View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm fully formatting a second hard drive in my computer and it's a 3tb drive so it's going to take a while. I was wondering if I could watch videos I have on my other drive or if that would cause the process to run less efficiently or even skip sectors it was supposed to check.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to protect a template that contains parts, that should be edited eventhough there is protection activated. These fields should have a special formatting (font and size) which is missing after protecting the document. How to fix this? Only possible with a macro? Tried to do it but couldn't make it work. Please help as soon as possible. This is urgent. Don't get why this must be so complicated after it has been so nice before Office 2010.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was attempting to copy a large number of small files from one USB stick to another. An error came up saying that the FAT file system would support only a limited number of files, and I would have to format it for NTFS to support more files. So I formatted it for NTFS...and now when I try to copy the files, it says the device is write-protected.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm after an app that can either encrypt my storage harddrives or password them with an extremely high security status. If that make sense
What i want to be able to do is set my drives so i can lock them from access whenever i'm out or away from my machine, but because i'm extremely consistent in popping out for 10 mins or just leaving the machine whilst i do other things i'll need a way of locking it that doesn't take hours to lock and hours to unlock. I also want it to be locked so if someone was to reinstall the OS, remove the program that is being used or put the HDD in another pc it still won't be accessible.
Any ideas?

I have 2 laptops - the hard drive for one of them is now suddenly asking me for a password.I never set any password on it
1. I set the BIOS password on one laptop (which has a dual boot)
2. I made a backup image of the Windows OS on an external drive using that dual-booted machine
3. I then installed that backed-up image on the other harddrive using the same machine - and that caused the password....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an "server" with windows 7 ultimate running. Here I have earlier shared the whole hard disks and no protection everyone on the network could access them.
But now I would like to share folders to specified peoplecomputers. iv'e made user accounts on the computer and chosen to share only with them. But the problem then is that I cant access the server anymore, and I don't get an option to log in to the server, only an error message that I don't have permission.
The computers are part of an network run by an sbs 2011 with an domain. no log in over the network. When i find the server on an other computer and try to open it I only get an error message.
If I than share an folder with everyone alowed to se it, I can connect to the computer and see the shared folders, but cant acsess the ones with password only the one without and I still don't get an option to log in.
