Mar 16, 2009Do any of creative's drivers work with this build? I can't seem to get any sound.
View 6 RepliesDo any of creative's drivers work with this build? I can't seem to get any sound.
View 6 RepliesThis is only occuring whilst using IE8, usually opening a new tab or clicking a link.....
Any ideas??
System spec is...
Processor: Intel Core2Duo T8300 (2.4Ghz) Chipset: Intel 965 Express (800Mhz FSB) (Inc: onboard 965 graphics) Memory: 2Gb OCZ PC2-6400 Network: Atheros AR5007EG (802.11g)
Is it possible to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit, I reckon the answer is no, due to the architecture change ?
Also if I was to change from 32 bit to 64 bit, what - In laymans terms - would I notice different?
All my hardware is fine, and I have 4gb RAM.
1. Is it Possible
2. Whats the Main Difference I will see.
Im running build 7057 on my Asus G50vt-X1 laptop and for some reason when I go to shutdown it will freeze on the shutdown background and not shut down. I'm not quite sure why. I have manually changed the logon and shutdown backgrounds via a regedit but it wouldn't complete the shutdown long before that. Any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs this okay? Has anyone done this? I read some problems in general when upgrading one version of Windows 7 to another, but is this common?
View 9 Replies View RelatedCan someone confirm that it's a general problem or have I just got a bad D/L.
If I try and UPGRADE from Windows 7 build 7048 X-64 to Build 7057 X-64 it starts OK but after a while (during the expanding files stage) I get error -- some necessary files for installation cannot be copied ??
Clean install seem to wok.
HA1 and checksums of my iso seem correct.
Actually upgrading from a beta to another beta is not a goood idea anyway but I want to make sure that I haven't got a bad D/L before I try an upgrade from a Vista installation.
when i right click "computer" and then choose "manage" i get the following error:
i went to the specified folder and the file opens OK from there.
also it's associated properly in the default programs control panel.
i must mention the i upgraded to this build from build 7000.
I've upgraded windows 7 from build 7000 to build 7057 (totall reinstall not just upgraded). My pc is connected to the TV (for movies and such), when the computer boots both displays work fine. After logon however I cannot get the second display to work. I can expand them all I want but, it simply won't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you really dislike the pale blue logon screen with that ridiculous "Peace Dove" (ZAP it someone) please then GOOD news.
Stardocks LOGONSTUDIO works on both X-86 and x-64 versions of Windows 7 including build 7057 (which is the one with the hideous Dove on it and the pale blue insipid colour).
Whilst the supplied screens aren't very adventurous you can download others or "Roll your Own".
Maybe we should have a competition here -- It's a bit difficult to post the image as one hasn't logged in yet --so you can't capture the screen.
I might have a go by using a VM and then capturing the Virtual Machine image from the Host OS.
After I upgrade Windows 7 from build 7022 to 7057 my startup now is really slow. I see boost-screen 4 minutes. Restart was 405 sec. I removed unnecessary services, startup programs, defarg my registry, did a clean install, but nothing of that works.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSeen this enough here and elsewhere with people not knowing or understanding the differences between the different cards. For example have seen too many instances of someone recommending regular X-Fi drivers with the Xtreme Audio. With that said here we go,
1. Audigy SE/LS/Value, X-Fi Xtreme Audio and the Sound Blaster 24 bit
All of these cards are virtually identical hardware-wise, and for the most part the drivers are interchangeable. The only thing the Xtreme Audio has over the others is that it gets to use some of the X-Fi software (and supports Entertainment mode only). Drivers for all of these cards can be found on Creatives support pages,

the Audigy and Live 24 bit can be found by using the "If your product is not listed above, please click here." link at the bottom of the page. Alternatively you can also try/use the Daniel_k package,

that has been modified to work with all the above cards (single installer and driver) as well as return the use of some of the applications that used to work in XP (and Vista if the card was bought recently enough and came with Vista drivers on the CD).
2. The Audigy 1, 2 (all, including the 2 Value) and 4 series. These cards again all use the same driver and can be found through the saem link as above. And again there is also the Daniel_K driver set,

