View 1 RepliesI have tried shutting it down, when I turn it back on it goes straight to that screen again, no startup or anything. I tried shutting off and unplugging. Turns on straight to blue intel desktop screen again. Tried shutting down, unplugging, pressing power again to make sure it's off. Same thing.
Tried CTRL ALT DELETE, no response. Tried throwing keyboard...nothing...
But why would it stay on this screen even after shut down and unplud for more then 30 seconds? More than a minute?
It is like it was never turned off, and it gives me no options to boot from my backup drive or F8. just turns on to blue intel screen? Running windows 7...

View 1 Replies View RelatedBy mistake I dragged the Internet Explorer folder to the Desktop and now I can't get it off the desktop. This is not the link to open IE but a folder with 2 sub folders (en-us and SCROLL) plus 18 files. It functions just like Windows Explorer. When I click on it I can browse my entire computer the same as if I was in Windows Explorer. I have a new Dell Vostro Computer that I just started up yesterday. It has Windows 7 Professional and IE 9.When this happened IE in the tray would not do anything and I had to drag a copy back to the tray. Now everything seems to work ok but I would like to remove the IE Folder from my desktop. It is not the normal e shaped icon but a folder icon.I have tried everything and I cannot get it off the desktop. I'm logged on as Admin. I know you cannot delete IE. I don't want to do that I just want it removed from the desktop. I could probably restore my system but I have already installed Visual Studio and other software so I don't want to do that.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed a new motherboard into my compaq preserio and when the computer starts up I am greeted with a black screen that says "loading operating system...". When I plug the original motherboard in I am greeted with a black screen, nothing happens after that. I have already installed the new motherboard's drivers but thats was when it crashed. I ran a diagnostic on it and it gave me error BIOHD 3, which I believe means that the drivers couldnt be found. So I am stuck at a stand still until I can find a fix.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had Windows 7 installed for approx. a year without this problem occurring in the past. There was an update last night which I applied on shutdown. This morning, when I boot up my machine, it went to the login screen. After logging in, the screen is stuck on the "Welcome" and the spinning wheel. I restarted and booted into safe mode with success, and attempted to restore to the point before the updates. Same problem occurred, and when I rebooted into safe mode, it said that System Recovery was not able to find the previous restore point. I then tried the restore point before that, and the same problem occurred. Also, my hard disks appear to be functioning fine.
