Right Click Menu Flickers - How To Correct It
Aug 15, 2012Wasn't sure how to classify what's happening but I recently installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It ran alright for a few days but over the last 2 days, I've been getting a flickering type problem. Now whatever is causing this is also affecting my ability to click or tab items or right click an item. Ex: If I have task manager open and want to close it; I right click it in the task bar to click close but the minute I move to click close the menu disappears.

Jul 20, 2012I have a recent installation of Windows 7 Professional 3 weeks ago.The past 2 days, Word 2007 will not open when i double click a .docx document from Explorer.For a couple of seconds a 'spinning wheel' is displayed...and then nothing.I went to Control Panel, Defaults, and checked the Application for .docx and it is Word.The strange thing is that sometimes it does work.I am clicking very fast And Windows 7 does display the spinning wheel for a second or two.

The program was installed successfully but office files didn't show their respective icons. For the first time for every office file (e.g Word or Excel document) I have to chose the program to run the file. Now though on clicking any office file they opened in the respective office program but still their icons are like office is not installed.

This morning I opened a Word 2010 document and after quite a while of some sort of an installation, I was able to open the Word 2010 document. I did not think too much of it, except that later I was sending an e-mail and attached a Word 2003 document and when I went to check it (i.e. open it up) it opened in Word 2010. How do I disable Word 2010 as my default program to open Word documents. I do not want to uninstall the program, but at this point I am not ready to learn how to use Word 2010.

There was a nasty virus on it that I managed to get rid of, but now programs won't run unless I first right click and click "Run as Administrator". Shortcuts also won't work (I assume for the same reason.) Does anyone know of a fix for this so we don't have to constantly click "Run as Administrator"? By the way, there is only one user on the computer and it is an administrator.

HDD Not Showing Correct Size
Nov 12, 2012I have 3 hitachi drives that came out of a IBM storage array, they are being re-purposed for another project. Only problem is when I hook them up to my windows 7 machine via sata connectors they are only displaying 372gb of usable space, these drives are 750gb. In disk management the drives only display the 372gb volume. How can I reset the partition size on these drives?

However, for some reason, I cannot get Windows 7 to see the new boot file.I constructed the original boot system with EasyBCD. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. When I started up the software to make the dual-boot system, it said it couldn't find my boot files. So, I constructed the dual-boot system, and I wrote it on the drive. However, when I start up the computer, I still see the old triple boot menu. I tried clearing it with the Windows 7 restore disk, but it doesn't see Windows 7 on the hard drive.

Oct 27, 2009My Windows 7 64 bit gives me "not responding" every few minutes. It is not a hardware problem because this VelociRaptor had on XP Pro for years and the Vertex is still running XP.seriously suspect it is a memory problem because early in the morning it will go for about 30 minutes before the first crash and then it gets progressively worse until every 20 or 30 seconds it gives "not responding" which always corrects itself (after the screen goes pale) and then you hear a lot of hard drive activity.There are no processes using excessive CPU or memory when this happens. This is a downloaded version and I built the ISO and upgraded XP. I have tried another upgrade DVD but that crashes during install.
