View 1 RepliesAfter a clean install of Windows 7, I installed Office 2007. I also installed Windows Live Mail not to use it as an e-mail client, but only as an intermediate to import mail accounts. Therefore, I imported all my many e-mail accounts to Windows Live Mail from previously saved IAF files. Until here all worked as expected. The problem is that now, when I try to "Import internet mail account settings" from Windows Live Mail to Outlook it just answers "No internet accounts were found to import". How come?
Can someone please instruct me on how to overcome this problem, please?
I have an old XP computer with all my e-mail contacts. I copied the address book to a flash drive and pasted it to my new laptop windows 7 home premium desktop that uses Live mail. When I click on it it tells me it is exporting to the contact file, but nothing shows up in my live mail contact list.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Ultimate built from scratch, (although this same issue happened before the rebuild, from an upgrade to Windows 7 Pro from Windows Vista); Windows 7 is build 7600.I have a multiple monitor setup and Outlook runs on the r/h screen. When I use Outlook 2007, I click new mail, and the new message window opens on the l/h screen. Same when I click reply or forward. Whether I am opening a new message, or replying/forwarding an existing message, sometimes, (and it really is sporadic), the new message window won't take focus. So when I started to type, my focus shoots up and down on the Outlook window; e.g. if I hit H to start typing H, it will try and jump to a message starting with H.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having repeated problems with outlook 2007. Firstly, When trying to send mail, especially with more than one recipient, I am getting an "Operation Aborted" ErrorI did find one fix for this and that is to re-arrange the recipients untill it sends. But this is quite time consuming, should there be more than 7 recipients... (Try breaking a 7 digit combination lock)Is there a fix for this? What can I do?Secondly, Even though the mail has been sent, it stays in the outbox. I have sort of fixed this by disabling cache mode in connections setup, but it seems to turn itself back on again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a user who tells me she deleted her Junk Mail folder from Outlook 2007. She has two e-mail profiles and claims it is missing from both. I won't have access to the computer for a day or so, but I wanted to find a solution beforehand.
I assumed it would be as simple as going to Deleted Items and restoring the folder...but from what I've been reading, that isn't the case, and she shouldn't have been able to delete the folder in the first place.
I'm using Outlook 2007 and an IMAP server through Godaddy (which I am quickly disliking after many years). I run several accounts, two of which are IMAP (the others are POP). This morning, all of a sudden, the previously retrieved messages on ONE of the IMAP accounts no longer appear in Outlook, despite being on the server -- I can see all of them via webmail. There is only one folder - the Inbox. The other IMAP account still functions normally (which is also through Godaddy), and all my saved folders that reside locally all function normally too -- none of that mail is gone as best I can tell.
I can receive new mail without issue, and send mail as well, but cannot access the old mail via Outlook. I don't get any error messages, I haven't changed any settings, and I've run Microsoft's "Outlook 2007 Inbox Repair Tool" - SCANPST on all my PST files. The tool found errors in all the files, and it repaired them, but that has not changed a thing.
Every time I open outlook it begins to download mail but never completes task. At the same time it locks the internet connection and computer must be rebooted to get connection open again. If outlook never opened connection never shuts down. This is a new problem, 2 weeks ago. Virus Protection is Vipre. Already checked to see if excessively large email on server was causing issue but that is not the case.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is quite a complex operation and MS doesn't actually explain how to do it so here goes.
The trick is to get your email messages into Outlook Express (OE on XP) or Windows Mail (on Vista) before you can import into Windows Live mail. Then the import can be done directly.
There isn't any way currently to import mail directly from Outlook to Windows Live Mail so you have to do it indirectly BEFORE installing Windows 7.
1) even if you don't use Outlook Express (XP) or Windows Mail (VISTA) you need to have them running on the same machine as your copy of OUTLOOK.
2) create (if you haven't already) email accounts in OE or Windows mail identical to those you have in Outlook.
3) Now import your messages from Outlook into OE or Windows Mail.
4) Change the Store Identity in OE or Windows mail to a disk that your Windows 7 can read (do this under Maintenance - data storage locations in OE or Windows Mail).
Doing this saves you having to install Live Mail on Vista or XP
5) Logon to your Windows 7 system and install Windows Live mail.
6) Set up your email accounts
7) File ==> import==>messages
8) Chose Outlook express or Windows mail depending on step 3)
9) Browse to the directory where you stored the messages in step 4)
10) Job done.
A bit fiddly but obviously MS don't want to make it easy for people to switch from Outlook
Note also the "Send and Receive" function is calles "SYNC" in Windows Live mail -- confusing but there it is.
If you also installed Windows Messenger you can prevent it from starting automatically at startup by going to the Orb ==>acessories==>run. type msconfig and unclick windows messenger in the start up box.
There doesn't appear to be ANY method of importing mail directly from Outlook 2003/2007.
I have an old XP laptop which I was using Outlook Express for one of my mail accounts (a work account). I also ran regular Outlook for another (personal). I want to have both of these accounts on my new PC.
My new PC is running Windows 7 wiht Office 2007. I used the Windows transfer cable and things worked failry well. My regular Outlook files all came over well, but nothing for Outlook Express.
I really would like to take this time to somehow export my OE files into my Outlook 2007. I would really like to keep the account which imported in on Outlook seperate.
Question 1: Is there a way to import my OE files into Outlook 2007?
Question 2: Is there a way to have two seperate email accounts in Outlook without combining them? Basically I want to have a work email and a personal and keep them seperate.
If I can't have two seperate emails with Outlook, can anyone suggest something which would allow me to export my old Outlook (the old personal emails) into another program so that I can at least use my work email on Outlook 2007?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my setup:
- PC1 runs Win 7 and Outlook 2010. It has my personal Inbox called Jon Local.
- PC2 runs Win XP and Outlook 2003. It holds my company data and is Server.
I want to change this setup so that I only have all my Outlook data on PC1, running under Outlook 2010. So, I need to migrate the data from PC2 to PC1.
1. How do I do this?!
2. Do I need to convert the format of the data on PC1 to a new Outlook format?
3. Can I export the account settings? No idea what all the pop settings are and the passwords, so would be nice if I can export that and import into Outlook 2010.
4. I need to have the company data from PC2 separate from PC1. Will it give me two Inbox?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used outlook 2007 for years on XP with same account settings and no issues. I got a new pc with windows 7 and now it is constantly stops working. I have 8 IMAP accounts, and it is always a different one that causes it. For instance, 1 day i can look at 7 account, but as soon as i look at an 8th outlook stops working. The only way to fix it is remove the account and reconfigure it all over again. then a day or two later a different account will start doing the same thing. So basically, i am having to re configure my accounts every couple of days.
