For the past few weeks, my computer has been experiencing a couple of different failures. Sometimes it freezes up (including the mouse), sometimes it BSODs (different error messages at different times), and sometimes it just shuts off and restarts, as if the power had been momentarily cut. For the past week, I've been getting some random BSODs, some freezes, and sometimes just a random restart. there is a flash of a pixelated screen, and then it just restarts. This computer is nigh on two years old, and has showed no sign whatsoever of slowness or any malfunction. Yet for the past week or so, it's been randomly crashing and getting restarted. Specs

I would upload the dump files, but honestly, it crashes by the time i press the copy button. i am attempting to get them using the homegroup from this computer.
I managed to pull the dump files out from the homegroup. here they are.
Been happening to me for awhile computer will either crash after running for awhile and sometimes the BSOD will state a reason of Cache Manage or System Service Exception, or no reason at all. Sometimes the computer just randomly restarts though.

I bought a HP P6510f PC about 1.5 years ago. In the past month the computer started having problems. The first sign of problems was powering on and the computer would not boot up but instead go to a blank screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner of screen. I ran a diagnostic through the internal software, I believe it's called PC Doctor and all componenets checked out fine - RAM, CPU, Hard Drive, etc. I then decided to reinstall windows 7. After installing the computer started to work like new again, except the next day it restarted itself and went to a black screen. It's done this a few times now. Sometime it boots up fine, other times it gets stuck and won't boot, just a black screen or the HP screen welcome screen with option for setup f10 (though won't respond).
Are there ways I can check for internal malfunctioning hardware?I did go into event viewer and noticed a few errors under System and Application that I have pasted below Critical - Kernel 41 power "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." I got a new HD and windows7 home premium 64bit, when my computer starts up i get to the desktop, where the dialog box should come up where i pick my languange and begin install. This never appears and eventually my computer restarts and repeats until it freezes after the second or third restart.I loaded fail safe defauls and now i can begin the install process but im still having the same problem with restarting and freezing seemingly randomly. I ran a memory diagnostic and did not find any problems.

When it restarts sometimes it has to boot a couple of times, it seems as though it can' boot the BIOS, the bios splash screen is also different, this also changed 2 days ago. The first couple of times it froze, now it just restarts randomly. I suspect the motherboard.

I had a virus about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Dunno where it came from, completly random as i did not download anything bad. Avg scanned it, reported nothing, so i deleted my account and it aparently fixed it. So everythings fine for a few more days, then i get random bsods. First a freese from playing portal 2 and after a reboot the keyboard wasn't happy with its current drivers and reinstalled them from windows. Then hell broke open and i was getting bsods everwhere. By the way it was a Cyborg Gaming Keyboard if that helps. So i reinstalled the drivers from the offical site wih a different keyboard and it fixed it for a day or 2. Now im still getting them, even after a Re-install which by the way, Windows PE itself bsods before installing. Then after a new desktop, everyting clean but still the bsods.

I have installed new memory and checked the old ones. They are both clean from faults. I have the dumps here. Which is all i can gather from a linux cd i used to get them. Which by the way dosn't get errors which means its windows based and to do with the hardware. One last thng is that i found some files missing from one of my games before i formatted so could it be bad sectors.
I have recently upgraded my system from 2 GB to 6GB of RAM and installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit (it's not the original OS)for try and study the benefit of the 64bit platform....my hardware is 3 years old. I have update drivers, OS but I have had few BSODs and freezes..

The system used to be overclocked (both CPU and memory). I have since downclocked the processor to its default speed and underclocked the memory and loosened the timings in a hope it may be related to the problem but nothing has helped so far.I also get complete freezes in windows 7 from time to time, requiring a reboot. Also run chdsk on both connected drives and nothing unusual has been reported. I have also run a check to verify that the windows file systems integrity is ok.
I think this all started after I did a RAM upgrade
It began with programs stopping (kernel32.dll, idon'tknowthenameanymore.dll)
But also games are just freezing after some time, mw2, ac, cod4. They all crash randomly.
Now sometimes the whole system freezes and I have to reset it.
Also, I get various BSOD's (ie IRQl not less or equal)
I think it has somethin to do with my memory,
I have 4 gb dual corsair 1066 kit combined with 2 gb Reaper 1066.
I am thinking of re-installing windows, because I didn't install it after the upgrade
Or do you guys think that the memory is corrupted?

