i click new game and after 2-5mins in the game with scenes and stuff. Either my screen blacks out/ just hangs and can't do anything while it slowly turns the screen white/ reboots on its own.

It was simply running too slowly.I tried seeking help in various other places, but after looking in detail trying to see what the problem was I finally discovered that my Dedicated Video RAM was the only thing that was too low. It's a mere 64 MB and I need to try and get it to 512mb if I can.I've seen various people say that your dedicated memory can be increased, other have said that it can't be increased though. I understand 2.00 GB is not a good amount for Skyrim as it continuously lags and freezes. What I need to know is how much RAM and/or other parts could I upgrade to make it run nice and smoothly, with hardly any if not no lagg at all? Also my motherboard has 4 slots for RAM, would it be possible to run 8GB ram on a 32-bit system?

I recently purchased all the necessary parts for my new computer and had it built by a friend who has done various builds for me in the past. I have been getting frequent BSODs. At first I thought it was related entirely to Skyrim, but I have also had a BSOD while burning a DVD and at idle. My system specs are as follows:

It is a retail version of Windows and everything is brand new.I have done the following: Malware test using Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware and have found nothing.Uniblue DriverScanner is showing all drivers up to date.I ran Prime95 and had no issues (temps stayed normal)I ran FurMarks and had no issues (again normal temps)I ran MemTest and the RAM passed without issue.I used HD Tune on the SSD and there also did not appear to be any problems.I have disabled Avira AV and still have the BSOD I updated the firmware on my SSD.I updated by bios I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled by GFX drivers.Nothing appears to be working and I would really like to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.Fortunately, since I just bought the parts at a local computer store I can return them for a direct swap if one of the parts is the issue. I have attached the memory dumps.
I get a computer crash while im playing skyrim. Its currently the only task I'v been experiencing this crash. The computer freezes, in the last frame of the game. I get a nasty sound in my headset, like a eletric interface kinda sound. The keyboard and mouse gets disabled (no lights or response)

I was playing Skyrim when it first blue screened. Soon after, it blue screened when browsing. Now, it is blue screening over and over again on start up.

I played the game for 100 + hours without problem, then this problem appears. Skyrim freezes then resumes then freezes every 5 seconds after playing for a few minutes. I tried re-installing the game, lowering the graphics to low, removing all mods. This is also not a savegame issue, it happens even in a new game. Also tried running in windowed mode, did not fix the issue. I also tried using game booster(to see if a background is causing this). I also tried running the game in my Windows XP partition, got the same problem. I do have the latest drivers and patch. One thing I have noticed is my CPU load goes from around 90% to 30% during the freezing.

I used to have a broken adaptor so I've been using a lower voltage adaptor that did not charge the laptop and used the Geforce 9800. I was playing Skyrim last weekend, and the game froze on a black screen just as it was cutting to a kill animation. I had to restart the computer but when Windows loaded I had a BSOD. The computer booted fine up till this point.I've been looking up causes and fixes all week, and the dump files seem to suggest a 0x116 Video_TDR_error. I've attached all the requested information.I've already tried installing several different graphics drivers - the newest, the one supplied with the card, and one between. Windows and DirectX were fully up to date. I've also tried formatting the hard drive and installing Windows fresh, twice. I've had the computer back to the state it arrived in, when the drivers worked fine, and I've tried it with only the video drivers installed. Everything I try now is still resulting in the same BSOD.I can only get Windows to load in Safe Mode, or if I go into Device Manager and disable my graphics card. I am now fairly convinced the card itself is the problem, and I'm looking for confirmation before I go and get a new one fitted.The computer was new at the end of November. 2 nights in a row my machine has shut down instantly whilst i have been downloading many torrents via utorre### and playing skyrim or within seconds of closing down skyrim. to start up the machine i have to switch of the psu and unplug it. then plug it back in and witch it on. i have experienced these types of crashes before on a diferent machine. a have a sturdy 1000w psu. and even though i have multi tasked these two programs before. this is the beginning of a bad day

Whenever I play Skyrim, after I quit, my taskbar lags and AMD VISION Engine Control Center freezes upon loading and doesn't let me click anything, so I have to kill it by right clicking on the icon. The only fix to both of these problems is restarting, which is kind of annoying. I've tried killing explorer.exe and reloading it through Task Manager, but that didn't work.
I know that this is a pretty vague explanation, but do you have any advice? I'm using a Radeon HD 6850, AMD Phenom ii x6 1065T 2.9Ghz (with TurboBoost), 8 GB 1333 RAM, nothing overclocked, and I've got the latest Catalyst/AMD/ATI video card drivers. I launch Skyrim through Steam, and I run it at almost max settings at 1920x1080. No other game I've tried has caused this. Is it possible that my problem might lie in TurboBoost, my graphics settings, or is it merely a software glitch that might get fixed later?

On this computer. No really recent games, since this is new and those were the only games my other computer could support.
how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've installed windows seven just before Christmas,and it served me well till middle of February,when "I had to explore it a bit more".And of course,I have deleted something and there was no way to boot win 7 up again.It booted correctly,but after"starting windowws" everything stopped.I tried to fix it,but no,and even worse,I was kind of short with space on C partition(cos me idiot,of course,made it just 30 gigs),and have turned off system restore.
Just for the record how smart I am,I made win 7(beta OS ?!?) my primary and only OS.
I had to save my files and didn't reformat C partition right away cos I planned to reformat it after I take the ownership and back up my documents.
So,I have installed windows seven again on E partition,which is now,after reassaining letters,C partition.And literally,now I'm having dual boot,both windows seven,one is working and one not.I have backed up my files a long time ago from now,but still didn't format that partition,and today I decided to do it.
And here is what I don't know.
When I created my C partition for Windows 7 first time,I got an extra 200Mb partition,but when I've installed Windows 7 second time on that "E"partition,I didn't have to make that 200Mb extra partition.
And now I wonder should I merge that 200Mbs with another partition and format them together,or do I have to leave it where it is?
I'm not sure,and I don't even know if another win 7 installation is using that 200Mb partition or not?
What should I do?
And one more thing,I have deleted windows folder from ex "C" partition couple weeks ago.
I have just done a clean install from vista to win 7 using a upgrade version of win 7 hp, following the tutorial off this site, but when doing the install it didn't ask me for the product key or if i wanted to activate win 7, any one else had this happen, do i need to do anything. When i look at system page it shows a product key that doesn't match the one in the box & there is a button that asks if i want to change the product key, it also states i have 30 days to activate win 7.
