When I play SWTOR and WOW it randomly crashes to desktop. My browsers also stop responding and crashes (usually with java or flashplayer) I have updated all java`s and flashplayers btw.I monitored my pc using afterburner (did no clocking whats so ever, was at default) and all temparatures where normal - at 30C on idle and around 50-60C while gaming.

After installing a new GTX 660, my computer is now having problems with Windows Desktop Manager. Whenever I play a game like BF3 or Arma II, the desktop manager crashes. So far I have tried disabling WDM, repair install, using the hardware scanner, memtest, clean boot, and updating drivers. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Here's what I got.Dell XPS desktop (wired and wireless connections)boot the machine and all is fine. After sometime browsers stop working. Firefox, IE, Chrome.I can ping google by URL and IP no problemIt's the same with either connection.I can ping my router and other network devices but can't get in via browser.I've turned off windows firewall, ran uninstall tools for dells preinstalled security.I've reset the tcp/ip stack, flushed DNS, reinstalled drivers, shut off power options on the cards. 've tried static IPsI've remove/reinstalled browsers.I've seen others with this problem but no solution, I'm close to giving up and doing a reinstall but don't want this to happen again.

View 11 Replies View Relatedmy specs: emachines notebook intel core i3 cpu 2gb ram windows 7 64 bit browsers installed ie8, firefox 4 and chrome avg free edition installed shockwave flash 10.3.181.4 installed for ff graphics driver intel hd graphics driver version 8.15.10.2119 i'm accessing the internet through wireless internet i have been having a problem where playing flash video has crashed all the browsers i have installed. this issue has happened on multiple websites including Internet and bbc iplayer. it started happening out of the blue on 25th may 2011. there doesn't appear to be any microsoft updates added at that time and i did not install any new software on that day.
in firefox the issue happens 100% of the time. after watching for a few minutes the video starts to buffer and then the browser completely freezes up before the frame greys out and the option to send crash report appears. when i reload the page the same thing happens again. sometimes the audio will start to repeat itself with a delay of a few seconds before crashing.
in chrome, the same thing happens except the built in plug in becomes unresponsive and the browser then freezes and reports the error. ie crashes too although i hardly ever use it to be honest.
the things i have tried to fix this so far (without success) have been: manually uninstall all adobe products uninstall all browsers delete folders and reg entries for flash and delete folders for browsers reinstall software and flash run malwarebytes (no warnings or bad files). run a registry cleaner. nothing reported that seemed to be relevant to flash or media playback. uninstall flash revert back to flash 10.2 (i actually noticed a slight improvement when using 10.2 but cannot access embedded video in facebook etc so wasn't a viable option for me). disable avg and try playback unistall avg and try playback uninstall avg and windows firewall and try playback check for new video driver updated (there were none) untick enable hardware acceleration allow flash to store content in global settings i have not done a system restore and do not really want to do that if possible.
the only other thing i have noticed is that it has been difficult to install exe files from the web since this issue started (when trying to reinstall browsers etc). windows was corrupting the installers for chrome and firefox as well as the malware bytes.
I'm using windows 7 32bit version and I've been having a lot of pc crashes lately and its getting a blue screen and an error related to irql_not_less_or_equal. i really dont know what it is but i manage to get a minidump file. i dont know how to read this error report but from what i read it tracks down the cause of the problem. i'm hoping to find the answer and fix it. the minidump files are attached, 3 reports all in all

When i'm using my system, usually while using Ableton Live 8 (but not at all limited to), my mouse and keyboard stop responding. The system is still working, if for instance a song is playing then it will continue to do so, etc. I just can't move my mouse and can't do anything with my keyboard. Restarting fixes the issue. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. Today, a new symptom: while doing normal browsing my mouse freezes for just about a second. Then I hear the same sound you hear when you connect a new device into any usb port. And then the mouse works again.

I had to do a hard reboot. These happend after playing half an hour or so.After some time passed, computer started to give me bsods with often about nvlddmkm.sys or sometimes -rarely- PFN_LIST_CORRUPTED. The problem happens randomly (I haven't managed to nail down a pattern when it happens or replicate it). Let's say it happens when running full-screen applications (games n stuff)Without warning everything that's connected through a USB stops working. Mouse and Keyboard are in usb 3 slots (and are compatible) and headset in usb2 port. The devices are powered still normally and the computer still functions (for example, game of LoL still continues normally, I can see what other players do or type etc etc, but the usb devices are unresponsive - though powered)

I've tried running Ccleaner and using the registry cleaner. I've also tried defragmenting my hdd but nothing is working. Overall its is generally slow but alot of the time Windows explorer freezes and stops responding and needs restarting.I have an asus K55VD notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1, quad core i7 processor, 8gb ram, 2gb dedicated graphics and over 200gb of free space on my hdd. I've had some issues with video drivers lately
Recently I have been having this problem where my PS/2 keyboard and mouse both stop responding. The lights are still on, but neither work. Sometimes it happens just to my mouse, and not the keyboard, but usually both. When it happens, they are not responding for anywhere from a few seconds, to a few minutes (but by that point I restart the computer). If it happens just to the mouse, putting the computer to sleep using the keyboard and wakening it again fixes the problem.
I have tried to update the drivers in device manager by letting windows search for them online, but it says they are up-to-date. I also checked all the connections inside the computer, unplugging and re-plugging each one as well as air-dusting.
EDIT: If I can't find a fix, I think I will just purchase a USB mouse and keyboard, but I'd rather try fix the problem first.
i have installed windows 7 in may sysytem a few monts ago and since then each time i install a program the program works fine but after two or three restarts it give an error that the program has stopped working and give me two opptions (1)check online for more solutions(2)close the program and when i go to more details its says that the problem name is:APPcrash

A colleague of mine using the 64bit version of Windows 7 Enterprise has been having this problem for the past day or so. No matter what program he's using, as soon as he clicks print, the program stops responding. This even happens if you try to print a test page - Windows Explorer stops responding. It's not printer specific, since this happens before you have the option to select a printer (and he has several, one local printer and a few network printers). I've tried running the troubleshooting tool, but all that does is restart the print spooler, which doesn't stop the problem.

These are the specs of my computer and my computer seems to crash or restart my computer while I am playing Minecraft or Sanctum.
I bought GTA complete pack from steam from steam the other day and patiently waited for the 40gb of files to download and they all ran fine but when I play GTA IV it runs fine until I shoot someone or crash in a car.When I shoot or crash then the screen goes black, the sound loops and the only way I can do anything is if I use task manager to shut down my pc (and even then it gets to "shutting down ..." and stays there until I hold down the power button). When I turn it back on everything is fine but I don't know why it's doing it.

I have a problem which is that when I play games the screen goes black and then it plays the audio that was playing at that moment quickly and repeatedly for 2 or 3 seconds and then the computer will restart. After the computer restarts it won't work so I have to manually turn off the computer and then turn it back on. This happens on the majority of games that I play.

I have no discs to burn memtest to, so is there any alternative? Also, these crashes have been happening since before OC.I opened up Event Viewer and found an error code under -Applications, labled: Source- WMI: Event ID- 10 "Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected."I would figure that if my GPU could pass furtest on the fullest test without it shutting down then my PSU is handling the load. Also I don't believe that 950W is too little for what I'm running.
