I recently got a new msi 970a-g46 motherboard and put together a new computer using my old hard drive. Problem is it isnt recognizing my usb mouse or keyboard. I also tried the ps2 port with an old keyboard and mouse but only the keyboard will work.Ive tried 2 different mice and they both dont work. I need a mouse to reinstall windows. I dont know what the problem is
View 3 RepliesI built a computer this past week. I am using a Logitech K270 and Performance Mouse MX with one unifying receiver. My problem is that whenever I plug the receiver into a USB port on the back of my motherboard the mouse cursor becomes jittery. Sometimes it will stop while I am using it, and then I need to lift the mouse to make it move again. However, if I plug the receiver into one of the USB ports on my case the mouse works perfectly.
Cpu: 3570k
Mobo: Asus p8z77-v
Gpu: HIS IceQ Radeon 7870
Case: Rosewill Thor V2
Psu: Rosewill 1000w
Keyboard: Logitech K270
Mouse: Logitech Performance Mouse MX
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit
I have a USB mouse which works fine when it is plugged in at boot time.
When I then (when Win7 is already up) plug the USB mouse out and 10 seconds later back in again then it is not working any more.
Another USB mouse on another Win7 computer does not have such problems.
I recently purchased a Dell laptop with Win 7 Home Prem. installed. I've been unable to discover if you can set it up to open files, etc. with a single as opposed to double-click of the mouse. I remember for sure that you could do this with Win XP.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Gigabyte motherboard that has just stopped working.Ive tested the PSU CPU RAM etc and they are all fine and the motherboard hasnt got any life at all for some unknown reason.the board is 11 months old and is being picked up by courier on monday and they said they will give me a refund.so in the mean time ive been looking at new boards as the one i have GA P41-ES3G seems to of been discontinued.y old board ran off DDR2 was Socket 775 Intel Q8400 Processor and its hard to track down boards that will take those components.I have seen one:- GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-G41M-Combo (rev. 1.4)It says Rev 1.4 but the ones ive seen for sale either dont say what rev or say 1.2 or 1.3What are the differences in Rev and would it be a problem if its an older Rev i buy?

Now when I turn on my pc its on the screen that says press ctrl alt delete to restart and I can't even use my keyboard or mouse. So I try to turn usb legacy back on but I can't even get on the bios by pressing f2. What can I do?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently build a Frankenstein desktop, or at least that's what I'm calling. I started out replacing the motherboard in a HP Pavillion p6130y desktop.
After some research I found that the stock motherboard as pretty outdated so I decided to go aftermarket. I wanted to replace as little as possible but now the only original parts are the dvd drive and network card. The network card has to screws on the back to attach an antenna and is a PCI1x card.
Current Problem: I now have a problem where after installing the card and Windows 7 Professional , I can see the list of available wireless networks including my own.
But, I cannot connect to any of them even though my own network has full signal strength.
Speakers are working just fine(green part of headphone) but wen i plug in the red wire tere aint any pop up for it neither does it work

After disabling all startups and services other than MS, succeeded in getting the drivers installed. Now I'm trying to clean the crap out of the computer, one of which is "Amazon Links". Will not uninstall from EITHER Programs and Features or Revo Uninstaller. Get the message that is the title of this post. 've seen many threads on the Web about this, but none that had a real answer. I would ordinarily try safe mode, but cannot find any folder with Amazon Links in it, so don't know where it is.

My problem is that my usb mouse is correctly recognized by Windows 7 x64 (no exclamation points in device manager) but it refuses to work, the mouse arrow doesn't moves...
The curious is that the first time I booted into Windows 7, the mouse worked but in the next boots I had to "Deactivate" and "Activate" the mouse in the device manager.
I've already uninstalled/reinstalled the mouse and connected it to the other USB ports (wich I'm sure that works because I can connect pen drives that work flawlessly).
An additional note might be that this same mouse works fine under Vista (is there a way to use Vista generic drivers in Windows 7?).

I've tried restarting it and I can't get past the first screen. I bought a logitech wireless mouse (v220) a few days ago and it works on my E6410, E6510, Thinkpad T500, NC6230, and custom amd gaming machine.However, on the machine it is intended for use on, it does not work. It seems to work fine (as far as I can tell) in windows. In media center, bridge, firefox, ect... it just doesn't work. You move the mouse, nothing happens, or it moves very spotty.
