Suddenly the Pixma IP3500 will not print text. If I open A WORD document and press print, the paper feeds through blank. If I print the test page, it just prints the logo in the upper left corner. If a page has diagram on it, it will print the diagrams but not the text on the page.
Upgraded desktop to 64-bit and discovered that my Canon LiDe80 and Canon PIXMA iP4000 drivers are incompatible. So after some research and not sure how accurate, I read that the professional version would allow more of the 32-bit drivers to work.
I just installed Windows 7 and my printer doesn't seem to work.. Its a Canon pixma MP160.. i guess i have to install the proper drivers.. could someone help me out with this?
Can anyone pint me in the direction for the Canon software for a Canon Pixma IP5200. I want to be able to once again print onto DVDs but cannot. I have aprint driver installed that works, but the Easy print toolbox and CD label print software from Canon won't install.
I have a dell studio with windows 7 64bit, it recognizes my canon pixma mp780 on the wireless network but says to install drivers even though they are already installed. It say- File needed: Printer driver INF for Canon series MP780
Back in the fall when I switched over to Windows 7 Home Premium x64 from Vista Home Premium SP2 x64, I installed the software for my Canon Pixma MX700 multifunctional printer. I used the original Vista driver installer disc, and despite an warning message about a "known compatibility issue" the printer and scanning functions worked fine. I use the Pixma on the LAN via a wired ethernet connection. Worked fine for occasional scanning in November, December, and January. Then for months I had no need to scan anything, just printing over the network with no problems.Last weekend I needed to scan something. I usually just push the scan button on the printer, verify the computer it's going to scan to (it lists them), and away it goes. This time my computer threw an error about the scanner driver saying the scanner wasn't on the network. Huh? If the scanner's not on the network how did the computer know it was trying to send a scan... So I bailed on that and instead used the MP Navigator EX software on the computer. It failed too, giving the "scanner not connected" error, either using Navigator's direct interface or telling it to open the scanner driver which brings up a slightly different interface (when it worked).First I went to the Canon site and d/l'ed all the latest drivers for 7 x64 and installed them. Still get the same errors. Tried setting it up to scan via USB temporary connection. If I install it that way it works, but it's not a long term solution. And it stops working after a reboot. The odd thing is the scanner works over the LAN after I set it up for USB (when using NAvigator, because the scan to lan button on the printer doesn't work of course), again until reboot.
I just wanted to relate my vexing problem and the ultimate solution which I dscovered after half a day, and it's something that Microsoft will probably never admit happens.I installed Windows 7 64 bit OS on my Toshiba Satellite, and could not get my Pixma iP3000 installed. I first tried the disc that came with, but I got messages to the effect that this will not work with my current sysytem. I looked all over the world at Canon download sites and could fine everything BUT the Windows 7 64 bit driver.Everywhere else I got the same tip: Just plug in your printer fresh into a recently re-started computer, and the system should recognize it and install the driver. Well, it attempted to do this the first time, but it notified me that it did not have the driver!Following another tip, I prompted Windows update to have a go. Surprise, it discovered some new updates to install. Lo and Behold, one of them was a Pixma iP3000 driver update! but DAMN, that one update failed to install, and after failing a retry it just would NOT attempt it again. The message was something to the effect of, "We decided you don't need that."The solution: I started from scratch. I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit after deleting the partition. I ran the first run of Windows update. Before installing anything else, I turned on and connected my printer. Again, it said, "Yes, we see this is a Pixma iP3000, but we don't have the driver." Then, keeping the device connected, I did Windows Update again, and several updates, including the Pixma iP3000 driver update, appeared. It installed correctly this time.
I have Windows 7 (7000) installed. Everything working except Windows 7 did not recognize my Canon Pixma iP8500 printer. OK under Vista. I manually selected a driver for Canon Pixma Pro 9500 and then re-configured the printer as an 8500 via the "advanced" tab in printer properties. Printing seems to be OK, but the Canon status monitor application can't seem to talk to the printer over the USB interface. Any ideas?
