I have been really happy with windows 7 and Live Mail as it allowed me to sync all my emails into one (business1, business2, personal etc etc) but about 1 week ago it started crashing on launch and is refusing to start. I have tried uninstalling via programfiles/windowslive/installer and re-installing and repairing but I am stil unable to launch the program.
Here is the error info I am receiving: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: wlmail.exe Application Version: 15.4.3538.513 Application Timestamp: 4dcdb9d1 Fault Module Name: MSMAIL.DLL Fault Module Version: 15.4.3538.513 Fault Module Timestamp: 4dcdb9f6 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000294b1 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789
I am guessing that there is still Live data which is being stored on my PC even after uninstall, is there anyway to delete such data in the case that it is the cause of the constant crashing?
my friends use Windows 7 and IE 9, but it only works right for them from the administrator's account. From a normal user's account clicking the link in IE 9 would open up the link in a new tab (as normal) and launch the Sopcast software, but would not tune it to the right channel.Under the administrator's account it did initially require 2 or 3 permissions, but as the regular user it doesn't even ask.I tried changing the regular user account to an administrator and reinstalling the software by the new admin, but it still did not work and did not even pop the permissions.Only lowering the UAC all the way to 0 made it work, but upping it again even one notch disabled things again. It never asked for any permissions, like it did under the other account.I searched and found others with somewhat similar issues, but no direct solution.I guess Windows 7 blocks it for the regular user, but how can I authorize it? Make it ask me?Should it have been working or is it something generally blocked, on purpose?
Using only start (or the shell thing), how do I launch the "volume mixer" application so I can control the sound level of my computer?Note: No keyboard, no access to system tray, no questions.
when I update an application which I have in my Quick Launch toolbar, its icon move to the end of the list of icons (as if it were a newly installed program and not one that had simply been updated). This means every time I update, say, Firefox, or Thunderbird, or Seamonkey, etc., I have to go into the Quick Launch toolbar and drag it back to its proper place. Is there any way to address this or is it something that's changed in how Mozilla updates its programs? Ideally (and what used to happen) is that most program icons stayed put after the programs they pointed to were updated.
Recently whenever I restarted my laptop windows stops working. I get the message "The application is not responding. The program may respond again if you wait". I end the proccess and sometimes it reloads (and if it does it just goes throught the same thing again) or just seems to freeze up. I can run the system in safe mode just fine. I have done virus and malware scans to make sure it was not something from that. I also did a system restore to a previous time when it was working fine to no sucess.have done a sfc scan - it found errors but still have the same issue when I try and boot not in safe mode.running AVG scan in safe mode, getting a number of errors on the cmd prompt screen:[CODE]
I purchased Windows 2003 and it is now obsolete. I need to replace with Windows 2007. I am a current job seeker and find Windows 2007 has many changes. Can I turn in my 2003 for an upgrade to 2007?
I can connect my local laptop to a remote desktop using Cisco Any Connect VPN on windows 7. I can use the internet, send emails, work with files on the remote computer. However if I switch back to the local laptop computer and use the internet, send emails, or open files the remote connection closesI get the folowing errorRemote Desktop Connection has stopped workingA problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
I have acer laptop with win 7 Pro. I have hard wire connect to router to access internet, when I disconnect to go wireless I cannot access the internet even-though the open network and sharing says there is internet access. My DNS server is fine other connect thru guest portal no problem.
Additional sw / features in use: Norton security Cisco QuickVPN Windows built-in Offline file use/sync
BSOD usually comes 2-5 minutes after connecting CISCO QuickVPN and using Offline filesync.
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e) This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
At least twice each day i get the BSOD when connecting to Cisco VPN for work. The sever is based in Dubai and i am in Europe. The BSOD only happens when i am connected to VPN Client. It does not happen immediately and i have scanned the laptop numerous times with Eset antivirus and Malwarebytes Anti-malware.

