How To Change Taskbar Transparency

I'm using clearscreen's theme file but not the explorer.exe that came with it, instead i'm using glow air final's explorer.exe, because it gives better looking start button. Everything would be ok if the taskbar would be more transparent. Even thought the transparency is set to max in the window color settings, the taskbar is not that transparent. I think it's because of the theme file. My question is - how to edit the theme file so the taskbar is more transparent?

I can't change the width of my taskbar. I have unlocked it and tried to resize it, it would only allow me to adjust the height. I have highlighted the problem in the attachment. I don't know if Firefox is causing it, but just in case, I have Firefox 3.6.21.

So I found a cool theme and icons to go with it. I understand how to change icons and such but I am having trouble with some. (the official Microsoft icons)
Here's my situation.
So I found in the tutorials how to change the icons. I was able to change the libraries icon assuming that when had it on the taskbar, it would change the icon as well.
I was able to change the libraries icon to what I want. I created a library shortcut. then when i pinned it to the taskbar, it changed back to the default, but only on the taskbar
Also, when i try to change the wmplayer.exe and explorer.exe icon through the properties, explorer.exe crashes as soon as I apply.

Basically, the theme I currently have for my computer is good, but it's extremely buggy (random places where the colour hasn't been changed, no text bar in the Start menu when searching, a few more things that just niggle me). I need a new theme
In the picture, you can see that the theme I have has an almost completely transparent taskbar, apart from a little blur. BUT it mustn't have a border. With the normal Aero theme (and all the other theme's I've found), there's a slight border that separates the taskbar from the wallpaper. I want it just so there is no border so it goes straight from wallpaper to taskbar.
Are there any programmes that will allow me to remove the border from other third party themes? Or, as a (really reeeeeally) last resort, is there any way I could create my own theme?

My desktop has a black/white theme and I want to change the icons of running programs on the taskbar to match my theme. However, it only seems to work for some programs. I want to change my Google Chrome from the default rainbow to a white version. I have done it once and the taskbar chrome was white, but after about a week, it reverted back to the rainbow wheel. How do I change it back to my other icon

This little thing has been annoying me since Win 7 came out and finally figured I'd ask if there is some hack to change it.On my task bar I have the following icons...Internet explorer | Windows Explorer | Windows Media Player | Google Chrome | Paintshop Pro x2When none of these programs are in the open state everything is fine, however when I open up Internet Explorer, it changes the normal small icon into the full blown Internet Explorer taskbar icon right in it's place, which means my task bar will often look like a bunch of long I.E. taskbar open icons, then the small icons for Windows explorer, mediaplayer, chrome and psp, followed by a bunch of other program icons that are open programs.This looks sloppy and non intuitive to me.What I would like to do is to keep all the small icons (like they were in quickbar) on the left, and any open programs to open as new full size icons on the right of all the small icons. So that I don't have a bunch of larger open program icons, followed by all the closed small icons, followed by any other open program icons.

I upgraded to Windows 7 Prof yesterday (from XP Prof) and now i m exploring features in Windows 7.I notice the color of WLAN in the bottom right color of my taskbar is showing as white which is not very good to indicate the signal strength. i would like to ask how can i change it to green.I do not want to go Control panel -> Personalise to change the desktop theme or color scheme as this will change all the icons color. I just want to change the WLAN icon color.

how to tweak and disabled transparency, now, my task bar it white and everything looks old. The main thing is when I go to personaization, there is no option to enable transparancy and aero themes are greyed out. I followed some advice on microsoft sites, did some enabling services and registry things, but it is still not there. I cannot even restore to an earlier time because it says a restore piint hasn't been set. I actually JUST upgraded to professional right before I did this.

I'm having issues with new themes, probably just glass themes, when I open a folder, the rectangle where files should show up is blackened instead of transparent. In Gchrome the search field is black, but the start menu works fine.

My Windows 7 visual transparency has just disappeared. When I go to the personalize option, it tells me that "some features have been disabled by the administrator". I am the administrator. No other user! I've tried troubleshooting the aero transparency but to no avail. Please what can I do? How and where do I see whats disabled and not?

I have two applications. One is a game, another is a helper (sadly, not updated any longer). The helper program modifies the title bar of the game with some stats.
It displays correctly in XP, when I have Aero turned off and when I have clicked "Disable Desktop Composition" in compatibility, but not when Aero is running.
I'd like to disable aero (or just the titlebar transparency) for only this program but keep Aero running for everything else, is that possible?

I have a PC with a ATI graphics card ( ATI Radeon Xpress 200 ) in windows 7..And i noticed that the aero affects and transparency doesn't work..troubleshooting shows that the if the driver was compatible with WDDM it could work...can any one help me get that driver The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.

Ok well i just upgraded to windows 7 and i have 1.5gb of ram. I play 3 online games. ( 1. gunbound 2. combat arms 3. rakion )
When i play gunbound everything is fine, no lag at all because its kinda a kiddie 3d game.
but when i play combat arms and rakion i lag REALLY BADLY!
i just ordered a 1gb stick of ram and web pages and applications work great.
so i want to know what graphics card i need. ( i also need to know witch one will fit my pc and will work with windows 7 transparency mode, or aero? is it called, im not sure. )
Please send me links to graphics cards for 50$ or less because that's all i have right now =/

Is there a method/hack or a 3rd-party program that allows the user to hide the taskbar by dragging its top border line downwards, after un-locking the taskbar? I remember I could do that under Win9x.