I'm not sure what's wrong. GW2 was working fine for a couple of days, and then the updates came rolling in. My computer started freezing, crashing, and a couple of bsods every hour or so. Only happens when playing GW2 though.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been having this problem for a little while now and have had a hard time pin-pointing the source.
It seems to be caused by the network card I have (look in my specs). Whenever I stream videos using ORB the computer will reset what seems to be about every 10 minutes. When I stop streaming, it stays on. Sometimes I'll leave it idle for about 6 - 8 hours, get home and notice that the mouse isn't on and the machine is just locked up. The only way to recover is to reboot.
This did this with previous releases of 7 but I thought it would be fixed in the RTM. I have the most recent drivers for my NIC.
My computer has been crashing a lot lately. Usually, the computer freezes and weird lines appear on the display when it happens. Other times it just shows a BSOD and restarts. It started happening around 2-3 weeks after my motherboard, processor and RAM were changed because a part of the previous motherboard had burnt. The previous motherboard was ASUS M3A78-EM, the onboard graphics was ATI Radeon HD 3200 and RAM was 2 GB DDR2.I took the PC to a my computer vendor after everything I tried had failed. Firstly, he diagnosed it as an issue because of improper earthing/grounding in the switchboard where I plugged the computer and the UPS. I got the earthing issue sorted but to no avail, it still hanged/freezed. The second time I took it to him he said that he might have to update the BIOS and when I brought it back the problem had apparently been fixed but that was only for a few days. After like 4-5 days it started happening again. Same weird lines - green, magenta, purple and all the rest of it - started appearing. The HDD LED stops when this happens. I only observed the LED today, though. Today the computer freezed without those weird lines on two out of the 5 or 6 times it happenrd, it looked like it had just hanged but the HDD LED had gone off.Sometimes the PC doesn't start up at all immediately after it has crashed. That's what led me to guess it's a hardware issue. I'm getting this random BSOD since 2 or 3 weeks ago. Sometimes when idle, browsing, and gaming. But sometimes I'm not getting any at all for a whole day. And I also getting this random hangs, freezes, and restarts. Can this be caused by bad hardware?

Once on the "Starting Windows" screen with the pulsing windows logo, about 10 seconds in the screen will freeze. After staying frozen for a moment, the screen goes dark and my monitor reports: Quote: NO SIGNAL DIGITAL At this point my machine is still running; LEDs, Temp. readout, fans, etc. still function as normal. Motherboard reports no error. My only option is to force a shutdown or restart. Sometimes instead of a 'Windows has failed to start' error message, I receive an improper shutdown notice and am given options to start in Safe Mode (or Safe Mode with Networking). My system is always able to start and run fine in Safe Mode.I have been struggling with this issue for a few months and have since replaced my processor and motherboard, and sent my video card in for repairs. Whether or not Asus actually did anything to my GPU remains unknown.
I recently built my own desktop. Not my first build but a relatively new builder. Everytime I am on it it freezes up and restarts itself and goes into the black windows recovery screen. My new build was fine and now all of a sudden I am having this issue.

I posted my problem on another forum (SevenForums) and had someone helping me but they seem to have dissapeared and my problem has not. url...If you don't mind please read up until page 2 as that is my latest errors (posted today). I just see linking you to things I've already tried the best option rather than me try to explain everything again .
It has been going on for a while now, I have tried everything I can think of to no avail.I get Blue Screens out of the blue from anywhere, i can be idle to playing a game to the computer just getting into windows. On the link above I've tried many things, inluding memtest, driver verifyer, chkdisk, uninstalling norton (he said that could be the problem), system repair, a complete re-install of windows 7, updating all my drivers. To most recently cutting back to 4GB ram and making the timings and voltages to the correct setting instead of being on 'auto' in my bios, and it still BSODing. I have also ran 'prime95' on a blend test, and had errors on core #4:
I just built a new computer for my inlaws and had several BSODs with different bccodes (1, 1a, a). I formatted and reinstalled the OS, updates, as well as clean installs of all recent drivers downloaded from the manufacturer websites. I have had several BSODs after this and I am worried that it may be related to the memory I have installed.
I ran a full disk scan, as well as SeaTools short and long tests. These were all passed with no errors. Also, I have updated the bios to the most recent, reseated ram, unplugged/replugged all sata and power cables inside. Specs are as follows:

I have a client (company) who I've built and connected multiple computers for--all with the same hardware. All but one out of 8 have been great. This last one is causing me hell. I've analyzed the dumps (but I'm a rookie to crash dump examinations), and I originally thought it was a graphics driver issue. I removed the card from device manager, driver swept the drivers, and installed the newest drivers after the re-install of the card. Still two more BSODs (see the last two dumps for that).