I have 4 desktops, 2 laptops all running Windows 7 Ult. 4 X64, 2 X86. 4 satellite receivers, a WII and 2 PS3's all on line. I have the following setup for my network.I have a Thompson DC476 Docsys 3 plugged into a DR-615 which does the DHCP, which is plugged into a 24 port Cisco Catalyst 2950. Which feeds the rest of the house. Upstairs I have a 4 port Netgear as a dumb switch that does the wireless for the phones and a tablet and the WII.There are no real configs on the Cisco other than PORTFAST has been enabled and all ports are is switchport mode access on the default VLAN.The only way I can get the Homegroup to work is to plug all the PC's into the DR-615 and the Netgear while ensureing the Netgear is plugged into the DR s well. If they (PC's) are connected through the Cisco I loose the Homegroup. I can still see all end devices in Windows and access them as long as I've shared it out.
Our office has an old program that we still need to use when upgrading our PC's to Windows 7. The program will run fine if you start a windows virtual PC and install and run it. However, based on the needs of our office, I need to be able to run Windows XP mode and simply have an icon for our users to click to take them to the application. If I install the program in windows XP mode, and then add a shortcut to the file under all users/start menu, a shortcut is placed in the appropriate place on the windows 7 machine and I can copy that shortcut ot the desktop. The program runs fine until you restart the computer. Once you restart the computer and double click the link on the windows 7 desktop to the program running in windows XP mode, it says:
Cannot start virtual application. The application is blocked from running as a virtual application.
I read some other posts saying to put a new shortcut in the all users/start menu folder. This works, but only until our users restart their computer. The next time the computer is up, the problem happens again. This is not an acceptable solution to have to create a new shortcut for each workstation each time the computer is restarted.
I would like to know if Shrewsoft VPN Client can be installed on Windows 7 (32 Bit) with Checkpoint & Cisco Clients already installed. I have both Checkpoint & Cisco Clients installed on Windows 7, with the respective services set to manual, and both clients are co-existing without any problem. Since I also support Juniper SSG boxes, and since Juniper has NOT YET come out with a client which supports Windows 7, I was wondering if I can use Shrewsoft client instead (which is reported to work fine with Juniper SSG).
Previously I had Vista on which all the 3 - namely Checkpoint, Cisco & Juniper (SafeNet) clients were working beautifully. But Vista being Vista, I had no choice but to upgrade to Windows 7.
The error states:explorer.exe - application error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application. When I click OK, i just have a black screen. I can get the task manager going by hitting control, alt, delete. I've tried to start explorer.exe from the file menu, but get the same error.
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) Click on OK to terminate the application. The only option is to click ok. I am deathly afraid to turn off my computer because my brother recently did and that caused it to freeze at the blue HP startup screen, but thats another thread. I get this error whenever I launch anything. I can't even open up the task manager. I really need help. I don't currently have a way to back up my stuff either but I am working on it. By the way, I don't know that my brother was having the same error message as i was or if he was having any error messages. I use zone alarm full security suite if that helps at all, I don't know if it deleted a registry file or something.
My wife has a new laptop running Windows 7 and has migrated from Xp (which she loved) I have transferred most of her files and she now has a problem. Before on the xp laptop she used to work with Microsoft works Suite 2001that ran Microsoft Works 6.0 and mainly the Picture It part of the suite using the Picture It, Publishing 2001 Set up Design and Art.She still likes this prog as she is very comfortable with it and it does just what she wants it to do. The problem was that when she went to open one of her files it was a php file and tho she has got Office 2007 on her new pc it will not open the file. I tried to install the worksuite 2001 onto the new pc from the original discs that we have and after a while an error comes up unable to load dll file ?? Does this mean it is not compatible and if so can anyone reccomend a (free if possible) program that we can use to open/use the php files
I tried to replace 3 files in the system 32 folder, and must have made a mistake along the way leaving my laptop inaccessible once logged on. The three files were:

Click ok to close the application.explorer.exe - Application error the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
