Ok, so after I connect my bluetooth headphones to the computer and start listening to music they cut out and stop working after about 10 or so seconds. Any ideas where i should go with this?
View 1 RepliesI guess I should start by saying I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x86.I got a pair of LG HBS700 Bluetooth Headphones for Christmas and couldn't wait to pair them up to my Windows 7 Home Theater PC so I could watch movies after my wife has gone to bed w/o disturbing her.My first problem was I had no bluetooth adapter for the HTPC so I went and purchased a Targus Bluetooth 4.0 Bluetooth Adapter.Thought I had it all squared away. I installed the latest drivers for the Bluetooth Adapter I had purchased and was on my merry way.Went to the control panel, choose to add a bluetooth device after putting the headset in pairing mode and much to my dismay, Windows 7 can't seem to find the headset... I know the head set works because I'm able to pair it with my cell phone.

Now all the sudden without my having changed anything, I get no sound out of them.When I turn them on, Windows recognizes them and shows that they are connected, but when I play audio, the sound comes out of my desk speakers and not the headphones.The headphones work correctly with my laptop.

I used to turn it on and it would connect automatically I could listen to my music and everything was fine. Now my headphones won't connect automatically I have to go to my bluetooth click on the device and click connect for them to connect. Not only that but if I close the page that has the connect/disconnect options it will automatically disconnect and i have to reopen the device page and click connect again to get it to work
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried many times to get my Bluetooth Headphones to work with Windows Media Center without any luck. I use Media Center to watch Cable TV through a Cable Card Receiver box. The BT headphones pair and is listed in Devices and Printers. I can see it in playback devices and click test. The bar indicated that there is sound going to the headphones, but I don't hear anything. I even had a guy from The Geek Squad give me some help, but had the same results. Are we doing something wrong or does this in fact not work with Media Center?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Windows 7 RC, and I just bought LG HBS-250 stereo Bluetooth headset. And I'm using kensington bluetooth dongle with windows 7 basic driver. My bluetooth hasn't given me any problem with syncing to my BlackBerry.
Now I want to use my headset to listen to music through audio streaming from my PC. First of all, the headset works perfectly with my BlackBerry.
But when I try to listen to music from PC, the music constantly stops just like I'm listening to streaming music with bad connection. (Buffering)
Funny thing is, when the headset is connected to BOTH BlackBerry and PC, then the music from PC plays flawlessly.
What should I do to correct this problem? I don't want to keep my BlackBerry's bluetooth on just for this .

I bought a cheap USB bluetooth dongle to enable my PC to connect to my bluetooth devices and these headphones don't work. My PC pairs fine with my phone so I don't think anything is wrong with the USB. It discovers the headphones when I try to add a bluetooth devices and recognises them as headphones but when I go to add the device I get this error: "Adding the device failed resulting in an unknown error. The reported error code is:0x80004005." I've had a look and I've read a few things about Windows 7 not supporting A2DP but I don't really understand what to do about it.
I have just put 64bit 7 on my pc after having 32bit 7 on it and I have noticed after the starting windows orb goes the screen turns blank for 10 secs then tarts allot slower than it use to on 32bit and 32bit never had that problem is there a way to stop this from happening?
View 0 Replies View Relatedive been running a i5 -2500k system i built a year ago absolutely fine oc'd to 4.1ghz @1.248v i added a ocz agility 3 60gb ssd to use as an SRT cache device about 7 months ago and its been running like a dream, until recently when i turn the computer on it boots up windows in under 40secs but hangs/crashes whilst searching for network and i have to reset my computer. its quicker to find network on 2nd boot up although not everytime.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 64 bit and when I boot up windows without headphones plugged in, the sound works fine through the speakers but when I plug in the headphones they do not work. If I unplug the headphones, the sound starts coming out of the speakers. I have tried manually switching devices but that didn't work either and if I try to adjust volume the sound mixer crashes.
I just have integrated audio (device manager lists it as High Definition Audio Device and IDT High Definition Audio CODEC).
If I plug in the headphones and then start the laptop, the sound works fine through the headphones.
Any info on what may be going on?
I have one hard drive that I multi-boot with XP and 7. Headphones work fine. Other hard drive is just Windows 7 and headphones don't work (speakers work fine). I have tried unplugging and plugging them in: search for new hardware and rebooting many times, all with no luck.
When I go into "sound" in control panel and unplug my speakers it tells me that there is no audio device attached (this doesn't happen on my dual boot drive) and when I try to add a new device, it searches endlessly for new devices and not only never stops, but never finds any devices.
Don't know if it matters since all of my hardware works when I use the dual boot drive, but I have a Dell XPS 720 aand an X-fi PCI sound card although the headphones plug into the front panel of the computer, not the sound card (yes I tried plugging directly into the sound card).
Yesterday I did the full install of windows 7 from XP, I ran the windows update and recieved an update for my realtek sound card along with about 8 other updates, my speakers work fine from the rear jack but when i plug in my headphones into the front jacks nothing happens i dont even get a recognition of them being plugged in and there is no headphones icon in the playback devices tab, it shows the speaker icon and the Realtek hi defintion audio device icon only.
Can anyone please give me an idea as to how I can enable my headphones through the front jacks?
My laptop has 2 headphone jacks on the side. But since I installed Windows 7 I can't use both of them at the same time, instead I can only hear sound out of the first one that was plugged in. I don't want seperate audio coming from them, I want the same, so I don't see why there is a problem.

I had not used my desktop for one week due to some problem of too much dust accumlating in the machine. Due to this the system would not power up. After the dust was removed, system powers up but i now get this problem with sound. Before this everything was fine. The speakers work fine on the laptop.I installed the drivers from the motherboard driver disc. I am using a gigabyte board (GA-G31M-ES2L).I have installed the drivers directly from the gigabyte website for my motherboard as well as from the realtek website.Also updated bios online from gigabyte server. But none of these methods causes sound to be restored.Theres no exclamation mark by the audio drivers in Device Manager. I have removed the audio drivers and after a restart, i still get the "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" error on the speaker icon.In device manager after restarting the system, i get the "high definition audio" device listed under "Sound, video and game controllers".Now i am wondering there is something wrong with the motherboard.
I am still getting my sound coming through my speakers with the headphones plugged in. Not sure but I am wondering could it be the new drivers.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have volume set around 8% and for some reason it is way louder than on Vista. On Vista I usually have it around 22% when I use headphones. On Windows 7 RC it's extreme loud when I set it to 22%. Anyway to fix this? I tried everything in the sound properties.

I have no idea what has caused this, and I can't seem to get it to go away.
And I just tested it now and the mic is also playing through my speakers.
The speakers of my laptop are working properly but when i use headphones then it doesn't work. I checked the playback devices but headsets/headphones are not in the list, there is only speakers.

I have Realtek Hd Audio Manager installed and it recognizes the headset when I plug it in but in control panel under sound it doesn't,it thinks my headset is speakers.I've searched and searched for a solution, apparently older versions of Realtek had better options for controlling jacks,the one I have even though it's all updated is very basic with no options to change any settings to do with jacks.
I got a new pair of headphones today and after awhile I noticed a quiet buzzing noise when I move my mouse around or type on the keyboard, soon I heard the noise without any user input until I restarted my PC then it was just buzzing when using my mouse and keyboard.I tested several headphones and heard no noise however these new ones are better than my old ones, I've also tested them on my brother's PC and heard no buzzing.I'm using my onboard VIA HD Audio driver(up to date). I still hear the noise even if I disable all audio devices.Motherboard is a Gigabyte M4A785TD-V EVO.
