How do I get the picture to maximize automatically when I click on a desktop icon with Internet Express as the default browser. With Google Chrome as the default browser, it works fine.

Is there a way to prevent a reduced window from maximizing when it it dragged to the top of the screen? It seems I have run across how to do this somewhere but darned if I can find it again.

So i can LEFT(<-this is important)-click all the icons in my system tray and a nice menu of some kind pops up (as it should) how ever if i LEFT-click my network icon nothing happens (right-click functions still work), sadly i dont really know when this started happening so i cant backtrack it. this is a problem because now i cant select other wireless network.

I have set my Windows 7 installation so that ExpressIt is the default program to open these files. Double-clicking an .exp file should therefore open that CD label in the ExpressIt program.However, when I double-click an .exp file, the ExpressIt program does not open so that I can work with the file. If I run the ExpressIt program first, then 'Open' the file from within the program, it all works fine.(The problem with this 'workaround' is that when going to Open the file, its default directory is nowhere near the directories containing my .exp files and takes ages to browse to, so I don't want to do it like that).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a really annoying problem with desktop icons.I use 2 monitors. 1920x1200 is the main dislay and 1600x1200 is another one for extended desktop. The thing is that I don't need it all the time so I'd like to switch the extended desktop on and off when I need it. Problem is that entering the ex. desktop just somehow changes the grid (it seems that the grid becomes more compressed in vertical direction). That means that it always messes my icons up. I don't know why do the Windows change the grid when I do not change the resolution or just anything that could possibly affect the main screen.

Now, I do not have Movie Maker, don't even ask! But I have a newer version of Live Mail which I dislike -- that ribbon! Can I uninstall the Live software and reinstall the old Live Mail? Every time I start up the laptop the desktop is black, there is no icons, and there is no bar at the bottom of the screen, and also the Libraries Window show up at the start up.
This laptop also did not come with any CD so I don't have an option to reformat do I? I think it maybe a virus but I'm not sure and I don't know what to do about it, when I try to open Mozzila Firefox from that Libraries Window i get a msg saying:

i get exactly this Desktop-Folder-Window just randomly then and when. It pops up in the middle of the work. It puts itself over the active window. It does not seem to be related to any open software or any particular user action, its really just random...Sometimes it does not happen for a while, and then, however, it starts again. We talk about 1 new Window popping up in 5 minutes or so, sometimes more, sometimes less.