Recently I built a computer for my friend. After running it through some typical diagnostics, I concluded that it was fine. Two days later he called me and told me that the PSU was making weird noises. That's when his first BSOD happened. It was pretty obvious that the PSU was done, and he RMA'd it back. When the new one came back it was working fine, but after a few days he called me again and said that it was BSOD'ing a lot. I checked it out and it seemed to happen a few minutes after waking up from sleep mode. It happened every time. At first I thought it could have been a hard drive problem so he RMA'd that. When the new one came back it was the same story.
View 4 Replies View Relatedso recently (in november) i upgraded my cpu, mobo, and ram, and have been getting many bsods. my new cpu is the amd bulldozer 8 core, and since its been known to have some problems, i updated my bios to the latest available (a beta bios). that fixed my steam games giving bsods. now i randomly get bsods every once in a while (every week or two) but the last few days i have gotten a bsod every day. i have disabled c1e state on my bios, and that made it so i don't bsod while watching embedded Internet videos. i also installed the windows bulldozer hotfix, which made my pc faster. then i noticed something special about my bsods - they only seem to happen while i am doing something not very resource intensive, like web browsing. it never happens while i am playing a game. so i thought it might be a driver having issues with state changes of my cpu. i disabled c6 state in my bios just in case, but that didn't seem to help much.

I have had BSODs almost daily for the past week or so, but they're all different. Several hours ago, after leaving it unattended for a few hours, the computer just kind of turned off, but with the system fan and lights still on. My monitors has no signal, and my keyboard didn't do anything, but its light was still on. Maybe there's something wrong with my graphics card? I'm going to try to run a memtest tonight.
I recently got another different BlueScreen, with an older not resolved. I got two BCodes, 0x000000c2 and 0x0000005a. I ran 'chk dsk /f' and ' sfc /scannow' and got no errors. Latest BSOD Earlier BSOD

Every now and then my computer shuts down then restarts on its own. I notice that any usernames and passwords that I have set to remember are reset. I get this error in my event viewer I don't know if its related :
"Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. I bought an ASUS G73JH gaming laptop 2 months ago and just started getting this random, inexplicable error. It's happened twice this last week and I have lost a considerable amount of unsaved work because of it. What happened the first time was I put my laptop to sleep in order to do something else and when I came back it had shut down by itself. After booting it back up the first thing that was displayed was the window in the images above. I don't know if my computer actually had a BSOD before it shut down because I was not there to see what happened. Second time this happened, I just left my computer at idle without putting it to sleep and left the room. My laptop is configured to go to screensaver after 10 minutes and sleep after 15. When I came back this time, my power button was not blinking, meaning the computer was not asleep, but the monitor had shut off and could not be turned back on with the monitor on/off toggle.
I had to manually restart the computer by holding the power button, and when it booted back up again the same window appeared. Yet again, I don't know if my computer actually had a BSOD because this time the monitor was turned off. P.S. My system specs are in the sig below and I've attached the requisite .zip file. No components are overclocked or otherwise modified at the hardware or software level.
A few months ago I built my first PC. All parts were brand new, except the graphics card. I couldn't afford the one I wanted so I used an old Radeon HD 4670 - a card that doesn't match the rest of the system in power.Maybe a week ago, I started getting blue screens. At first I'd be able to use the computer for hours before the BSOD. It would generally go by too fast for me to read what it said, though I caught a few error messages, which I will post below. I'd say about 5 days ago is when it became unusable. Sometimes I get a few minutes before it crashed, sometimes only 40 seconds or so. I have been using a family member's (extremely slow) Mac laptop for internet use, and also an iPod touch on the side. Needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated that I can't access any of my music or use a speedy computer to do what I want. I'm worried that I did something wrong while building - but why would it take months to become apparent?
- I ran memtest on the advice of a forum member. Two passes is what they recommended, and no errors popped up.
- I scheduled a check disk, although when I rebooted my computer to let it run, it only took 5-10 minutes - shouldn't it take WAY longer than that?
- System Restore. I tried yesterday and got a BSOD during. Today I was able to restore to the 24th (that was my earliest restore point), however about 2 minutes afterward I got the usual BSOD.
BSOD Errors:It has shown so many errors - it seems to literally be a new one each time. I don't know if I've even seen the same one twice. Sometimes it's on the top, in capital letters, and sometimes on the bottom, with an extension (a file). These are the ones I spotted (especially after I told it not to restart on error so I could read them):

I've just moved flat and after I did my computer keeps rebooting itself every so often. There doesn't seem to be any reason to it. I've check that all my fans are still working and that all the cables and cards and what not are corrected install and that something hasn't been knocked but everything seems fine to me. I had a wee gander round the internet and it pointed me to check my system log and the two error codes I'm getting every time this happens is: Event I.D 41 + Event I.D 6008. The I have just recently got a new Graphics card, 4gb extra of ram and a wireless adapter. These were all installed on a clean version of windows 7.
