I have received a list of data which is in the form of a table containing several columns. This list contains something in excess of 300 lines which I want to put into an Excel 2003 spreadsheet. Is there any way I can achieve this without the tedium of manual input of each line ?
I want to write a script that prompt the user to enter two integers. The script should then calculate the odd, even and prime numbers between the two entered numbers in a tabular form...
My Outlook 2010 installation has started displaying a dialogue box that my mailbox is over its limit and that I should consider coverting my data file to the new style MS Outlook 2010 data file which can handle larger file sizes.
I initially had 1 500gb dynamic disk, with one partition containing all my documents and windows files. I created a partition in the free space to copy my documents into so I could overwrite Windows keeping my documents intact. However I did not have enough free space for all my documents so after copying over one batch of files I shrunk the windows partition and extended my document partition. I had to repeat this again so I now have three extended document partitions. I then put in the windows CD, formatted the OS Recovery, SYSTEM Reserved and Windows parititions but then was unable to install Windows as it did not recognise any disks. I attempted FixMBR etc but to no avail.
I searched around and saw i may be able to change the sector hex from 42 (dynamic) to 07 (basic), but im wondering whether doing so will preserve the extended partitions i have? So my question is, will changing 42 to 07 preserve the extended partitions. Do I need to repeat for each 42 (like the link you posted) and then the three dynamic extended partitions will then become one basic partition? At the moment I can not actually see the data so have no idea how to back it up? Otherwise I would do as you say and back it up, format and copy back over.

DISKPART: Acronis Disk Director (see documents spanned)
Active unDelete (again, three partitions)
HxD (showing 42)
So, basically im asking if i am safe to convert 42 to 07 WITHOUT losing any data?
I have a 500GB dynamic hard drive which had a Windows 7 install on it. I wanted to reinstall Windows, so from within Windows setup I formatted the system and Windows partition, leaving a partition containing documents and pictures (i was unable to delete them). From then, Windows seemed unable to recognise the disk so i searched in DISKPART and found that the disk was labelled as INVALID.
After Googling around it looks as though i can simply change the 1C02 in the hex from 42 to 07 - however, my only concern was that the documents i have on this drive are spanned across three adjacent (dynamic?) partitions - so i am concerned that by focing the disk to be basic i will lose the connection between these partitions. My Outlook 2010 installation has started displaying a dialogue box that my mailbox is over its limit and that I should consider coverting my data file to the new style MS Outlook 2010 data file which can handle larger file sizes.I was successfully using MS Outlook 2003, and 2010 for a while, now this error message pops up!
i have an excel doc with about 300 records all in a cell each, i want to get them all in to a specific field on a website in their own tab in firefox. any one know if this can be done?
I sometimes get a script error when getting data from web when using Excel 2010.
This seems to depend on the ISP I'm using as I can take the laptop into some Wifi enabled Cafe's and EXCEL gets the data without the error popup.
Since I like to run some of these as background queries (updating Stock prices for instance) is there any way to skip or supress the popup. I've just about tried every possible option both in OFFICE and IE.
I have a large 4000 x 25 Excel 2003 spreadsheet that keeps losing rows of data. I normally add 5-10 rows a day and over the last few weeks I have noticed that a couple of days data has disappeared every so often. The sheet is being closed cleanly and saved. Fortunately I have a daily backup so I have been able to go back. the data is there for two days after it was originally entered and then disappears. There has been no restore of the data and the rows have not been accidentally deleted.
Been trying to update to Skype 5.1 from 5.0. Here is what I have been through.
1.Downloaded the Skype Setup file .98 mb and ran that. Got a fatal error 1603 proceeded by error 1663. Spent a day trying to learn about that. Did not find a solution.
2. Found out that I could download a larger file "Skype SetupFull 20.1 mb. That did not work either.
3. Went to the Skype Community Forum. Would not except my email because another member was using it. Well, duh, that's me signed into my Skype account. Signed out of that account and still could not get into the forum.
5. In the meantime I restored the computer didn't fix the problems. Then I recovered an image that was made on Feb. 4. That did not help so went back to last nights image.
6. A member of Windows 7 Forum suggested the I run SPC SCANNOW and if that did not help to do a "repair install" of W7. The scan did not help. Still got the 1663 error and could not get into the Skype forum.
7. I then did a "repair install" of W7. Took ownership of the following folders all on C drive. Users, Windows, Programfiles and ProgramData.
8. Now when I run SkypeSetupFull 20.1 mb I get a box that say's "Cannot write the installation package to the disk. Be sure I have enough room on the disk".. Well, I have twice the space required. I suspect it has to do with security.
