View 2 RepliesJust got windows 7 the other day for my laptop and I'm loving it so far. Runs absolutely fab on my HP DV9000. However I'm having some issues with wireless driver compatibility for my gaming machine. I'm running 64 bit windows 7 and I'm having to manually install the 64 bit driver for the built in wireless card for my motherboard. I install the driver, it detects the device no problem, and I can even see wireless networks. However when I try to connect to my home network, after I put the WPA-PSK passphrase in, it automatically fails to connect right away. I am convinced this is a driver issue because it works flawlessly on my vista ultimate 64 bit install.
Has anyone else had a problem with this board/driver?
The internal wireless card is the Asus WiFi AP-Solo module (realtek 81somethingorother chip name, I'll grab it when I get home)
I had no problem finding my drivers on the ASUS website, except for the Wifi drivers.
I moved my computer to another room a couple of months ago, and the old room has since changed into something else.
Running an Ethernet cable along 50' isn't really an option.
If anyone can provide me with some help with the Win7 drivers for my Wifi on my motherboard, I'd be greatly appreciative.
I just installed Windows 7 64-bit onto my gaming computer, as seen in my system specs. My main concern is, I have an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, and I don't know if Windows updated the drivers for the chipset or the onboard audio.
I tried to download the chipset and audio drivers from Asus, using Vista 64-bit, but they would not install normally... When I tried to use the Asus Install, it would say I am not using the correct operating system. So, I went straight to the setup.exe file, and it "installed" the stuff, but nothing like how I have seen on either Vista or XP. I doubt the "install" did anything.
So what can I do? I'm thinking my chipset is what is causing my loss in FPS for my games... BTW, I am using build 7229.
NVIDIA RAID-drivers(vista)
I can not install the Nvidia raid drivers and it gives me trouble with a USB hard discs. Probably no one has the solution on that matter.
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"
The another thing is - when i look my "device manager" and go display adapters, it show Radeon drivers 1950 series(Microsoft WDDM). Do i have a ATI or Microsoft driver?
Earlier i install Ati ATI 9.1 driver for Vista 32b and i thing it is working ok - planning to install Ati 9.2 later.
Here are all my post by links.

Problems with window 7 installation!
Some hardware will work with Microsoft drivers, but my AMD X2 5000+ processor doesn't register on CPU-Z at anything approaching 3.0 gb. even after altering settings in setup which when i ran xp 64 immediately resulted in processor speed change. what's up?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my new Kingston 128GB SSDNow V200 (SV200S37A/128G) and Asus M2N32-Sli Deluxe motherboard. The CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ and I also have connected a Palit 9500GT graphics card via the primary PCI-E slot, PSU is Enermax 485W.I have the whole setup with a traditional hard drive working just fine in Windows XP Professional 32-Bit with SP3, what I am trying to do is switch over to using the new SSD with a fresh install of Win 7 Ult X64.The problem I am having is freezing/hanging when either on "Expanding WIndows Files" at 80% or usually on "Installing Features", either the cursor won't move or the dots next to "Installing Features" stop moving completely.. and I can just leave it for hours and nothing happens.
I have tried so far including combinations of each of these; Installing from DVD drive Installing from USB drive Installing from USB drive with slipstreamed SP1 Using PS/2 keyboard and mouse Installing with only one stick (2GB) of RAM, or two sticks (4GB) of RAM or four sticks (8GB) of RAM, or different pairs (4GB) of RAM Updated motherboard BIOS to latest beta version Swapped graphics card for another PCI-E card Swapped graphics card for a PCI card Installed on another PC.. worked fine on that PC (previous generation motherboard) then swapped to this machine but when Windows 7 has loaded it reboots the PC.. repair doesn't do anything just runs and runs finding nothing Installed Windows XP Professional 32-Bit with SP3 and all fine.. why won't Windows 7 install? Checked firmware of the SSD which is completely up to date Tried all 6/6 SATA ports Tried 4 different SATA cables Tried the SATA RAID port but no luck as driver won't install on Windows 7 installation due to it being "unsigned" I am very confused because surely if the SSD was incompatible with my motherboard then Windows XP Professional 32-Bit with SP3 wouldn't have installed and been working apparently flawlessly?
My computer fail to connect wireless after changing window. When I troubleshoot it tales wireless capability is switched off. I tray to click key fn F8 but no respond.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the linkys wireless g usb network adapter, its very popular, but doesn't get along well with linux or x64 os's.
Since the install of the RC ive been crashing, and it turned out to be the wireless adapters fault, so i thought back to when i had to get it working with linux, i was pretty sure their were x64 drivers. Ralink chipsets based wireless devices
SOME of the linksys wireless adapters have a "Ralink" chip in them, you can find 64 bit drivers for some of the adapters. I downloaded the one i needed (the first) and installed the software. I then went to update the drivers i had for the wireless adapter and was more than happy to find out that "Ralink Linksys Wireless 54g USB Network Adapter" right under the current 32 bit driver. after you install the software go to
Start > Contro Panel > Hardware And Sound > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Double click your current wireless device, > Driver Tab > Update Driver Software > Browse My Computer > Let Me Pick, > Select The RaLink Driver And their ya go!

View 5 Replies View RelatedOkay so i have an older Wireless PCI Card from like 5 years ago, I didnt have an antenna for it so i didnt use it, I recently came across the antenna and put the card in my PC, The "Ethernet Controller" says it doesnt have the drivers, and windows wont find it on its own. So i have gone to the website and downloaded the driver and software, it all tells me there are several missing .dll files.
So i downloaded them virus scanned them etc. and still no progress on getting the card installed. I dont know where the CD for it is and i doubt the CD would even work for windows 7. Can anyone help me out with this prob? Its a Wireless-B PCI Adapter 2.4GHz Model No. BB720C808230
I was searching for some updates for my intel WiFi link 1000BGN on this site : Intel Driver Update Utility.i saw that there was a driver 14.3.1.1.so i updated it.I download it and executed it, there was a little sign of the wireless. Then the wireless card restarted itself. However, when i go to the driver details after the installation, the driver is still the old one.
