Mouse Freezing On Motherboard USB Ports?

I built a computer this past week. I am using a Logitech K270 and Performance Mouse MX with one unifying receiver. My problem is that whenever I plug the receiver into a USB port on the back of my motherboard the mouse cursor becomes jittery. Sometimes it will stop while I am using it, and then I need to lift the mouse to make it move again. However, if I plug the receiver into one of the USB ports on my case the mouse works perfectly.

Mobo: Asus p8z77-v
Gpu: HIS IceQ Radeon 7870
Case: Rosewill Thor V2
Psu: Rosewill 1000w
Keyboard: Logitech K270
Mouse: Logitech Performance Mouse MX
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Having installed win 7 I get the following error message
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."
The mother board is a MSI K9N Neo V3
Any ideas on how to fix, have looked on MSi site and no updates have tried reinstalling and nothing works.

The system is built around an Intel Dual Core processor, Asus P5K motherboard running 4gb DDR 2 RAM and an ATI Radeon graphics card. I installed a new copy of Windows 7 Ultimate on a recently formatted hard drive and added and an extra PCI 4 port USB card. My issue is that all of the 6 motherboard USB ports are powered (I can charge my phone from each one) but do not recognise any device plugged into them. Have tried keyboard, mouse, usb drive, camera and so on. Windows doesn't blink when anything is plugged in. When I plug a device into one of the 4 ports on my PCI USB card it installs new device and is working perfectly with absolutely no issues. I have done the following:
- Removed power cable and small lithium MBoard battery overnight,
- Flashed the bios several times upto and including the lastest version,
- Checked that USB is enabled in all BIOS settings,
- Downloaded and installed the latest Chipset drivers,
- Checked that Device Manager correctly sees all the USB ports and drivers. Everything is displayed with no errors or flags.
- Deleted and reinstalled all USB components.
- Windows is fully updated including the language packs.
With my 4 port USB card working perfectly am I to assume I have a biffed motherboard? I just cant understand that as they have power and are recognised in Device manager. And were working perfectly with Windows XP Pro installed previously.

Upgraded the bios from F4 to F5 and no effect. Can't see any devices that I plug into these ports. Never liked the transfer rate on these ports when they were working.Very slow - like a standard USB port.

I have Logitech Performance MX mouse. It used to work fine until somebody installed other mouse on my computer. Since then mouse was randomly disconnectign and reconnecting every minute.I managed to fix that now mouse is stabile but even though all drivers are installed it is seen as HID mouse and not my Performance mouse - so i cannot for example see its level of batter load.The other problem is there is loads of extra identified USB controlers and mouses even tho i have just connected 1 mouse, 1 keyboard by other USB port + 1 external HDD. Thats just 3 USB slots total.If i put pendrive into computer, then mouse keeps disconnecting againIf i turn on 'shield scannign devices' then after puttign USB into drive i have 3 seconds to click 'not scan it' if i do that, it wont be disconnecting. Yet turning off scanning makes mouse disconnecting on putting extra pendrives.Here is what i tried so far:@ USB Driver - General Fix for@ Turning off windows shell scan [to not auto scan devices].@ Chaning ports, upgrading bios etc.@ RUnning windows 7 USB problem fixer. I recently got a new msi 970a-g46 motherboard and put together a new computer using my old hard drive. Problem is it isnt recognizing my usb mouse or keyboard. I also tried the ps2 port with an old keyboard and mouse but only the keyboard will work.Ive tried 2 different mice and they both dont work. I need a mouse to reinstall windows. I dont know what the problem is

My mouse keeps freezing on my hp 3180us. It seems to happen very randomly. I will usually have to restart multiple times to get it to work again. The light to show if it is enabled or disabled still works, if I plug in a wireless mouse then it will work, and I can still use other items such as the keyboard. Though it has completely frozen all together a few times.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, run avast, superantispyware, spybot, and malware bytes. I cant seem to figure out why it is happening. The mouse is by Synaptics.

When i'm using my windows 7 at anywhere it somedays starts freezing and sound starts slowing and giving Buzz sound. When i move mouse or press keyboard it freezes like 0.5 sec and after that it's again ''normal'' untill i move/press again.I have noticed that my HDD goes NUTS whit reading if i move mouse alot or press buttons alot. Could it be HDD failure or it's in my windows 7?This bug happens pure random somedays i play over 6h whitout it but sometimes it can happen after booting computer.

However, there began some problems at startup about my mouse. Randomly, lets say, in every 7-8 Boots, my computer doesnt recognise my mouse, saying that "device could not be installed" or something like that, you know, the default "usb device error".. And i must either re-plug it, or restart the computer..I've changed the ports, re-done everyting, but no chance..It happens randomly, just before "Welcome" screen appears, the light of the mouse fades away, and after Welcome screen, cursor does not move.Thinking that it would be a mo'bo issue, i've changed it with a better model MSI 990FXA-GD65.Another format, another install of the newest things, bios update..However, shit happens again!I've got a A4 X7 XL-750BK mouse, which is kinda new and doesnt have (and had) any problem except this one. It is an 'Advent T9208'.The GPU was previously upgraded to a GeForce 8600GT. Yesterday I upgraded the RAM to 4GB and installed Windows 7 64-bit. Everything was running grand and then the system froze. But the I was able to move the mouse and see it move on screen. Everything else however was unresponsive.There is one driver that windows 7 isn't picking up and I'm not sure what it is, but I honestly don't think that's the problem.As shown in the link, there are 2x 250GB HDDs. They are set to RAID.

OH, almost forgot the add..I've also got a USB Powered Sound Card, a Line 6 UX2, and it just works flawlessly, never had such "functional" problems..

