For the first few weeks of using Windows 7 RC it seemed to work fine, but a few days ago the IR Receiver won't change the channel on my set top box (the IR booster doesn't do anything) I can't figure out what is wrong.
is it possible to change an audio output with hot keys?for eg to play music through my headphones i use my xfi elite sound card and when i use my hifi speakers i use my onboard cards spdif out,to do this at the moment i have to go into playback devices and change default play back device, is there a way i can use say ctrl+alt+Q to do this?
recently it came to my notice that i was running my RAM on single channel mode (2x2gb) on my dh67bl mobo. i saw it in cpu z and it showed single channel.
So, i changed my ram and placed it in identical slots and now the Cpu z shows dual channel RAM. but i don't see any visible difference in performance.
is there any performance difference in running the RAM in dual channel / single channel?

I have read through the forum, but I do not think that anyone has encountered the same problem that I have. I have a Yamaha RX-V2065 AV receiver that is connected wirelessly to my laptop, a Sony Vaio F series with 64 bit Windows 7 using the Intel Core I7 with 6GB RAM and 500 GB harddrive. This allows my home stereo system to play music via WMP.The problem is that the Yamaha can only read the music via WMP 12 that is stored on the internal hard drive of the laptop. The Yamaha cannot read any music stored on the external hard drive. WMP 12 has no problem accessing the music on both the internal and external hard drives - in other words, I can listen to music directly on the laptop with WMP 12 from the external hard drive. The obvious solution is to store everything on the internal drive, but this is not an option since this would use up all the storage on the laptop and would also be insufficient for all the music.Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? The network obviously works and the Yamaha can access WMP 12, but there seems to be some firewall between the Yamaha and the external hard drive.I know this setup works, because it worked about a month ago with my old computer which was an XP using WMP 11. Sadly, that computer is no more.I seem to be locked in to using WMP since that is what the Yamaha is set up for. I have not been able to find anything regarding this problem by searching via Yamaha. Also, I seem to be having the same problem as some others in that the final few seconds of songs are cut off. Has anyone found a solution yet? The laptop should have enough juice for this to not be a problem - 64 bit Windows 7, Intel Core I7, 6 GB RAM, and 500 GB hard drive. Again, as with the old XP using WMP 11, this was not a problem and that computer had less juice than this new laptop.
Prior to upgrading to Windows 7, I used the Juice podcast receiver. I can't get it to work in 7 and I also can't seem to get any other podcast receiver to work. Is there one that works (other than itunes - I need something that will sync with Media Player)?
Laptop connected to TV through HDMI.TV connected to receiver through optical cable. It has always worked this way, I always had surround sound and all. Yesterday my mother disconnected both the HDMI & optical cables for freaking reason, now that I connected them back on, I'm only getting 2.0 sound through my receiver. I don't know what to try next, this has been an issue before but I always somehow managed to fix it but now it really gets the better of me.I was so planning on watching a few movies tonight but without my surround sound, I be better off to bed.
i have a toshiba L750 1e8 and i want to connect it to my sony av recever,i bought an optical cable and the little adapter so i can put one end of the cable in to the headphone jack. i got it all conected up but no sound comes out the av recever.i dont know if you cant do it this way or if there is some settings in the computer i need too change
I have something which connects to my TV via HDMI, but in order to be able to use it I have to switch inputs on my TV. Is there something I can download which will allow me to use this device in Windows through the same HDMI connection?
I just bought a Wireless Gaming Receiver and the disc included was broken. The device appears to work, but I don't have a driver for it. It says on the package that it is compatible with Windows 7, but I cannot find a driver download online.
I have used the drivers who you can download ad this link Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: wireless.rar(they are the same of the cd). There is no problem to install the software Xbox360_64Eng.exe, but I don't know how to install the drivers for the receiver, I try to do it manually, but in all the folders of the cd seems there aren't the right drivers.
So Windows 8 is about to launch, yet Windows 7 64bit still won't work with my TomTom bluetooth GPS receiver! Surely TomTom or Microsoft could have come up with something by now!
Before I just recently went to Win7, on XP I was piping audio out through an S/PDIF adapter mini-card to my HT receiver in the next room. On Win7, even though audio on the pc is just fine on it's own stereo speakers, the receiver doesn't get a signal from the pc. No wiring has changed, nothing hardware, only the OS AND the sound driver. On XP, with my ASUS mobo, I was using the ASUS recommended Realtek sound driver. On Win7 I'm using Micrsoft's built-n High Definition Audio driver. So I tried installing the latest Realtek driver. Not only still no sound to the receiver but also no sound on Skype. Unacceptable, so I uninstalled the Realtek and at least Skype works.

