So, I start the computer and login fine. After login my computer freezes and either blue screens without text or returns to the normal desktop but is frozen. I have tried to run it in safemode and it will not crash in it. I'm thinking a driver problem or possible corrupt memory.
View 8 RepliesI have been using the program Nero SyncUp for a month, but a week ago, the program started to crash immediately after log in. A window error box comes up saying "SyncUp has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you is a solution is available." I have re installed the program and have used system restore to go back to when the program was working but still the same issue.
Where can I find more details about this error so I can go about trying to fix it. The exact same program works without any problem on my other computer that I sync to. When I open up the Windows Event viewer I see the issue under "Windows Logs - Application" as an error report but I have no idea what information on there is generic and what defines the problem or if this is even the place to look.
alright about a week ago my pc kept rebooting himself, tried to fix it by doing virus scans, i did have a nasty worm virus but that was from MSN (worm)
anyway since a few days my pc wont boot in Windows 7 at all, so i went to my mate and borrowed his windows 7 disc, i tried to repair it but it said i cant do it, so i formated my 3x hard drives (wanted to do that anyway) and re-installed windows7 on the hard drives, still this dint fixed the problem.
yesterday i got Hirens Boot CD 15.1 from my mate and i could run a mini xp from the cd, i did a Hard drive scan and appearantly 2x of the 3x hard drives where a bit damaged. i still can go on my pc via the awesome tool from Motherboard Asus expres Gate, but cant start Windows 7.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy computer system crashes when I play most video games (only company of heroes and civilization 5 wont crash). I have already ran all the stress tests including memtest 86+, prime95 and furmark without any errors/crashes. I suspected that it was a driver issue so I decided to do a clean reinstall of windows 7 and then install all the drivers. It had absolutely no effect I updated my motherboard and video card BIOS but that didnt help either. I tried disabling ULPS and 2D clocks for my video card but nothing happened. The only critical event that is logged in event viewer is "kernel ID 41" (Its just a notification that my computer was shut off unexpectedly). When the computer crashes, a black screen will appear and the last bit of audio that was playing will get distorted and it will keep on playing(It will make a loud BRRRRR noise).I have to then manually restart the computer and boot back into windows.

I gave Best Buy my Sony VAIO laptop to fix it since I have the three year extended service. All I was getting fixed was a key on my mouse pad. I figured, no biggie.
They replaced my motherboard because the mouse key input was faulty. My computer now shuts off if I do any intensive task. For example, I scanned my computer for viruses with Malwarebytes and it turned off. There are no crash reports, and nothing in the logs to indicate the crash, but I will upload the full report anyway. I also have a CSV file with the temperature readouts (CPU gets up to 88 C, so I think this may have something to do with it, lol, but the temps right at crash were 54 C after climbing to 83 C or 78 C).
If I run any of the Prime95 tests, my laptop crashes fairly quickly.

thread here so i am not sure if i am posting in the right area, but i am having major problem with my pc. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever he prints his laptop freezes. It gets halfway through the print and then the computer freezes. When it freezes it renders the computer totally useless until a restarts.
The print also stops as soon as the computer crashes, even if it had not finished the print. The printer only spews out the paper when he restarts the computer.

I have run virus scan, malwarebytes, all of it and its showing nothing found. I saw a thread from december last year on here with a similar issue were it was suggested the person post the results from a HijackThis System scan i will do the same in my next post. I looked at it but its all jibberish to me. The only thing i can do on my PC is safe mode.

The bluescreen error code is usually Stop 0x0000000A.The reason I am trying to reinstall my .Net framework is because some programs such as Nem's tools fail to launch and instead get an error saying "side by side configuration is incorrect". When I get back, there is the blue screen and then it asks whether I want to reboot as normal. Upon restart it says that Windows closed down unexpectadly etc.I have tried to look at the crash dump files, but I must admit I am not that much closer to understand what the problem is. It happens a few times a day. Could it be related to the HDMI cable that I have recently purchased and occasionally plug in/out during the day in order to watch movies over the TV? These are the specs of my computer and my computer seems to crash or restart my computer while I am playing Minecraft or Sanctum.
A couple of days ago I did something really stupid: I tried to download a game for free by following a tutorial which required me to install a Babylon toolbar from an ad. It didn't work, so I uninstalled all the babylon stuff and scanned my computer with Avira and Ad-aware, they came up with some detections and a hidden object and removed them.After that, I bought the game instead of downloading. However, my computer now randomly freezes when playing and seems slightly slower than before. As long as I'm not gaming, my computer functions normally, but starting the game makes my computer freeze and BSOD every 2 out of 3 times. Also my computer doesn't seem to make any minidumps, even after enabling it via those settings and trying tons of other ways.

I have 64 Bit Windows 7, 4 GB RAM, 2.8 GHz quad core, 1 GB XFX Radeon HD 5670, and use the AVerMedia A188 PCIe Pure ATSC TV Tuner. I've even gone as far as reinstalling Windows 7 with the thought that it might be a 3rd party software issue to no avail.
It does work about 70% of the time, but its really annoying waiting for the computer to restart. Why does this keep happening and what can I do to fix it?
I have just installed a new hard drive to my computer as well as a fresh install of Windows 7,to my surprise after updating everything and installing programs, my computer suddenly hangs and crashes, after time this developed into BSOD,which now constantly happens. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a homebuilt system that I have had for a little over a year now. I am currently having an issue when waking my computer from sleep. When I wake the computer, I can see the machine turn on and start up (LED fans light up) but the monitor stays black. It stays like that and my only option is to do a hard reset.
After resetting the computer, it says its resuming windows and lets me login, but it runs very slow for a while. On my next restart, the computer "checks the disk for consistency", and then after that everything is normal again.
This doesn't happen every time I put it to sleep, but it has been happening a lot lately. I had this issue last year, but it just stopped, and i can't remember if I had done anything to fix it. I did not have this problem again until sometime last week. The only thing I did last week was I installed the new drivers for my video card and uninstalled/reinstalled MSI afterburner.
I have a problem which is that when I play games the screen goes black and then it plays the audio that was playing at that moment quickly and repeatedly for 2 or 3 seconds and then the computer will restart. After the computer restarts it won't work so I have to manually turn off the computer and then turn it back on. This happens on the majority of games that I play.

yet one of them keeps crashing every couple of days. The other one has not had a single problem yet.
I'm providing the 2 crash dumps from the offending PC. If anyone could help us out in assessing the problem, we'd greatly appreciate it as we have absolutely no clue what's gong on currently.
First I'll explain the problem about 6 months ago I had a PSU blow out on me, so I replaced it and all was well for a time when the PC would shut down and then restart without even showing a BSOD, at first it was now and then but gradually got worse. At first I thought it might of been the CPU overheating, I also thought that when the PSU blew it caused damage to the MB. So over a period of time I have ended up replacing all the hardware. For a time it seemed okay but the problem soon returned. (just to note it only shuts down when playing or starting games, I can surf the net or play videos etc without a problem).
My next thought was that it was a software conflict so I have ended up rebuilding a second PC, with a new HDD just incase it was a virus etc, I've loaded Windows 7 (home) 32bit, installed the graphics card (GeForce 560 Ti) with latest Nvidia drivers and a Asus sound card. I then installed Minecraft just as a test game and sure enough it crashes.