I have a desktop computer running Windows 7 64-bit. I have had it around 1 month and just today have found it keeps freezing on me. The screen literally freezes on one image and I cannot move the mouse/use the keyboard. The fans are still running inside the PC and I cannot see why this happens.

A few days ago I installed a USB 3.0 card (to be precise, this one: 2-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed PCI-E Controller Card - Free Shipping - DealExtreme). It uses the very common NEC PD720200 USB 3.0 controller. I installed the required drivers for Windows 7, and the card worked fine for the first day or so. but not since. Whenever I plug in a USB 3.0 external hard drive, I get a false "This device can perform faster..." message, as if I had plugged the drive in a USB 2.0 port.
The external drive I am using is a Western Digital MyBook Essential 1130. It is definitely a USB 3.0 drive, and came with the required USB 3.0 cable. While the USB 3.0 card was working, I got full-speed transfers to the limit of the hard drive's ability, about 90-100 MB/s. Now I can only get USB 2.0 speeds (33-34 MB/s). Windows insists I have the drive plugged into a USB 2.0 port even though it is plugged directly into the USB 3.0 card.
Things I tried so far: -rebooting and complete power cycle. No difference. -plugging the drive into one port or the other. Also no difference. -Looked in Device manager.The controller is recognized as a USB 3.0 device is using the proper NEC drivers.
Other info that may be important:
-No overclocking settings in use.
-I made sure the cable was plugged in all the way. It's in as far as it can go, but the ports will still only act like USB 2.0 ports.
I might as well throw the card away if it is only going to act as a USB 2.0 device.

I recently built my first PC three days ago...
Specs:
i7 bloomfield 960 processor
4x4 vengeance ram
crosair hx850 PSU
evga x58 ftw3 mobo
hd 6870 radeon graphics xfx
When I first installed windows it started to work just fine but I soon noticed that it would randomly freeze every 15-30 minutes of use, but not on a particular program or anything. I assumed it was drivers so I installed the latest drivers for my GPU and MOBO and keyboard. It seemed fine again until it started crashing again. I ran a GPU burn test and a CPU burn test it passed both. (I tried runing memtest86+ but it froze at like 12%) Then I tried fixing the registry so I downloaded ccleaner and fixed the registry problems. Freezes continued. I finally decided to re install windows so I did and the problems still continued. I am at a loss of what to do and can't think of anything else.

Computer is currently suffering from persistent freezing and bluescreens. It seems to happen almost randomly, and usually very soon after startup and loading of Windows. System restore has not helped.'fraid that's all the info I can give right now. Any recommendations? If anyone wants me to run hijackthis or dxdiag and post results I'd be more than happy to (assuming I can get that far before it freezes!). Safe mode does work, and the problem does not occur while in safe mode.

i just finished my build and i have no idea why i went for a motherboard with 2 slots for ram it can hold up to 16gb but luckly ebuyer sent me out an extra 4gb of kingston hyperx ram so i have 8gb all together but theres a problem theres 4 sticks ! obviously i wouldnt want to send it back so what do ya think either upgrade my motherboard and smash the extra 4 gb in there or keep to my original one i dont have money to blow atall im really struggling if its something that will really make a difference ill go with it if not then ill just keep to my original and when i come to buy a graphics card i will get a 2gb graphics card to help with gaming?

My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag

Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

I have a USB mouse which works fine when it is plugged in at boot time.
When I then (when Win7 is already up) plug the USB mouse out and 10 seconds later back in again then it is not working any more.
Another USB mouse on another Win7 computer does not have such problems.

I probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.

I have a W7 64b laptop.My mouse has started having problems, first it didn't click on things when i pressed it but if you persist it does no no big harm there. Biggest problem I am facing is the mistaking of the wheel with mouse 1. Some times when I am browsing the net and i have to scroll, and generally every time I move my mouse fast, it automatically presses the wheel. It is getting really annoying and I dont know how to stop it. I changed the mouse with another,and I had the same problem.I dont know what to do.I believe its a virus but pc didnt find anything with avast.

I recently bought a USB to RS232 adapter (it works fine). My question is: How can find out which com port it is using, except by trying all of them and then finding the one that works. I have a older Thunderbird GPS 10 MHz frequency standard thet requires a RS232 interface to talk to it (for setup purposes). The first thing it askes me is which com port I'm using(1-16).

So, how come I still get "This device can run faster" messages in
my Windows 7 64 bit home premium installation?? I went to Gigabytes webpage and installed the chipset drivers for Windows 7 on there, but still get the same message when I plug in my Corsair 4GB jumpdrive.

First a little background:
System - Dell Inspiron 546, Windows 7 Home Premium x86 64 bit.
I'm an Engineer/Designer/Machinist and work with CAD/CAM programming. After I create the programs with the toolpaths for my CNC Macining Center I use a separate program to transfer the machine control data to the CNC.
Here is my dilemma - Win 7 is not compatable with the old 16 or 32 bit, file transfer program I had been using with XP and Vista. I have found 64 bit programs that are compatible but cannot get the computer and CNC to communicate.
The problem I'm having is, in the file transfer software I need to set the Parameters such a Comm Port, Baud Rate, etc. I cannot determine the port assignment for the usb connections. In XP and Vista they were Comm 4 and I could find that in Device Manager/Ports. Win 7 doesn't seem to have a listing for ports. How do I determine this.

I have five USB 2.0 hub successfully operating over 20 devices. As these fail I will upgrade to 3.0. Anticipating more 3.0 devices and a 3.0 motherboard in the future. Why do they only have four ports? If I am mixing 2.0 hub with 3.0 hub's should I plug in. In a certain order