3. Original X-Fi series and the new Titanium series. Again latest drivers as well as some of the applications can be found on Creative's site, as well as the daniel_K set,

Again like the regular Audigy drivers, these will not work with the Xtreme Audio.
4. That leaves the original SB Live series of cards. There is not now and never will be any support for these cards from Creative, and I really wouldn't expect them too considering most of these cards are from the Windows 95/98 era. For anyone with one of these cards the only option you really have (applies to Vista as well) is yet another Daniel_K modified driver set,

Creative SoundBlaster 5.1, got a problem installing with driver, any solution? i check the creative site, they don't seem to have an installer for my sound card?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had noticed that a lot of people first had sound issues with their Creative X-fi soundcards. Most of them sorted it out by running the Creative drivers in Vista compatibility mode, or by installing the support pack released by a member on the Creative support forums.
The problem for me is that when I do a fresh install the drivers (either the official or the support pack) I can hear sound properly from the speakers before the computer restarts. However once I restart to complete the driver installation, the sound is gone once Windows loads again.
If I do an uninstall of the drivers from device manager the sound comes back once again, but once I restart it is gone again.
I can't explain this weird behavior but think somehow Windows is overwriting the drivers after a restart. I'm just wondering if anyone hear knows why this is happening the way it is?
I currently have a Creative X-fi Xtremegamer fatality pro, and 4GB ram. I also have a leadtek winfast pvr 2000 which installed properly and works fine (aside from no audio) so i'm wondering if that might be conflicting some how.
I need crack for Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs old as Creative Extigy external sound device is it was easy to install and set up in Windows 7 by using compatible with XP and the latest old drivers Creative has along with their player. I have just acquired a creative Audigy 2 Platinum Pro (Model SB0290) from a friend, however Windows can't detect it so I can't install the driver. In device manager a device called Multimedia Audio Controller shows up under Other Devices.

