is it possible to only show suggestions relevant to the account the email is being sent from.For example, if I had my personal account and a customer services account, when I go to send an email from my personal account, every email address who has ever communicated with the customer services account shows which is quite risky.
Step 1 - locate and save file 7507807.exe or search for the "BA735 USB" driver which contains all the Boston Human Interface Device drivers. Run the file and save the files somewhere useful and easy to find on your PC.
Step 2 - go to Device & Printers; right mouse click your PC's icon and choose Device Installation settings. Choose No and Never .... I like to call this turn off the MS knows best switch. Save changes etc.
Step 3 - Install the BA735 USB speakers to the USB port you intend to leave it on.
Step 4 - Windows 7 should now try to load the driver. Because I didn't do in this order not sure of how this works, but make sure Windows 7 goes to the %7507807CABSWIN2KINF folder and you should see the BAUSBHID.inf driver file. Install this one and none other. If all works the HID entry in Device Manager WILL say "Boston Human Interface Device". You may hahve to reboot after this.
Step 4B (how I got it to work) was to Select the first "USB input Device" from the Device manager HID section. Then choose which driver to install as in the steps above. It must be from the WIN2KINF folder.
Step 5 - In the "Sound" option in control panel make sure the Boston USB AUdio Device is set as the Default Device. Have something playing to test it out, I still had speaker connected directly to the sound card and this just swapped the sound from them to the Boston ones. Voila!
A similar process to this will get these same speaker working in XP.
My internet connection shows 'no internet access' even though my ISP shows the connection is coming into the house just fine. I usually use a router (NetGear-WNR3500U) but I right now I have the Ethernet connection plugged directly into my PC. I tried directly plugging into my laptop and the internet works just fine. So I know the problem resides in the PC.
Some troubleshooting things I have tried.
-Power cycled my modem, router and PC.
-Repinged my connection from my ISP(Comcast Xfinity)
-Used the reset option on the router and the modem
-I was walked through the internet options needed with the tech support from my ISP to make sure DHCP was enabled and every other setting was correct, and he cleared me that all settings were correct.
-Tried ipconfig commands to /renew and /release my IP When I tried ipconfig /renew I get the error 'An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server'
-Restored my PC to a restore point where the Internet was working
All of these options did not work.
What I think the problem is and I am not sure how to fix it, when I run the ipconfig /all command my Auto configuration IPv4 Address shows 169.254.112.76 which I was told is a router IP address even though I am plugged directly from the modem to my PC with an Ethernet cord. So I think that's my problem? But I am not sure.

I'm putting together a slide show of 3D images that I want to show on my TV next week when we have company.I would like the images to stay on the screen a little longer without having to actually create a slide show in some special application like Premiere. The Slide Show function in Explorer works great if I can control the timing.
just completed a first-time new Windows 7 PC build. Successful installation of Windows 7 Pro on WD 600GB 10000 system drive. Went back and installed 4 additional HDD. (2) WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM and (2) WD Caviar 7200 500GB HDD from XP system that were used for storage.
BIOS sees all HDDs, but are not viewable in Disk Management. System Specs: Antec Nine Hundred ASUS P6X58D-E MOBO

However, only three are visible in Disk Management. Missing (1) WD 500GB (previously used on WinXP system) and (1) new WD 1T.
I was using my desktop like normal then an error came up saying that there was a hdd failure, and that i needed to scan for errors. all my files disappeared and only this error would come up. There would be hundreds of the same msg spamed on my screen. I scaned my hdd for errors using my Bios/Advanced options and no errors came up. I decided to take out the hdd and put it into my External Hdd bay to hook up to my laptop to extract the data off it.When i hooked it up to my laptop it showed up empty. I went into folder options and clicked on show hidden files and folders. Everything came up but it was grey/transparent. I then copied the files to another hdd for backup.
Then i formatted the hdd and put on a fresh new OS. Id like to mention i have a second internal drive that i use for backups but it wasnt backed up recently when this issue happen so i had to take out the main drive and use it as an external to back up onto another external drive.so then when i click on my second internal drive after the reinstall of the new OS it shows empty i have to go in and show hidden files and folders.. now they show again transparent. also i plug in my external to get the recent back up and all those files are still transparent when i move them to my desktop that is freshly OS installed they are still grey/transparent and i have to keep the show hidden files and folders to view them.. so its all my music, pics, documents etc they are all greyed out..i tried to copy my backup IE favs into my new IE browser and they wont show up because they are hiden it shows it copied to the favs folder but in ie i cannot view them if that makes any sense.
I am using windows 7 64bit in compaq presario CQ61. today i go to cmd and type ipconfig but i can't see my ip adress. insted of showing ip it shows my media state disconnected. i send a picture sample of this.
I am trying to obtain the ip adderess on a computer. When I go to run type cmd and ipconfig it is giving me media disconnected. I tried typing in ipconfig/all and it gave me media disconnected and said the physical address is 00-24-E8-24-47-40. I don't know what this means or what I need to do. I have a d-link router "DIR 825 " I come out of my brighthouse modem to the router and go across the room to a netgear switch. I have one computer that won't find a ip address when coming out of the netgear switch. I have to run straight from the D-link router to the pc to get on line. The other PC works fine coming out of the switch. Is there something I can check to get the one pc to recognize the IP address when coming out of the netgear switch

Not the ipv4 one, but the actual one e.g. the one when i go to [URL].I am Running Virgin Media Broadband, and recently got a brand new Hub [URL] along with a new ip and i was told that it is "dynamic". I have 3 Win 7 computers in LAN (simple lan) with 192.168.1.5 / 6 / 8 ip address given to them. Default gateway set to 192.168.1.1 ( ip of my broadband modem).
Many times when my pcs are restarted , the IP address fields are turned blank and the option " Obtain IP address automatically" gets selected..

I just got interest on using address bar in taskbar of windows 7... I still cant do anything on this address bar so I want some tips to fully use of this address bar
OK .. had (actually still have since I just installed a new hard drive for a clean install of WIN 7 and have the old drive available) XP using Outlook 2003.
Installed WIN 7, loaded the new Beta version of Office Pro 2010 (hey .. it was free and good for a year).
Don't have a Personal address book. My contacts did import into the Contact Mgr but this doesn't enable me to click on several email addys so I can send to multiple people.
Is tehre anything I can do to get the same capabilities I had WIN XP and Outlook 2010 Beta?
BTW .. I also removed Ofc 2010 and went back to my tried and true Office Pro 2003 but have the same problem.
Did the same for the Thunderbird.
I have never went to Vista (so maybe some of the shortcomings/differences were addressed there). I do have a legal copy of OFC 2007 (never been unwrapped since I heard it didn't have any new features I would use over 2003 but had a different GUI look) if that would help.
Also, Don't have all the folders I had with XP and Outlook 2003. I had a LOT of messages stored in different folders but import them (or don't know how).
Like I said .. I can put my old HD in and boot up my XP if I need to do special exports or anything.