I recently built my own PC and need to figure out how to transfer files from my old mac to my new pc.I have an external hard drive, and the mac recognizes it when I plug it in but won't let me transfer any files to it.
my eMachine eM250 will not boot Windows 7 starter in any way shape or form. Safe mode hangs on CLASSAPP.??? i'm not sure exactly what the filename is, and any F8 otion will hang. Restore/recover will not boot up, installation USB with Win 7 install copied to it does not work, the only option I have is switching my HDD to IDE and that gives me X:\addministrator.....with a few option, none which work, it doesn't even recognize C: drive, eventhough BIOS does. I am able to get to Edit Boot Options and am wondering if there is anything I can do here to save this little netbook.
Suddenly I am unable to type into form fields.I have to trick it by writing the text in an e-mail, copying that, then right-click and paste into the form field - even to login here I had to do that - nothing happens when I try to type into the field.Environment: Windows 7 Home PremiumAsus PC
I am trying to convert my old VHS tapes to DVD at minimal expense. I have the Roxio Video Capture USB and the driver seems to be working correctly for this Capture device. Even though I have the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD software, I was unable to install the software as it kept getting hung up because I believe the software is too old. Instead I decided to use a free Golden Video software as the software to capture the videos through the Roxio Video Capture USB. The Golden Video software appears to be working fine but it only captures the audio but no video.
I do not have the original VHS camcorder, but am instead running the VHS tapes through a VHS/TV and am thinking that may be the issue. The coaxial cable is running from the back of the TV to a Radio Shack RF Modulator which then has the three video/audio cables (red, white and yellow) running from the back of this Radio Shack box into the same cables on the Roxio Capture USB which is then plugged into the computer.
I feel that this setup should work, but perhaps one cannot capture the video from a VHS/TV but must use a camcorder or a VCR (neither of which I have). I have not seen this addressed on the internet and am wondering if anyone knows if this setup is possible.
My site is working properly, but lately I added a form to inter act with my clients but it seems that it does not work with people that have live mail set on their laptop with windows 7. Every time the click the submit button on my form, live mail starts & opens a new mail window instead of sending the form contents directly to my e-mail address. I am sure that my code is 100% correct in defining the form.
I have a business machine, very old. It came with Win 2000, and was leased out to business then returned for more recent models. These are eagerly snapped up, and I have had this one for a number of years. But it just keeps on going and going, and I like it very much.
I put Windows 7 on, just for the heck of it. But surprisingly it ran very well. I can't do very much as I can't find a graphics driver for it. So everything is 640x, very large. I searched all over, even went to their web site. Their graphics drivers only go up to XP, not even Vista.
Is there someone out there who can find a graphics driver that will work? I was experimenting putting Photoshop CS 2 on, and the little Compaq couldn't even load it with XP. With Windows 7, Photoshop CS4 not only was able to open but ran normally. Not slow at all. Course I didn't do anything challenging, just normal adjustments. But still I was really impressed. I just can't use this computer unless I can find a driver for the graphics so I can change the resolution. It has the integrated type.
In the act of trying to get my Velocity computer up and running (new P.S.U. and CDRom Drive) from a power spike at home I loaded 3 copies of Vista on the HD as I figgled with the BIOS boot order. To make a long story short: I was not able to get the system to boot and correctly complete the install of Vista and then Windows 7 (got a Windows upgrade disk with the machine years ago and had it, Win.7 running after the first week.). Now I have 3 incomplete installs of Vista sitting on the HD and I would like to get them off so I can make room for better things.
I have created an adobe form using acrobat pro x. It has an email submit button. When you click on it up comes the window for your email (Outlook) and then it automatically sends your form to "Joe". We currently have it on our intranet for all users to be able to access. If the user has Windows 7, the form will send without outlook opening, but if you have XP, it will open up Outlook and then the user hits 'send'.
I am using Outlook 10 and windows 7, but others have XP and Outlook 7 and they do not have the same issue, only windows 7 users
i think on a folder applay some permission by softwere. when is past some file it apeare one massage say access is deny i can't remove the permission from folder in security tab.
I am planning on buying a computer that has Windows 7 on it. I have a lot of business data Microsoft Office 97, especially Excel 97. If I install Microsoft Office 97 onto Windows 7 will it work? if not, could I transition up by buying Microsoft Office 2003 and then going to Window 7.
In windows 7 there is a glaze on the active window, but in a cruel joke by MS, every other window also has a glaze (just a bit less).Note: My taskbar is using the old style from Win XP.How do I fix this? Ive tried playing with the themes, and at best I can make the active window look more obvious, but never that apparent... The other solution is to use "classic theme" but I lose Areo
All of a sudden, my pc now has this small message box load when it gets to the desktop which says "The path is not of a legal form."I have searched everywhere on the net to find something that might be able to help diagnose what is causing this but to no avail.
I have client fields that are clients first name, clients last name, their street address, suburb and city, their landline number and their cell phone number and their email address.I don't always want to see the email address and would like to have a button that will show or hide the email address.Been trying everything and cant find a method to solve this, been using access 2010 complete book and internet?
I have Sony Vaio CW26. Yesterday Sound stopped working from Speaker, it's still working from headphones. I tried to restore the system but the farther point I found was done 3 hours ago......
