I run a number of 32 bit applications on my Windows 7 box. (I have two of them. A 32 bit version and a 64 bit version). When I run MSInfo32 on my 64 bit Windows 7 box, it does not show any of the 32 bit models that are indeed loaded into memory. But they all show up on my 32 bit version of Windows 7. Is there a setting or something that I have to enable in order to "see" all of the loaded modules?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a computer from a friend (2nd hand). I ran msinfo32.exe in the run box and it shoot out the system information. On there I notice that the manufacture was incorrect and so it the model number. The desktop is a dell and the model is Inspiron 570 MT. I wanted to change it back to these vales but was unable to.I tried using regedit searching under to change data under the name Base Board Manufacturer, system family, system Manufacture and system product name. I've successfully replaced it with the correct manufacture and product name but as I recheck msinfo32.exe it was still unchanged. I tried restarting it hoping that it would refresh the msinfo32.exe but all it did was restoring all the data that I edited.

I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.

I recently installed 64-bit Windows 7 on my new computer I built a few days ago and I have no clue as to why it only shows my memory at 4GBs. My BIOS show the same thing, however CPU-Z says I have the appropriate 6GBs. The "Maximum Memory" option is unchecked in msconfig, by the way. Does anyone know what may be causing this issue?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Toshiba Satellite, A305 S6905 with a New Install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.Bios was updated to latest 2.20 version. I put two new, matched 2 GB ram modules in it. It does not show but 2 GB installed even in the Bios. I checked both modules by putting each one seperately in the primary ram slot and both were showing up as good. I even put the old 2 GB and 1 GB modules I had before under Vista and it still only shows 2 GB installed.It only shows 2 GB installed and 1.87 useable..It boots OK and seems to run fairly smoothly but I have not put it to the test under some memory hog programs yet.

Although nothing is set in shedule processes, the 4 cores of the CPU are often going mad, with 70-80% of the 3 GB memory being used... Is there a program which tells me what the bl..... machine is doing. Perhaps a permanant window on the bottom of the screen? It is so frustrating as it slows down internet explorer and generally seems to be more interested in its own thing than my requests.

I transferred all my files from my old computer to my new computer and now when I go to insert pictures into my website, the pictures are not showing up as thumbnails so I can view all at the same time. They just show that little icon.I have went through a lot of the threads in response to this problem and have tried them all without any success. I tried to log in through Other User but it's blocked with a Username and Password. I'm scared to loose all my stuff I have on there. I try to get on Safe mode to System Restore but the "Other User" still pops up and my account still isn't shown so I can't access my account(I'm using a different laptop to post this). I don't remember ever putting on a "Other User" account,. I don't want to loose any of my items I have on this PC. How can I remove this "Other User" and get my account back without loosing everything?

I work a lot with external HDD's plugged into one or all of my front USB ports and there doesnt seem to be any consistency to when it shows in the computer tree. Between this and autoplay not working it feels like Windows 7 has taken an enormous leap backwards.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just spent the last couple of hours stripping down my rig,for a clean but mainly to do something about the cable management.But since rebuilding it 2 problems have arisen.problem 1 On start up I'm getting the message boot manager is missing .I go through the steps CTL>ALT>DEL then DEL to enter bios and select the drive to boot from in advanced mode F7 (only one drive is there on the initial bios screen where the drag and drop option is)Problem 2 once I've logged in it is only showing 2 of my 3 hard drives.I'm using a z77 mobo 60g ssd boot,256g ssd and a 1tb mechanical.When I go into Computer management the 2 of the 3 drives are visible there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been fiddling around with codec packs and finally found 1 that is ideal for me (Codec Pack All in 1 1.6.3)Everything works perfectly except for mkv thumbnails which I found another way around it by installing Icaros 2.0 The only problem remaining is that .mp4 files are not able to display subtitles in WMP 12, they work perfectly well in VLC but for aesthetic reasons I prefer WMP.Is there anyway to make this work with some sort of registry tweak without having to install additional codec packs such as Shark 007 which even though it states to work without any mess, it ruins all my file types associations and subtitle display.SO to summarize I am looking for a registry hack that can force WMP 12 on Windows 7 x64 show subtitles?

All my other devices such as my phone and laptop dont see the router even though I have enabled wifi through the router control panel. I also have reset the router manually, updated to recent firmware. My ISP said it might be my computer so I disconnected the cable from the pc to the router and hardwI thought it was my router's problem so I exchanged it for the same model (Netgear N300) but the problem still exists. I went back to ask the computer store to test the router's wifi and they said that it worked fine...

I knew that my problem is stereo mix because when i open the ts and try to talk they hear waht my computer is doing (playing music .. etc...)