No sound
Specs:
soundcard; Creative Labs CT4810
cpu; AMD Athlon 64 3000+
memory; 1.5gb
graphics; ATI Radeon xxxx series
When i downloaded the drivers for CT4810, it automatically installed some Realtek stuff. In control panel Realtek Digital Output is selected as default device (Realtek AC'97 Audio).
i hav dual boot with Windows 7 64-bit ultimate RC and win XP..... my windows 7 does not detect my sound card. when i try to install any drivers , i get a msg "Setup is unable to detect any supported product on ur system" [i tried many drivers]..In the Device manager, drivers for "Multimedia Audio Controller" & "PCI Simple communication controller" are not installed.. but no issues with win XP.
Motherboard- intel Dg33tl - BQTL81000ES
Sound Card - Creative Sound Blaster 5.1
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 Ghz
Speaker - Creative Sbs A500
basically i just built myself a new computer and installed Windows 7 HP 64 bit
my sound card is a creative sound blaster audigy 7.1 se, i have installed the drivers and in device manager it picks up the sound card
but when i try to access the eax settings or anything in that part it says "the audio device supported by this application is not detected.
also when i have my 5.1 set up plugged into the sound card all i get when i switch the speakers on is like a constant buzzing sound.
While playing a game, listening to music, talking on ventrilo my audio starts getting distorted. The best description I can think of is it sounds like a metallic freaky sound. It last for a minute or so and then it starts to clear up and returns to normal. This happens a couple times per day and appears to be more prevalent when using multiple apps. I have uninstalled and installed the lastest creative drivers as well as trying Daniel K's driver. I also have reverted to the windows default driver.
They all do the same thing. Windows gives me a message saying that the driver is experiencing problems and it asks me if I want to disable it. I do not have any issues with the onbard audio when I enable it. I prefer to get the soundlblaster working properly since the sound is alot better IMO when it works.
Recently I bought the logitech Z-5500, along with a lot of cables.
I want to hook up 2 speaker sets to my Audigy LS, my standard speakers and the Z-5500. I connected the standard speakers with the 3 normal 3.5mm jacks. However now I want to connect my Z-5500 to my sound card using the digital input (I/O), I am doing this via a 3.5mm jack to Toslink (optical) and that Toslink cable goes into my Z-5500. Well the problem I am having at the moment is this:
a) Are the creative drivers screwing with my sound?
b) My set up is wrong and I need another approach.
I definitely hope it's a) because I don't want to buy other cables and wasted 16 euro's on this one >.<. Anyways I hope someone can help me with this.
After installing Windows 7 - 64 bit 7077
my sound is somehow distorted (and not clear).
I have
Creative SB - Live! Value , PCI
I checked on creative website, and I installed the following
SBL_PC64DRVBETA_LB_2_03_0005.exe
LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe
Same thing!
I saw that windows update installed and updated 2-3 times the driver but still the same thing.
Also at one point the sound stops completely.
Then if I go to :
Sound - Playback - Speakers (of the creative device) - Properties - Custom
Then uncheck and check "Digital Output only" the sound is back for a bit.
For now Im working with an older C-Media 8738 card wich had good drivers on its website and works for now.
It has another problem - if I click on the icon of C-Media software in the system tray it freezes.
From this icon I can switch between 2 and 4 speakers etc etc
For now I do not click on this icon ...
I had a problem loading a creative sound card. Now I need to close the question but don't know how.Uninstalled almost all Creative Drivers with Add and Remove programs. One wouldn't uninstall:Creative Consol Launcher Product Version 2.61.Restarted Computer and tried again but it wouldn't uninstall, when I checked the size of the file there was no size there. To finish I checked for Creative Technology Limited files in Uninstall or change a program and apart from the Consol Launcher there weren't any. Next I switched the computer off, plugged in the Creative XFi sound card and restarted. When it started it said in the bottom right hand corner it had found the FXi and the device software had been successfully installed.I downloaded the three files in your email, restarting after every file. When I downloaded the Creative Console Launcher it overwrote the old version that wouldn't uninstall, at the end when I restarted for the final time Windows 7 had recognized it.The answer to the problem after uninstalling all of the Creative files then doing a "Clean Boot". The clean boot was quite easy to do.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an asus A8n-sli board with the Nforce4 chipset. I have creative x-fi xtreme music installed on the board and the sound works fine in XP.
The issue is that the when I try to install the drivers it keeps telling me that there is no compatible hardware installed. In device manager it shows an audio device but no available info for it. I tried the reinstall method and moving it from one slot to the other.
I am running 4 gb of ram, Windows 7 64bit and do have the on-board audio turned off via the bios.
I have tried installing drivers for the nforce4 chip-set but they will not work, Is that the issue? Are there a compatible set for this, I have tried the xp64 and vista 64 drivers but with no luck.
im running windows 7 (7100) 32 bit.
Ive got Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio in, ive downloaded the xp, vista and 7 beta drivers from creative, they either say driver version not found OR they say the device isn't plugged in properly, which it is having run it with xp. The only thing i don't have is the disk anymore.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've installed Windows 7 on my desktop with dual boot to Vista. Everything's been working fine but I haven't been able to properly setup my sound-card to function properly. As of now, I currently have no sound and I've been through many different drivers from the Creative website.
I've also tried running them in compatibility mode with Windows Vista and Windows XP SP3.
I am currently getting this error message under the "Device Status" In Device Manager, "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)".
Windows has been automatically installing the driver version 5.12.1.2004 dated June 13 2007.
Can anyone please help me with this issue? It is currently ruining my Windows 7 experience!

My problem is that i don't get any bass out of my subwoofer, my system (as i configurate) recognizes my subwoofer, but as soon as i listen to music there's no sound coming out of it!
My other speakers work, but only the bass is missing!
I wanted to install the console launcher from CD, but in Setup windows said "couldn't find any compatible hardware. Setup will be closed"
But i do not find any latest console launcher in Creative technical support, that's compatible with my Live 24 bit soundcard.
I started this thread, because i couldn't contact any other user who's problem was solved .
