I dont remember where I clicked, in my pc it doesn't look like this, or other folders is only the images one i believed i clicked somewhere and it got like this because I remember it wasn't like this before. I searched folder options and so on but I did not find the solution, normally it should look like this:

Nov 16, 2011i had my desktop,task bar and star bottom but the problem is...the images of my desktop icons are missing same on the task bar.. all i can see are the tittles or names of my programs on my desktop but still i can access on it... another thing is my start bottom is lock/ not functioning only the right click is working but left click nothing happen.. its too bad for me bcoz even to Internet i can't access....

What Criteria Or Method Is Used To Cycle The Images In Desktop Slideshow
Oct 27, 2012I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.I use the desktop slideshow feature, directed to a folder in my pictures folder that I named desktop slideshow, I have about 1000 images in there, it's set to change image once every 30 seconds.Here is the problem, I tend to see the same 20 images or so go by over and over, and only once or twice in each loop does a new image show up, eventually I see a great number, but it tends to favor those same 20 or so images predominantly.They don't have similar names, they are widely differing in size, dimensions, and every other aspect. But for some reason the slideshow tends to pick them to go by more than anything else. I removed the images, and it chooses another 20 or 30 seemingly at random to give priority over the rest, only slipping in a random one between those repeated choices once or twice in each loop again.
So here is my question, does anyone know what criteria or method is used to cycle the images in the desktop slideshow? The whole reason I started using it was because I like the idea of seeing any one of a thousand or more pictures on my screen when I close a window, and it's kind of nice to have something I'm working on in my main screen while random art goes by on my second monitor, but with the same images repeated, it sort of loses the appeal.So far my only option has been to remove the over used images after a while and cycle in some of the old ones I removed before. But that's not really all that satisfying a solution.I searched around google, talked to some friends, and generally applied my brain to the issue for a few months without any breakthrough, and decided to seek some info from this forum since it seems to be fairly chocked full of people who have considerable knowledge of the concerned operating system, big surprise considering that is the point of the forum eh?
Desktop Background Images Cannot Be Changed From Solid Colors
Jan 16, 2013Whenever I try to change my desktop background image to "Desktop Harmony", the default Windows 7 background, no error message comes up but it stays the solid color. But when I change solid color to solid color, the result is different. The background changes.
BTW, I recently reinstalled Windows, I think I fixed my driver problem because I restored Windows.old, but I can't seem to get rid of all the errors such as this one.
edit: I tried to delete TranscodedWallpaper.jpg from %USERPROFILE%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsThemes
but, Windows keeps making the jpg file AGAIN and AGAIN...

Files Saved To Desktop Not Showing Up?
Jun 14, 2011While I work on worksheets, I often save the files to the desktop for easy attachment to emails when I have completed my work. On two occasions now I have been saving the files to the desktop as I usually do but when I go to the desktop the files are not there.If I look in the desktop folder, they are there. Running 64 bt Windows 7 Professional and scan for Malware yielded no issues.
p.s. When I reboot the files do appear on the desktop ....
Deleted Recycle Bin Files Showing Up On Desktop?
Sep 1, 2010I did a search on this and could not find anything. Once in awhile my desktop will have a bunch of random files I deleted a long time ago. I always empty it too. There won't be anything in the recycle bin or on the desktop and then I'll go to look at it after awhile and some other group of files will be there. I have tried the whole "rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin" on every drive on my computer. Windows is installed on C:. It isn't even the same group of files each time, it is just random files I've deleted over the past 2 months. I noticed a folder for a demo install of InDesign comes up a lot and says it is in use when I try to re-delete it, could Adobe's crap software be breaking it?
Windows 7 64 Ultimate, 12 gigs of ram, I7 processor. Hard drives are at most half full.

Dec 12, 2011In the last few days my Toshiba Satellite L745-S43210 hasn't been working right. Recently it won't boot up properly. It started to boot up and then it would freeze up seconds after showing my desktop. I managed to go into safe mode and use msconfig to change start up programs and turn it to only the essential items. After that it worked and I tried turning everything back on and it worked fine last night. I assumed it was just overheating from being used so much in the last few days. Now today when I tried starting it up I was able to enter my password but the screen went black with my mouse pointer working. I turned it off and tried again a few times before going into safe mode.
I went back into msconfig again and turned it back to only essential programs and I performed a virus scan with Super Anti-Spyware and Malware Bytes and the only thing that they found were cookies. I cleared them out and booted up windows again and it worked fine. Now I am trying to select only certain programs and choose only the Microsoft, Intel and Toshiba programs/services and now when I boot it up I don't even get the the text box to enter my password, it just shows the blue windows start up screen. Right now I am using Safe Mode With Networking to type this and try messing with start up programs again.

Aug 6, 2012I have been trying to make my USB drive bootable with this ISO with several programs for quite awhilenow. method that i can use to make this NON iso image bootable? Or atleast figure out what kinda of boot file its using (such as linux, windows, etc) so i can configure the best program i've found so far? Its called YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator. It has the ability to be able to boot several types of ISO images ranging from Linux Ubuntu, Windows, Hirens Boot CD, to HP Automatic Firmware update, even Acronis! and more.plus its free! how to figure out which type of boot to choose by browsing contents after mounting the image and then configure this program with the proper settings. I did find something that said Windows, but its a folder. Not only that but as I've said I've tried several different USB to DVD tools, all of them windows and none of them worked.

Can't View Certain Images On Some Websites
Nov 2, 2012It got to the point where I restored my computer to factory settings. Everything worked until I used Windows Update. However, I just uninstalled them and tried and I couldn't view them this time so now I'm not sure if it really is because of Windows Update. I have yet to install an anti-virus as it was literally just yesterday I did this, so I know it's not an issue with an anti-virus. I cannot view any product images from the sites katespade.com, luckybrand.com, and claires.com. (was trying to do a little Christmas shopping, ha!) I noticed all of them have a zoom + and - feature.

Tinypic Images Not Getting Load
Aug 22, 2010So, I've been using Tinypic for a while with no problems, but recently I haven't been able to see images uploaded to it nor even access the website itself. Strangely, I'm able to see direct links to pictures, but once again, not the pictures if used like <img src="tinypic link">. Anyone have any ideas what's going on? I can go on Tinypic on every other computer in my house, but not on this one.

Jul 10, 2012I am having a strange problem loading certain websites from my new computer. I'm sure there is a relatively straight forward solution to my problem, but I am too ignorant to solve it myself. I have done plenty of google searching, but so far have not uncovered any solutions. My PC specs are in my profile.Very often when I search for an item on Ebay, or load a certain (legal) movie streaming website, the websites take a long time to load, and the thumbnail images do not load properly. i.e sometimes a few load, while the rest do not (e.g. just say "Item Image"). This problem occurs with both IE and Firefox. It is not the "Load Images Automatically" option in Firefox, as that has always been selected.
My computer has both a Wireless and LAN connection to my router. Usually only one of the connections is enabled. I have found a work-around that fixes the problem for a short while. If I try load the certain movie streaming website, and I am having problems, I disable the network connection (e.g LAN) and enable the other one (e.g. wireless). The website often loads then. If not, I re-enable it the way it was, and it usually works then. I can then access the site properly, although all the images still do not load - usually about 3/4 do. I am using a VPN to access the movie streaming site. However, I also access this site from two laptops in the house, both through the VPN, and they have no trouble at all loading the website correctly.