I connected my computer to my monitor via hdmi but there is no sound coming from my monitor. i updated all drivers and even tryed to connect the monitor to a reciever from the head phone jacks. i get sound from my computer to the reciever that way byt not thru the monitor. monitor is e2370 lg and my graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 5450.
i tried to install my xbox360 wireless reciever on my windows 7 64 bit quad core desktop went throught the hole device manager update drivers microsoft xbox common control class but the only option there is xbox 360 common control theres no wireless options there went to microsoft and downloaded xbox accessorys 1.2 installed and still the same problem.
I do use a online USB foot pedal that is used for transcription. I have two plugs powering the system, one for the monitor and the other to the CPU, connected to a extension cord with 5 sockets. To the rest of the sockets I had my DTH (digital tv receiver) and a small tv connected. With this setup, when I am working with my footpedal, it works for 1/2 an hour with proper play, rewind, and forward controls. After 1/2 an hour, it starts acting weird and begins to control itself in that it plays stops rewinds continuously by itself making it difficult for me. At first I thought it is driver issue and reinstalled and installed and tried all methods. I do get lot of errors at such times if I change the USB port for the pedal during the times of this issue. However, the moment I switch the DTH off from the power source. It all seemed to be working fine again without any issue.
Considering that, I thought it may be due to some voltage problem with distribution of power and I connected the DTH set seperately out to an entirely different AC wall socket but same room. Again, for the first half an hour the pedal controls works fine, and then the same thing happens and the moment I switch the DTH receiver off, its all back to normal.
I have a official xbox wireless receiver for windows and i cant get it to connect to the controller. I have Windows 7 Home Premuim x64 Bit Service Pack 1. I just bought the Xbox 360 wireless controller for windows which comes with a receiver to play on the pc. When I got it I just plugged in the receiver and connected the controller it came with and it worked fine just after using for a while, did it stop connecting to the controller and after that i wouldn't connect anymore so I installed the software that it came with update the driver but still it won't connect then I unistalled the driver and software restarted the computer installed everything again and still I can't get the controller to sync with the receiver. Even tried This but I cant install the different driver because it says driver has already been installed and is up to date:
Right click on Computer Go to Properties Click on Device Manager Right click on the Unidentified Device Go to Properties Go to the Drive tab Click on Update Driver Browse my computer for driver software Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer Microsoft Common Controller for Window Class ---Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009]
When building my Hifi mancave, I was smart enough to wire it for Cat6, etc, but not smart enough to put a few lines of cat 6 into my HTPC jack. So I only have 1 cat6 line into my computer area. My new receiver (Onkyo TX-NR809) has a ethernet port in it, which enables internet radio, media sharing, playing, firmware updating, etc. Being a techy guy I got another netcard and put it in my computer and I want to share internet to the receiver via LAN2.
I've been scouring the internet trying to figure out how to do this with Windows 7x64 to whatever system (probably linux based?). I've seen how to do it with Windows 7&XP, XP&XP, Windows 7&7 linux & Windows, and they all use some sort of "brige internet connection" or something like that, which doesn't apply to my situation. Will someone just tell me what IP stuffs to use for the following:
trying to find a working driver for it on windows 7. My little 3 year old loving beast snapped my cd in half and i don't know where i got the product from. on the adapter it says 4-ch usb dvr.
I may want to up the memory on my machine from 1 GB to 2 GB which is the mainboard's maximum. It is an MS-7211 from MSI. Here is the only thing the manual says about memory:

• Supports up to 2GB PC3200 (DDR400) SDRAMs.
• Supports 2.5v DDR SDRAM.
I want to get dual channel ram. Can anyone tell me if they know it is guaranteed to work? Or do you need a special motherboard for dual channel?
I know I should pick channels 1,6,or 11 but not having any device other then my ps3 I cant run a channel scanner. I have no idea what my neighbors wifi's channels are should I just leave my routers channel on auto as it is always changing wifi channels my guess it's got a built in scanner I don't know if thats true it's a cheep belkin N150 or should I just go for a shot in the dark and pick one of the 3 channels?
1) On Lock: Execute the following batch: Code: TASKKILL /F /IM "pnamain.exe"
TASKKILL /F /IM "Receiver.exe TASKKILL /F /IM "WFICA32.EXE" This kills the open Citrix session and shuts down all citrix programs.
2) On Unlock: Reconnect the Citrix Session and open all programs via this batch: Code: start "" "C:Program FilesCitrixICA Clientpnamain.exe" /connect start "" "C:Program FilesCitrixICA ClientReceiverReceiver.exe" If i execute the 2 batch-files manually, everything works perfect. If they are run via the scheduled tasks, the locking works perfectly, but the unlocking behaves as following: pnamain.exe is started Receiver.exe is NOT started EDIT: The task is marked as 'finished without problems' I tried to execute this task with different settings... same problem all the time The Task is executed with the Admin-Account, so this should not be the problem.
