I have bought an older notebook - HP Compaq nx6110 with PCMCIA WiFi card and want to replace it with Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG card. I have installed Windows 7 on it and put the Intel card into miniPCI slot, the problem is no driver works for me. I would be happy, if you could help me, really do not know, what to do with that.

I'm running build 7100 and everything pretty much works. I did have to get the audio driver from Lenovo's site.
I have three yellow triangles still. One for network controller, video, and unknown.
Any suggestions?

Intel has discontinued support for the Intel ProSet/Wireless 2200BG Network Adapter. There might be some generic drivers capable of Windows 7 out there, but I can't find them on the Intel site.

Update: These drivers worked and this old lappy is now on-line!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 XPS laptop. Connects to the wireless network just fine. However, when I suspend or put the laptop into hibernation it never reconnects. I take the lpatop out of hibernation and it shows a red x through the network icon. I have to try and manually reconnect, and then I just get the spinning blue thing over the network connections without it ever reconnecting. I restart .no problem. I have a bunch of otehr PC's and devices on my home network. I have tried 2 different routers, same problem. None of the other laptops on the network have this problem. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely?

Dont use Intel ethernet drivers if your adapter is working, Intel has still outdated 8.3.1.5 drivers on their page, stick with Windows 7 drivers for now 8.4.1.0.

I have a standard vga graphics driver and it won't let me play a lot of games like WoW and etc. I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Family Chipset I have tried to download the correct driver I need but all it does is load for like 10 minutes then it says Unknown error has occurred then it closes.
When I download the driver off the website it says it supports my chipset but when I look at the read me file that tells you what kind of chipset you need to install the driver mine isn't supported.

I own a Acer 8943g Notebook running Windows 7 x64/4gb RAM/Core i5 430M processor. My drivers all seem to be up to date. The services are running and I'm just at a loss.I'm an above average user so I'm not lost when it comes to troubleshooting, but this problem seems to have a lot of different solutions and I can't seem to pin one down, so hopefully I've come to the right place.
