But many users most of the time use to travel out of station and need to change the IP that time. I tried adding domain user ID's in "network configuration operator" group but still not able to change IP from domain user without giving admin right. can any body tell me any other processes to change IP from domain user not having admin rights in windows 7 ?

My boot drive is a Crucial M4 SSD. I also have a new WD Caviar Black HD that I haven't connected to the build yet.I'm not good with software or file management and I could also use some info about how to get all my data and jpegs etc. off of my older WD HD from my old build. I need lessons. I should take a course someplace.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI moved from dsl to cable and of course changed routers. I have three computers on a network and and an HP officejet J4680 which had a ip of 192.168.1.68 on the old network and everything worked well. On the new network the printer ip has changed to 192.168.1.2 and the computers can print to the printer ok however I cannot scan a document. The paperport software seems to be looking for 192.168.1.68 and I cannot find a way to get paperport to look to 198.168.1.2. The exact same problem exists with irfranview.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys WRT54G v2 & latest OEM firmware. A few days ago I tried to release & renew my IP address to get a new one. It did not change, and just thought the Comcast modem was remembering the IP and just went about my normal web surfing. Today, nothing would connect to the internet. My WRT54Gs status was fine & had the same IP it had a few days ago.
I tried to release & renew the IP again, nothing changed. I called Comcast tech, and the automated thing reset the modem, still no internet, still same IP address. I released the IP & unplugged the router for about 5 mins, renewed & got the same IP again. I released again, and reset to factory defaults, same IP again. I tried connecting directly to the modem and see if I works, and it did!
I had another D-Link DI-624 Rev C v2.70 .. released the IP, and hooked it up .. everything works fine. So for S&Gs I released and hooked up the WRT54G to see if the IP changed at all, nope same IP! I would like to use the Linksys again, as the D-Link sometimes got funky under heavy load.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI read Event Viewer stating: ERROR
"Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x00025B66A83D. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address"
I do not understand it, i have set my network to static IP, not receive from DHCP server from my router. I have confirmed that by "ipconfig /all"
I have "ping localhost" with no 4 replies and have "ping 192.168.0.11" which is my computer. I did not received all 4 replies either.
I have ping to my router (DHCP Server) and it works OK.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using my computer to connect my xbox 360 to the internet all has been well until now. Just recently I started having some connection issues. So trying to resolve I removed my wifi adapter drivers and reinstalled them, I ran the troubleshoot part of windows network on the adapter and lan connections. Somehow a new wifi connection appeared in my network and sharing center (mini port wifi) and now when I try to enable ICS it tells me that the ip address for automatic ip addressing is already assigned in a error message.
And it will not allow me to share my internet connection. I have tried to bridge the connection to the local area connection and the computer acts as if it did it correctly but when I try to connect my xbox it will not work and on the xbox dashboard it does not show my connection being good to the network. I have even already replaced all wiring involved with this setup thinking it may be a bad ethernet cable to no resolve. This setup worked for months so I see no reason why it would not work now.
When I go to the Network folder, all of the computer names on the network are listed. But the IP Address column is blank. How do I get it to display the IP Address for each computer listed? Also, can I get it to display the Computer Description as well?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was banned by my computer's ip address from a particular website and I wanted to get around that by changing my computer's ip address. My question is will this mess up my internet connection or do anything else unforseen to my computer?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy internet connection shows 'no internet access' even though my ISP shows the connection is coming into the house just fine. I usually use a router (NetGear-WNR3500U) but I right now I have the Ethernet connection plugged directly into my PC. I tried directly plugging into my laptop and the internet works just fine. So I know the problem resides in the PC.
Some troubleshooting things I have tried.
-Power cycled my modem, router and PC.
-Repinged my connection from my ISP(Comcast Xfinity)
-Used the reset option on the router and the modem
-I was walked through the internet options needed with the tech support from my ISP to make sure DHCP was enabled and every other setting was correct, and he cleared me that all settings were correct.
-Tried ipconfig commands to /renew and /release my IP When I tried ipconfig /renew I get the error 'An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server'
-Restored my PC to a restore point where the Internet was working
All of these options did not work.
What I think the problem is and I am not sure how to fix it, when I run the ipconfig /all command my Auto configuration IPv4 Address shows 169.254.112.76 which I was told is a router IP address even though I am plugged directly from the modem to my PC with an Ethernet cord. So I think that's my problem? But I am not sure.
