Aug 23, 2009I have a Microsoft Habu mouse and although I have the most recent drivers and Software installed it just doesn't feel smooth even when not running a game.

Annoying Mouse Lag - Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500
Sep 19, 2012Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

I used gpedit to disable auto install and uninstalled all of the usb drivers also gives me a code 19. where can i just find a generic usb driver or something.

Oct 9, 2011Recently a friend of mine gave me a Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.1 because mine broke and I was in need of another mouse.The first day I used it everything was ok but then Windows 7 started giving Unkown device message and errors.I can fix it but only temporary by plugging out the battery for 15 minutes after boot the pc the mouse will work but if the cable will be moved a bit,I will get unknown device message.

Jul 13, 2012Can't believe what you read nowadays anymore. I bought a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 to replace an ailing optical laser mouse that's on its last legs, and on the package it said that one "AA" battery would last for one entire year without replacing. What it meant was, it would have took until the next spring before it's time to replace the battery.Apparently, the mouse doesn't think like that, it appears, and when I was looking down at it, there was a red warning light indicating that the single battery had already been exhausted from use. Between surfing the web and playing some Team Fortress 2 now and then this is more than just a "mobile" mouse.

Nov 23, 2011I just bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and it works fine when connected but it disconnects when my computer is idle. Once disconnected it is not recognized again when I start using my computer again. To get my computer to connect to it again I either have to restart or delete the drivers and reconnect the mouse. Is there a way to change the bluetooth settings so that it doesn't "sleep" after a period of time? I dont know if that is the problem but I cant think of anything else. I'm using the mouse on my desktop outlined in my system specs.

Oct 25, 2011Im using a microsoft wireless mouse wheel to scroll through web pages on IE9 and win 7. I set its speed to the lowest possible in control panel and it works fine.
When i restart my laptop, the speed is back up to full when i scroll, but when i check in control panel >mouse settings, the speed shows that its still set to the lowest setting. I move the slider, click apply and it works again.
how i can get my mouse wheel speed to be consistent between reboots?

Mouse but mainly keyboard (both Microsoft) are not detected during the cold boot from time to time, i suspect the BIOS is the one to blame i have the latest version, what can i do?Both are USB.When i turn on the PC from time to time a long beep takes place and a message during posting (no keyboard detected). Sometimes happens sometimes not. PS/2 ports didn't work for me, when im using them NOTHING gets recognized (and yes i turned off the PC before plugging them).

The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The problem is that since its reading two mice the one i have been using forever has stopped working right.ouble Click is disabled and it moves extremely fast. I go to disable the HID Mouse and everything is working fine again. But when the computer restarts it seems to reinitalize the HID Mouse. So i uninstalled the driver for it. Next reboot it was back again and this time the headset wasnt even plugged in. I am not getting any error messages in my device manager but i cant seem to get the HID mouse to disappear. Whenever i plug anything into the USB port even if its a Thumb drive the mouse comes back.

Nov 17, 2011When using Microsoft Update, there is a security update for .NET Framework 3.5.1 R2 SP1 for x64 systems
( that would be my machine) - KB2518869 & KB2572077. I download them, yet the install fails and the following " Error Encountered Code 80073712" is called out.1st I am not knowledgable of the purpose of .NET and its workings so cannot talk intelligently about it.AND I have tried to down load this a few times ( even with some tech support help from AVG ) and they too could not crack the code.

May 29, 2011I want to install SP1 on my home m/c but it's a slow link (file size is approx 1GB) and I want to download SP1 on another machine (XP) with a faster link and then run it on my m/c.
When I try and download from Microsoft it says XP m/c illegal action (or some such). So far I have been unable to find a copy I can download on a XP m/c.

Nov 3, 2011I am currently trying to determine if MSE is having a problem that Microsoft is not addressing.If you check the Event Viewer and show a SxS error or a Microsoft Anti-malware error, it might be caused by a problem with MseSysPrep.DLL.It seems running the Scheduled Task related to Application Experience will show a problem with MSESysPrep.dll. Many folks are showing the error and I am having a problem with the MSE real time protection shutting down because of "updates".I do not feel shutting down the real time protection for MSE updates is appropriate, so I will be watching to see if Microsoft addresses the problem.
