View 3 Replies View RelatedMy cursor wont stay as selected in windows mouse pointer configuration settings. It reverts to a gray box with a black border, blue up-down arrow in the upper right corner, and a portion of a finger in the lower right corner. I can't find a cursor file that is associated with this stubborn cursor, and I need to find out what the file is that is associated with this so I can DELETE it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen having some problems with excel getting it to behave like Iwanted, tried google around but so clueless as to what to call things that it makes it hard. What I want is for a cell formula to do as I want when I pull on the lower-right corner down.Normally it the adds 1 to every cell address, but I need some of them to remain the same while others change. More exact:I'm trying to make excelsheet where one collum is supposed to have the formula:
=F3*Dx/D3
x goes from 3 to eternity, while F3 and D3 should remain static while doing that drag thing. I remember there was a way to mark F3 and D3 so they don't change, but can't remember how.So F4 has F3*D4/D3, F5 has F3*D5/D3 and so fourth.
I recently formatted, and since, my pc refuses to remain in Sleep/Hibernation mode. When I select the option in the start menu, my pc does its thing, once it enters sleep/hibernation, it instantly powers back up. I have changed nothing to my pc's hardware since the format, and this issue never occurred before hand.
Some of the things I have tried are making sure the power management setting were correct. I also hard reset my motherboards cmos to manufacturer settings.
The above seemed to make no difference.
I've had IE9 on this Win7 (64-Bit) computer for a few months now and today when I opened IE9 and tried to go to a few sites, it would remain on the "Downloading" or "Waiting.." in the lower left. After about 5 minutes of so, the page would load. Clicking on the "Back" or "X" wouldn't work. I had to Del/Ctrl/Alt to get out of these pages that were not loading (quickly).
I uninstalled IE9 and IE8 seems to be behaving the same way - very slow loading of sites, AOL, etc. I ran full MSE scan and nothing shows. I installed IE9 again and still same "slowness" getting into all sites! Did the "disable add-ons" thing and that didn't work, either. FF runs fine, so I presume it is something in IE9 (and IE8) that is causing this "slowness, slugishness, etc." for pages ot load/show." I tried IE9 64-bit and same problem! If I wait and wait (maybe several minutes) the page will finally show.
Ive been working on the administrator account for more than 2 years, left it as it was yesterday. When I came back my account was assigned with guest authorization instead of administrator's. While I was working on my administrator account I disabled Super Administrator account and therefore now I am unable to log into it. My little brother account is just another guest account. So as far as I know there are two guests accounts somehow, 0 administrator accounts, and 1 super administrator account which is disabled. How can I restore my account to its previous settings?

Seems a little bit quicker. My question is this: ReabyBoost is addressing 4 GB of the 16gb. I think this is all it is supposed to do. Can I used the remain 12 gb for storage or as a working area for products without compromising Ready boost?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI've only noticed this on Windows 7, I have NO idea what's going on.
I know sometimes when your computer is badly frozen that the keyboard won't respond and the lights won't even respond when you press numlock and capslock.
Well my keyboard works just fine (I'm typing from it now) but the LIGHTS do not! The numlock light is on, the capslock and scroll lock lights are off. They won't change no matter what I do. Same with numlock. The lights stays on even when it's off.
If I press capslock I still get capslock SEE. But the lights won't change. O.o
Obviously it's not a major issue that's inhibiting my experience but it is a little confusing because I can't tell what locks are on or off.
just noticed my cd drive light flashing on/off constantly during playback and the HD light is flashing in exactly the same rythym. totally wierd, never noticed anything like that before! is that unusual or just...something new? using windows 7.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI remember seeing in a thread a long time ago on here that there was a way to get network activity lights in the system tray using a 3rd party application.
Does anyone know of one that works in Windows 7 and doesn't have much of an overhead? I have found some that add a new icon to the system tray, but it would be better if it could replace the existing network connection icon if possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedStarting about a week ago, my lenova v570 laptop started acting weird.
When i shut down the computer the screen turns off, but the lights and fans are still running, i have left it for several minutes and nothing happens. i end up holding the power button for about 10 seconds to turn it off. And when i do turn the computer back on a notepad opens up named "debug" containing a very long message starting with "[1204/172346:ERROR:backend_impl.cc(2086)] Corrupt Index file[1204/172346:ERROR:cache_util_win.cc(43)]"
This has been happening for the past several days now and i have come to worry a lot about the situation. I am not much of a computer..
All three lights turned ON as soon as i connect my HP Laser jet 1300 printer to my Laptop with OS Windows 7 and does not print anything. It is working well with Windows XP.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a problem with my laptop - it won't sleep. Specifically, when I try and make it sleep, the screen turns off and I cannot interact with it at all - but the computer just keeps going. All the activity lights stay on, and while I can't see or do anything, the computer stays on and will not sleep, leaving me with no choice but to manually force shutdown. Sometimes if I leave it like this for a while, it will simply crash and shut down incorrectly. I have gone into the power-plan settings and checked my advanced settings, but that hasn't worked. It's just come on in the last few days, but I haven't installed anything new in that time. I'm going to try a system restore now, but I don't hold much hope for it.
(I'm using a Samsung R530, 32-bit Windows 7, Intel Pentium.)
When ever I try to restart my computer it shuts off and then the power lights turn to orange and then the computer beeps twice and then waits for a few seconds and then beeps again. I have to hit the power button and then hit it again to get it to turn on and it works fine

I turned it off immediately. When I turned it on after 3 hours, It went to start up repair then it displayed a Fatal Error BSOD. Then it proceeded to switch to flashing multi-colored lights which resulted in burning smell from the computer.
