Samsung Laptop Mousepad Too Sensitive - How To Adjust Settings
Mar 24, 2012My Samsung laptop's mousepad is so sensitive that I can just barely brush against it and it takes me to who-knows-where, and it's extremely aggravating. I can't find anywhere in the mouse settings to adjust the mousepad - just the mouse pointer and hardware.

Jul 20, 2009I am having problems when I try and apply my Printer to be shared in windows 7 I get error message saying that printer settings could not be saved. 0x000006d9. I have reinstalled the drivers and rebooted the pc and I am logged on as an Admin but it still wont work.
I am using Windows 7 Build 7100.
Any ideas on how I can fix this annoying problem.
Windows 7 64bit Printer Settings?
Jul 6, 2011I am running Windows7 64 bit which runs excellent, solid like a rock. The problem I have is it horrible when it comes to getting a printer to work. I have a KODAK ESP5250 all in one printer. I can print test pages fine but when I try to print from IE, Google Chrome, and note pad I get no response. When I click on printer properties location is blank.

Jan 21, 2009I installed the Windows 7 beta yesterday and so far have been pretty impressed. I do have one gripe and was wondering if anyone on here has a similar problem (or better yet a solution ).
My printer, an HP All in one 1510, installs fine. The drivers are downloaded on windows update and the printer shows up in the devices center and I can print to it.
The problem is that a number of the settings that I could control under "Printer Preferences" are gone. I print out a lot of documents and so I usually have my printer on its "fast draft" setting. I tried installing the HP drivers on the website and nothing seems to change.
Anyone else having this issue? Anyone have any advice on trying to get all the settings there?
Printer Settings Are Lost After Logoff With Windows 7 Roaming Profile?
Jun 2, 2011I have a user that has a problem with the printer settings being reset every time she logs in to one PC. She has a Win7 Roaming profile. Both PCs are running Win7. It works fine on her PC, but when she roams to the front desk the label printer always has the wrong paper type. We can change the paper type and it works fine the rest of that session, but the next time she logs into this PC it is the wrong paper type again. The label printers are identical and installed locally at each PC.

Feb 10, 2013I am running Windows 7 and yesterday my wife bought an HP 3512 printer. It has wireless capabilities, so she thought it would be nice to be able to print from other computers or tablets or phones in our house.I originally had issues even getting it to connect via wireless but it is now connected to my router, has an IP address, and if I log into my router, I see its connection. The printer works fine if I have it plugged in via USB. But as soon as I unplug the cable, the printer goes offline. Now, I assumed that by wireless printer, that meant I would not even need it hooked up to my desktop. Maybe I am wrong on that though.But my main issue is I cannot get the printer shared with the homegroup. If I run the printer troubleshooting, it even tells me that the printer is not shared with the homegroup and I should try to have it shard as administrator. So I click that box then it tells me it found but could not fix the issue. It's still not shared. If I go to the printer, go to properties, then sharing, if I try to click share and apply changes, I get an error saying "printer settings could not be saved. error code (0x0000000001) or something. It simply will not go onto the homegroup. If I add it to the homegroup to be shared, would that allow me to move the printer off of my desk and unplug the USB and still be able to print?Also, still regarding Homegroups. My computer is connected via wire to my FIOS router. A laptop in the other room however, connects wireless. They somehow end up in different networks and cannot join the same Homegroup. Both run Windows 7. I have looked and cannot find why they would be on different networks. They were not always this way, I use to be able to see the laptop on my desktop but no longer can.

Feb 21, 2011But in the last couple months, once in a blue moon I couldn't change my screen brightness, and now in the last couple days it's gotten a whole lot worse. Usually, I can't change brightness either via my 'fn -/+' hotkeys or via the actual brightness slider in the power panel. A full reboot or simple hibernation then reboot both let me change brightness again. But the last couple days, restarting the computer just puts the brightness on either fully dimmed or fully bright, and I still can't change it.
This is an HP G60 laptop, and I've had windows seven for a year on it. Like I said above it only started a couple months ago then got worse this week, and what I've found on google so far was all for newly-updated-to-seven issues. My drivers all seem to be up to date according to the windows update driver function.

Do I have to give the screen back to the company or I could adjust the color. the new screen is LG for example the yahoo messenger windows look reddesh Violet on any computer, but on my new laptop screen look blu Violet. Dec 29, 2011So here is my problem. I have an Acer Aspire 4540 laptop that I recently repaired after laying in my closet with a broken display for some time. So I took it to a repair center and got my new 14' LED display installed. Everything on my laptop is working fine, even my screen is working fine. The only issue I've noticed is that when I try to increase or decrease my screen brightness it cycles between the max and min settings rather than dimming or brightening respectively.
Now, I know I've had this issue before but I can't remember if it was already like this before the screen broke. I have tried rolling back, uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers several times yet the issue is still there.
Im running on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD4200.
I know this is a small issue but I need to fix it since I spend a lot of time in front of my laptop.
Problem Adjust Screen Resolutions
Oct 30, 2009On my old dell inspiron 8600, after I installed Windows 7 ultimate and update the video driver, I can adjust the highest screen resolution to 1920 x 1200.
but everytime when I restart the laptop, it will go back to 1280 x 1024
I will need to manually adjust that back.
Does anyone know how to fix that problem?
My laptop is using NVIDIA Geforce FX Go5200 card.

Jan 15, 2013I have xps m2010, it uses notebook graphic mobility radeon x1800. the card is so old that many of the recent GPU software can't seem to read it properly. GPUz was able to see core/memory clock and memory but unable to see temperature or voltage.
GPU meter/PC meter just fails to see it at all, not supported it seems, same goes for GPU monitor or GPU observer, cant see it.
however temperature shows up in Hwinfo but no voltage either. I was able to download ATItool and able to change it's core/memory clock speed but it doesn't have voltage control.
what I want to do is for it to run at a lower VID/clock when idle, something like CPU speedstep or nVidia powermizer. when idle, lower voltage, temp and clock speed, when used, back to highest etc.

Nov 28, 2011I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop. Prior to formatting, the mouse was working PERFECTLY. After formatting, the mouse is acting much differently. I am using the Synaptics software just as I was before I reinstalled Windows 7, and the mouse pad is MUCH more sensitive than it used to be when my palm hits it. If I type anything in the QWERTY row, my palm never fails to tap the mousepad and it screws everything up (you know how it goes).
I've gone into the Synaptics settings and changed palm check sensitivity and everything else on there that I think would help, and nothing does.