Is it yet known if Windows 7 RTM has the Canon PIXMA MX860 driver? My aunt bought a computer with a free upgrade to Windows 7 after October 22, and wanted to buy this printer but did not know the compatibility with Windows 7...
I have windows 7 build 7100..I have a Canon Pixma MP 150 printer. I want to share the printer with my new Macbook Pro with Mac OS X Leopard through my D-Link wireless router. I am totally new to the Mac and don't know my way around yet,but would still like any help anyone can give me.
My mx870 is showing 6A80 Printer Error message. I turned power off and on like it suggested, but that did not fix the problem. It also said to check manual, if that doesn't work but there is nothing in manual about 6A80.
I bought a MG5450 2 days ago and began setting it up yesterday however stumbled across an issue where the printer driver would not install regardless of the compatibility setting. Being as it's a newly released printer I thought the drivers would be up to date and new, however I think there may be a issue with NT 4.0 driver policy as when I try to install the drivers through the device manager, it gives me that message that there's a policy in place stopping me.
Windows update always fails when trying to install the printer, however the scanner, and software included all work fine. I can scan images on wirelessly and have them saved on my computer without an issue, however there is no way to print. I have tried disabling the policing through the 'MSC' and adding a local group policy or something along those lines. However none of this has worked. How can I get the driver to install or disable the policy to allow the printer to be installed. Tried installation of the drivers both through wireless and wired, both come to the same outcome.
I have Quicken 99, Windows 7, and a Canon Pixma MP 600 printer. Quicken cannot activate the printer to print Quicken reports. All I can do is print screens using Screen Saver which is very lacking in desired results.
My system is a windows 7 x64. it is connected via LAN cable to my wifi router (also used for internet). Prior to installing Canon Pixma MG5370 apps and driver, the windows works fine.My Canon printer is connected via WIFI to my router so in essence, I print through my router to the printer. No errors were encountered during the installation process. After all these, I noted that my windows will not shutdown anymore. After clicking shutdown, it will reach the screen where it shows "Shutting down" and a spinning disc like icon. and this is where it will remain and not power off at all.ard disk Led not blinking during this time. I had to do a HARD FORCE shutdown.

I just bought a new ASUS computer with Windows 7. I have a Macbook Pro and would like to transfer my photos and music onto my new computer. I have 2 external hard drives that work perfectly fine on my mac as well as other PCs. When I plug either of my external hard drives in they are recognized in device manager and say they are working properly but are not recognized in disk manager or under my computer...
I have a hp pavilion dv9700 running windows 7 home premium, and the atheros wireless device keeps disapearing out of the device manager and stops working sometimes it works again if i reboot ,i have tried a replacement but the same happens.

Oh and is it appropriate for me to use this topic to ask another question regarding explorer.exe as while i am inside a folder i delete (by choosing delete from the context menu in the tree view) while inside that folder on this particular laptop PC explorer. always crashes, collect information, sends it and restarts explorer. I have not experienced this problem on any other pc running any version of windows 7, oh and the same happened with build 7264 x32 and the current install of build 7600 x64.
Have recently purchased a small usb inspection snake camera with led light and when testing it plugged it into two desktops computers (one xp pro not sure of the other as it was a network work computer) It automatically loaded the drivers and brought up a screen automatically with the realtime image.(no driver disc came with it). However plugging into my windows 7 64bit sony laptop it signals a connection beep, loaded drivers automatically but wouldn't open or show up on my computer disc manager as an external usb source to click on. It does however show up on device manager as a usb camera and when I unplug and replug in it disappears and reappears so I know I have the right camera (not the lap top webcam inbuilt one that shows USB 2 Camera). Have tried updating drivers automatically and uninstalling it etc. Need it to work on the lap top so it can act as the movable screen for it?
