Lexmark X5470 Vista 64-bit Drivers Usable On Win 7 ?
Nov 5, 2009
I have a lexmark x5470 and noticed they have only win vista drivers. What i want to know is if i can use the vista 64-bit drivers for my printer or if i must wait for win 7 specific drivers?Right now my lexmark x5470 is sitting useless until i know if the vista drivers for my printer will work or if i need to wait for win 7 drivers or get a new printer.I use win 7 home premium 64-bit.
I recently installed Windows 7 7000/7022/7048, and also installed the 64bit drivers for my Lexmark X5150. The problem is i can't print sometimes, it comes in the printing dialog or It prints but when i send a second set it keeps saying deleting the first set. Or it does not print until I restart print spooler, and it starts printing the one that was "deleting". Its seems like Lexmark never learns.. I had this problem too in Vista.
Lexmark x4550 drivers, All it says is my drivers are not up to date. I download from Lexmark site any driver I can find for this printer but it still will not load.
I want to say my problen I want to say that happy new year to everyone and best wishes to you and your friends,family.first.like I said.after a restart.my laptop have something wrong.it says:A problem has benn detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these step:Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message. disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

Some months ago I bought a Lexmark 4800 series printer (scanner, fax) that I'm using with a Windows XP laptop, connected via wifi to my home router.
Now I'm trying to do the same with another laptop, this one with Windows 7, but I haven't been able to do it till now. I've even tried with an USB cord, with no success.
I have a Windows 7 company computer which has disabled function for download of driver from Microsoft and said I need to either use my original CD that came with the printer (All in one printer) or google the download, but I'm not sure if I should download the software for the printer or just the driver.
This problem is 2 years old and no-where have I found a solution. I am pretty good with pcs and in fact I had another one with Vista which I upgraded to Win 7 and the drivers worked instantly! Yet on this Hewitt Packard with the 64 bit Win 7 it has refused for 2 years to recognise the same drivers. I have un-installed dozen times and re-installed. And yes I have the 64bit drivers in the correct file ie cjq3500-4500Win7en.exe but every install says drivers not found. Wireless connection also won't work, and trying to update drivers is impossible as it's greyed out by windows and not selectable. Under general tab, it even says Manufacturer unknown! I believe this is a problem with 64bit Win 7, where as 32 bit installed (on the other pc) with no trouble. It could be time to throw something away, but there's nothing wrong with the printer
I have tried to download and install this driver on several different computers. None of them work with the printer. I am not sure where to find a driver that works. I have a win 7 64bit.
I've just updated my Acer Notebook to Windows 7. I've installed all the drivers that Acer supplies for Windows 7.
But what about the drivers that are not supplied? Should I install the ones that Acer supplies for Vista or stick with the 'pre-installed' drivers by Windows 7 ... Everything seems to work with the pre-installed ones.
And how do I check wether or not the Intel Turbo Memory is working correctly?
In general, can Vista drivers be used in Windows 7? I notice some of my equipment has drivers for Vista, but not W7. Is this because the manufacturer simply has not got around to producing W7 drivers?ermissions - Is there a way to take ownership of the entire hard drive? It seems like every time I turn around I have another folder that will not allow me to interact without changing the permissions.
I have a Setup CD for Vista, and if i put it to compatibility mode it installs all the drivers. But how can i know if the Drivers are working correctly?
And, my PC has low framerate in Flash Games ( When intense ), but that isn't normal is it? The flash player version is 10.
I currently have a HP Pavilion dv6799ep running Windows Vista Premium 32-bit, but I got a new license for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and I would like to know if the Windows Vista 64-bit drivers will work on this version.
Do windows 7 support windows vista drivers? im asking this because i've got geforce fx 5200 and there is no windows 7 drivers for it. I found on google, that windows 7 supports vista's drivers fine.
I used to have Vista 32-bit on here and I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. The problem is that the Sony website doesn't release Windows 7 64-bit drivers for my model as it is only sold with Vista 32-bit.
it says that Windows 7 is not supported. (I have ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and my computer seemed to check out and pass all the system requirements.)
Can anyone help me out with finding where all necessary driver updates for my computer are, as many things I've noticed either don't function the same or at all as they used to when I had Vista?
Here's a list of all the problems that I've noticed so far.
- Scroll on touch pad didn't work (Resolved by downloading Synaptics drivers, although the official drivers would be nice.)
- Plugging into the headphone jack didn't do anything (Resolved by downloading Realtek drivers)
- Volume buttons change the volume in very tiny increments and doesn't show the levels on screen (Major issue for me.) - Doesn't support Dual/Multi Monitors - Doesn't recognize MIDI Controllers (Resolved. Not sure how.) - Card reader doesn't work. (Another major problem.) - Webcam doesn't work. (Built-in mic seems to work fine.) - "AV Mode" button does nothing (I've never had a use for this button but before it would make the whole screen go black.) - Function commands on keyboard don't work (ie. Fn + F5/F6 for brightness up/down)
I'm really worried that the drivers that would resolve these issues don't exist!
Vista 32-bit Host connected direct to an HP printer - works fine. Win7 64-bit laptop connected direct to same HP printer - works fine. Win7 64-bit laptop printing via Vista 32-bit host - no go.
I've tried installing the 64-bit driver on the 32-bit Vista machine. I've also tried installing the 32-bit driver on the Win7 laptop. In both cases, Windows and the HP website give me the runaround and insure me that all necessary drivers will auto-install via Plug-n-Pray. But this is not the case. Unable to find driver downloads easily.
