Getting Media Center To Display Photos Showing The Individual Photos Contents Of Each Folder?

Nov 18, 2011

I have a problem getting Media Center to display my Photos showing the individual photos contents of each folder.I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with all updates. My MEDIA (movies, music & photos) are on a separate hdd (M). Each of the media formats has it's own folder on the M drive, Movies, Music & Photos. I have no problem with the movies or the music. However, when I choose "pictures" in Windows Media Center only the individual photos folders are shown....no photos are shown in these folders. I see the individual folders but no contents. I have set up "Libraries" on the C: drive; Music, Video & Photos. When I click on photos in the "Libraries" all the photos folders are show each with it's own photos. I have "Shared" these libraries as well as each folder on the Media drive M. The format of the individual photos is jpg. I have run SFC/Scannow.

I have a 4 GB flash card which i used on my mobile phone. It was out of my phone for about two weeks; during this time it saw no physical harm. Now when i put it back in my cell phone, it asks me for "memory card password" which i have no idea of and on the mobile's device manager it shows the memory card to be "locked".When i put it on the computer with my memory card reader even windows failed to open it.Attempts to troubleshoot it via windows failed and Recuva failed to scan it too.

Padlocks On Photos On Old Login, New Login Cannot View Photos At All

May 16, 2012

I've been using my parents computer for the last few months and decided to make my own user/log-in the other day. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.

How To Recover Photos

Sep 10, 2011

a family member has recently asked for my help in finding some photos they have lost. Basically, what happened was; they attatched their mobile Phone via USB, then opened up the photos from the phones storage in windows explorer, then cut them, and got sidetracked into some other work, and whilst in a rush they shut down the laptop without pasting the photos anywhere, they cannot find the photos on the laptop or the phone's Internal storage, I will pay a visit soon as the pictures are important as they are of their 11 week old daughter, I will have a deeper search, but does anyone have any suggestions for me to try?

Graphics Driver Has Failed And Recovered?

Feb 24, 2011

I've posted on these forums about this problem before, it is one I've been truggling with for a long time.I run a game, and at some point during the game will freeze momentarily, minimize and I'll get the 'Graphics driver has failed and has recovered' error. Now, apart from the RAM and CPU, which both have been tested, every single component in my case has been replaced and tested thoroughly not just by me, but by the people in a computer store nearby who had been consulting me about the problem. They couldn't find any faults with the hardware and since it was a fresh installation of Windows 7, that didn't seem to be the problem either.Nevertheless, after a week of testing several different options they found nothing.

I've now installed a Windows XP dualboot and was surprised to see that the problem doesn't occur on XP.All hardware is completely Windows 7 approved.Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this and how I might stop it from happening? It's a gaming rig that I invested quite a bit in, and it really feels like a waste having to stick with Dx9.

Windows 7 Has Recovered From An Unexpected Shut Down?

Oct 27, 2010

I am receiving the message that my computer has recently recovered from an unexpected shutdown. Actually it is happening on two of my PCs that are both running Windows 7 and Office 2007. Both are aslo running Avast for virus protection. One PC was purchased about 3 months ago and the other is over 3 years old so I do not believe this is a driver issue. The problem began on both machines immediately after each received the latest updates from Microsoft although they received them on different days. These updates contained 16 patches that were mostly critical security updates and none contained driver updates. The attached dump files are from the newer of the two PCs.

Nvlddmkm.sys Stopped Responding But Has Recovered?

Feb 11, 2009

This annoying vista bug persist on my copy of Windows 7 Beta. The screen freezes, goes black, restores - starts showing choppy graphics and frequently gives me a BSOD.

My setup : AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4 4 Gig RAM Gigabyte GeForce 8600 GT 512Mb w SilentPipe.450W PSU, but I can replace it with a 1kW PSU at any time if needed. This error has been giving me a VERY hard time on vista, SP1 nor any patches nor file swapping didn't help - it is why I've switched to Windows7 - I couldn't get rid of it no matter what - and now it's back, are there any workarounds to this?

Recovered Files From Norton 360 Not Working

Feb 6, 2012

Alright, so this is kind of complicated. I really hope someone can help me. This weekend, I was unable to login to Windows. When it got to the login page, I got no response from my keyboard or mouse. I tried 3 system restore points, none of which worked, so I had to go with a full system recovery which returned my computer to factory settings. I use Norton 360 so I had all of my files backed up to their online storage. When I went through the computer set-up, it set up a profile for me under the name jmdunn2. When I recovered my files from Norton, it said that it restored them to the original location, but that location was now under the C:/Users/owner tab. I want to just be able to move these files into the C:/Users/jmdunn2 tab, but when I right-click, I am not given the "Move to" or "Copy to" options. It seems like they're all locked into place somehow.
