I`m trying to pin a speech recognition shortcut to the taskbar of a Windows 7 system so that the program starts when I click it.At the moment, I can only get as far as creating a shortcut that opens with the `Configure your Speech Recognition` window and I can`t seem to work out where the actual program starts from. I thought if I could find the exe file, I could create a shortcut from there and guessed it`d be in C/Windows/system32 but unless it`s camouflaged, it doesn`t seem to be there.

Shortcut Icons just show the >unknown< icon.I have tried to:
1. reboot in safe mode
2. move the shortut folder in and out
3. closed Explorer.exe and reopen it.
4. the last thing i've tried was to use the system restore as many say htat would help the problem. but when i want's to run system Restore it comes with the fatal error "0x80090067", so i cannot restore. WTF.

I have already reported to Sony to but i heard their take their time but thats the one thing what i dont have at the moment so i know many people here know about that stuff to. So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . The problem is after the system restore every time Vegas launches i get a error : Sony Vegas pro 10 an error occurred starting Vegas Pro Error 0x80070002 (message missing).

I ran some software 'Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover' to get rid of shortcut arrowsHowever, it stopped me being able to pin files/progs to the Windows 7 Home Premium taskbar.I removed the program because its more important to me that I can pin programs. However it has now caused a different problem ... with the shortcut iconsAlthough I can now pin programs, the original shortcut arrows on my icons have been replaced by large white rectangles as though the original arrow image cannot be found.I tried deleting the IsShortcut key in the registry and this fixes the look of the icons. However, it stops me pinning again.

I've been looking for a way to solve this problem but I've haven't found anything.. When ever i right click on a icon on my desktop (games, firefox, etc) a quick error box pops up and quickly goes away, so i don't actually have a chance to see the error and the menu that normaly comes up when right clicking doesn't open. But when i right click on the background, the menu pops up no problem..

I can't find anything on this and all 501/505 message posts are related to Windows XP not 7. But, I have a 501/505 error message in my Windows 7. Funny thing, it is a problem with all my browsers (IE and Firefox) and I cannot access any website with the www. prefix. Urls without this prefix works fine. The only thing I can think of is that I downloaded and installed a Java update yesterday. Did this cause the 501/505 error problem? I also tried following the steps recommended by Microsoft for XP [URL]
