Windows Startup repair occasionally pops up on startup though it can never find what the problem was. Interestingly its occurence dimininished rapidly when I replaced MSE with Avast.Anyway - loaded up as normal and then got a pop up concerning Itunes. The pop up said "Itunes not installed correctly. Please Re-install. Error 7 (Win error 193).The screen then flashed up with lines down it (very quickly) then onto a blue screen with various data. Windows then reloaded and everything was fine. The latter part has happened once or twice before a while ago. I had Windows reinstalled less than a year ago. I have replaced my grpahics card in the summer.I'm just concerned that one day the pc won't work. I'm unemployed as use the PC daily to search and apply for jobs...so it would be sod's law if this went down.

After I removed an iPod from my laptop I never had installed before I got the BSOD after I restarted the computer. The message stated "Windows failed to start a recent hardware or software change may be the cause". I have tried startup repair from the OEM disc and have had no luck after 5 or more tries. I can boot into safe mode fine and connect to the internet. It will not start normally. The two options you get are start normally or launch startup repair and both of these fail when attempting. It always shows the error code 0x0000007e but some of the code in the parathensis change each time I boot the computer.
I downloaded the new iTunes 10.7 a few weeks ago and since then my computer has been crashing multiple times per day at what seems to be random times during the day often when I am using Firefox. I have tried re-installing iTunes and going back to old versions as well as restoring my computer to previous restore points but no luck. During this time I was also without any antivirus software but I almost positive that I don't have a virus and I am now back to using Trend Micro. At the blue screen i get DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message and NETw5s64.sys although I'm not sure if this is relevant.I am currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I have tried updating some of my drivers because this was a proposed solution on the iTunes discussion board to a similar problem I was experiencing.
I have had a BSOD lately that I cannot seem to figure out. It mostly happens when I play MP3 files using iTunes. They are stored on my network drive, and my other computers do not have this problem. Here is my system information.
BSOD and subsequent boot failure. Windows Startup Repair can't fix the computer automatically and I'm at a loss. The problem occurred after I updated to the latest version of Itunes a few days ago. Right now, I can't even boot into safe mode, so I don't know how to run the utilities.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit and have tried several times to install iTunes 10.5, both over iTunes 10.4 and separately. Everytime I get the error message - "a network error occurred while attempting to read from the file:C:|windowsinstallerapplesoftwareupdate.msi".
I went to install the newest itunes last night, and during the instalation I got the message "error getting file security". I right clicked the installation file and ran as administrator, and have my UAC all the way down.
I'm trying to downgrade from iTunes 10.5 to a version that doesn't crash (see my previous thread). However, whenever I do this, I cannot import my Library file (.itl) because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
I have two hard disks-500GB and 80GB,so installed win 7 on 500GB HDD and 80GB was kept as slave. And i locked a drive present in 80GB using Bitlocker.Since week when i use win 7 ,after 20 min the display screen turned to black screen. So installed XP on 80GB drive. Now when i try to open the drive which i locked using Bitlocker is asking for format, that drive has important information. How can i retrieve the data from that drive?
I have a problem with my iPod touch. It is a new iPod touch and i had no problem with it for a long time then one day it just started to not work. every time i plug it in it comes up with a error message saying .It wont charge or connect to iTunes so i cannot sync any music.
I use iTunes on my Windows 7 computer to sync with my iPhone, and the last time I went to open iTunes it gave me the error message "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes."I had heard that if I uninstalled Quicktime (which is bundled with iTunes when that is downloaded), then reinstalled it separately, it would work again, but after trying that it didn't. So I decided to just uninstall iTunes, then reinstall it. However, every time I try to uninstall it in Add/Remove Programs, it just sits there saying it'll be about eight more seconds to go to finish deleting, but it just sits, and sits, and sits...... Nothing. I also tried to just install the newest iTunes on top of the existing one, but every time I try it tells me that it's already installed and to click "Ok." So I can't uninstall it, nor can I install it, nor will iTunes open on its own. I had done a system restore recently, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

I believe this has something to do with the windows update I installed previously. I am not 100% sure I did install it before the errors started happening, but I am pretty sure. I have full administrative permissions. I was able to install a ".NET" frame work, however, it did not fix my problem.
This started happening last night while i was playing Borderlands 2, it has happened at idle, playing just about any game in my library, during downloads and just browsing the web. I changed all of my accessible drivers, and it continued to happen, so i moved all of my personal files onto my external HDD. I re installed windows on my SSD (did not reformat) and reformatted my HDD. I re installed my drivers, re-enabled SLI and it ran fine for about an hour, just downloading WoW, and then happened again twice.
Just installed windows 7 about a month or so ago, running great, only every now and then if my system is idle and I wiggle the mouse to make it come back on , it just reboots automatically[CODE]
I get the BSOD when I'm playing games, and it says "driver power state failure". When i first saw this, i tried updating my drivers, and it did fix the problem for a while but then afterwords it occurs again. I do not know which specific driver is causing theI am using a Alien ware M17x-R3 Laptop, Pre-installed Windows 7 x64, Intel Core i7-2720QM 2.2 ghz processor, 8 GB ram installed
I get BSOD a lot. Usually I solve it by restoring to last state in safe mode. But this time I made the minidump file and wondering.I've tried updating my drivers(specially display adapters) at device manager but windows says they are up to date.
Well my computer blue screened again. I've attached the dump reports. I don't know why it's still doing this; is it really still my wireless USB adapter? If it still is then I'll invest in a PCI wireless adapter instead.I forgot to copy and paste the error report when Windows started. Here's my specs:i5-2500K Sandy Bridge stock @ 3.3GHz16GB (4GBx4) DDR3 1600MHz Corsair VengeanceNVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 HD 2.5GB [EDIT: the card is an EVGA branded card]GigaByte GA-Z68MA850W Corsair CMPSU-850TXV22TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 the original installed OS on the systemFull Retail All hardware is only a year old minus the hard drive which is 3 years oldOS was reinstalled a month ago due to random blue screens flashing up during Windows start up.I was having some BSOD earlier and found out it was the Nvidia Updater that was causing the problem. I do the perfmon /report and nothing shows up in the report. I keep getting the errors but can not put my finger on it.
I have been getting a new BSOD error message, it was happened every 15 minutes or so while trying to play BF3 last night.I also ran a Memtest overnight, 8 passes and 0 errors.-x64-OEM-Asus mobo, i5, PSU, 8GB Ram, are all 3 months old when I did a fresh Windows 7 install.
A while ago I had some bluescreens with the error-code F4 which I could fix by updating the SSD firmware (from 1.3.0 to 1.3.3). But since then, I sometimes have a bluescreen with the errorcode 101. The bluescreens only appear while I'm playing Battlefield 3 or sometimes when I currently play nothing; in other situations my pc just freezes and I have to use the power button. With Google I found out, that this bluescreen is caused by an error with the processor, so I ran Prime95 and watched the temperatures with SpeedFan. The temperature of the second core was 98C so I started logging the temperature. After another bluescreen I looked in the logfile but the temperature was only around 40C. So it seems that nothing overheats (which is also proved by the fact that the bluescreens appears while nothing runs that stresses the hardware alot).
