Acer 4830 TG Not Recognize TV ( HDMI)

I have an Acer 4830tg with an HDMI port. In the past I've used it to connect to my tv, but it stopped working yesterday ( the tv shows "no signal") and my laptop didn't detect the TV. However, when I connect it to another TV it worked perfectly, so i guess is not the cable. The TV in other hand, also work normally when I connect it with my PS3, so the tv is fine i think. I already try to uninstall graphic card, sound card and reinstall it but no avail. The only interesting thing i found is when i restart my laptop with hdmi cord plugged in, it freeze on acer logo. I have connected my hdmi cable as usual but this time i had on tv display NO SIGNAL. When i connect another pc to check the cable it seems to work correctly.The problem is coming from my pc.

i have a big problem my graphic card HD4830 in Windows 7.i just installed Windows 7 my other drive ( D: )im downloaded latest drivers from ati and im installed driver 9.7 version . after im restart pc and problem still there cpu usage %100 i think graphic card driver is not correctly working ? but im sure im installed driver successfully. whatever if you know solution pls write there.

when i connect acer laptop to tv using HDMI, I get no sound but the picture is fine. On the sound options I only see the Speakers and Digital Output options but dont see any HDMI Audio output. This used to be visible earlier (and the sound used o work) but this option suddenly vanished.

I have my daughter's Acer 4820T laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium with 4GB DDR3 memory. The original HD failed, and I had to purchase the eRecovery media from Acer as she had not created them when it was working fine. I installed the new HD a 500GB Seagate, but when I run the eRecovery, I am able to choose the UI Language, and on the next screen where the choice of recovery options appear, the only one of the 3 options available is Exit. Both the Restore to Factory Settings and the Restore OS Saving Data options are grayed out. I tried changing the SATA method in the BIOS from ACHI to IDE. I wrote Tech Support but the system is 18 months old and out of warranty, and the only help they offered was to tell me to partition the drive with one partition formatted NTFS, directions to their support link.

I wanted a break from the HDMI sound through the monitor to use headphones, and after several other methods, I tried disabling the HDMI sound. That worked great, but now that option for playback device is completely gone! How do I get it back so I can use the (admittedly weak, but still functional) monitor sound?

I have an Acer GD235HZ monitor with HDMI input and an audio output jack. I've tried reinstalling and uninstalling and new installing everything to do with the drivers available for video card and monitor. Video card is GTX 470 and does have the ability to output sound through HDMI. I can't figure this one out, I need help! I'm using Windows 7 service pack 1 and have all drivers up to date. Oh, and the video output works perfectly!Also, yes I've tried different cables and have double checked that my headphones work that I'm plugging into the output jack from monitor!

I have Acer Iconia W500. It is wokring great in all situation except one. It has one HDMI output. I can connect it to my 24" LCD tv with HDMI cable and works perfect (I can switch between single desktop, clone, extend etc). When I connect to my LG 42" LCD tv using HDMI, the screen goes blank and tv says no signal. When I connect to the TV and start the tablet, I can see starting Windows on both screens. Seems once Windows is loaded, I get no signal on the TV from the tablet. It did work the first time and I was messing with the display setting and I think I accidently turned off backlight on the tablet.I use logmein.com to remote into my other machines. I tried using logmein to connect to this, it works when the tablet is not connected to this TV, but once it it connected to the tv, I only see a blank screen. I also tried UltraVCN, I get same thing, blank screen.I need to know if there is any way I can either delete the LG tv profile or something where when I connect the HDMI cable, it will revert back to default setting and the video will show on both tablet and tv like it does when I connect the other TV.Sorry about long thread, but wanted to make sure I enter all the details of my problem. I have the Acer Aspire 5741Z and it has HDMI connection on the side. I plugged in the cord to the laptop and then to the TV. Sometimes (depending on the model of the TV) when I set the menu to HDMI the TV will search for the connection and signal and connnect automatically. Then with other TV's is doesn't.What am I doing wrong or does to laptop has to be configured someway?

My problem is that after turning on the power for the very first time, it will not recognize my keyboard. I have several different keyboards and I tried them all- including the Acer keyboard that came with the PC.I think my mistake was that before turning on the power, I had plugged in both an HDMI connection to my TV as well as a DVI connection to an Acer 23" monitor. Then when I powered up the PC, it defaulted to the HDMI output but I didn't realize that and was expecting it to displa on the monitor.It took me a while to figure out that it defaulted to the HDMI connection. I started out by looking at my monitor and couldn't figure out why there was no activity on the monitor. But once I switched the TV input to "HDMI 1", I saw the output was displayed on my TV.Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to recognize any keyboard now although it does make a "clicking" sound when I press keys on the keyboard. I tried to press WIN+P to change the HDMI output to show the same output on both the TV and the monitor but it seems to default to "side by side" and the only thing that I can think to do now is to pull out the power cord plug and try to re-boot with just the monitor connected and without the HDMI connection.When I hit the "power off" button, it has no effect. Should I pull out the power cord from the outlet? Or is there some other way to get it to reboot?

I'm trying to hook up my TV with my computer, and for the most part it's working. The video goes through and I get how to control it and everything. The only thing not working is the sound.
I'm using an HDMI to HDMI cable, and like I said the video is fine. Also, when the cable is plugged into my boyfriend's laptop, the sound comes out of the TV.
So this must mean the problem is with my computer specifically. Although, this computer is only a month old, so I wouldn't think anything is out of date.

he has a Dell Inspiron laptop Window 7 and a Samsung LED TV. I'm on port HDMI2 on the TV from the PC. I have tried everything but it says "source is not connected..." I tested the cable with the blue ray player and it works fine. I called Dell (still under warranty) an they were useless.I've checked the settings on the PC and I have it set to "extended" so I can see the monitor on both....no luck. Is it a setting on the TV that I am missing?

I have a Compaq Presario CQ56 64-Bit (Windows 7 Home Premium) laptop that I bought before the summer, today a Windows Update has given me an Acer display update published on the 28/12/2011. I thought because I had my vga cable plugged into the TV Windows Update may have become confused but despite checking for updates again it still appears there as optional.
AMD/ATI is recognized by Windows and Windows Update and there had already been a display driver update not so long ago, so I cannnot understand why I'm receiving an update for the wrong machine?

When i turn the computer on i get the screen : setup is starting service. Install Windows. The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. I have contacted acer they tried to help with the ALT and F12. Nothing I have tried works.. They told me to order the recovery discs for $20.00. I did , and they dont work either... I contacted them back, and now they say to send it back to them and for $199.00 plus shipping, they will repair the computer..I do not have the money for that..I have the the system disc, the 3 recovery disc and the language disc , that I just ordered from Acer for $20.00.

When I press down f10 and ALT at the same time during boot up from the factory recovery disk when seeing the splash screen, nothing happens and the 'acer laptap just boots from the regular hard drive as usual.

my blue ray only has one video out option -- (HDMI). My T.V. has 2 HDMI ports currently in use, and 1 unoccupied VGA (15-pin) connector port. What are my option(s) to connect if I want to use the VGA (15-pin). How do I know if the T.V. (3 year old 42" Sylvania) will accept using this port from the HDMI on my blue ray?

I am using a Laptop with a dead screen by running an external monitor from vga port. I am trying to duplicate this monitor on Sony HD tv using an USB adapter to HDMI. On the first go around I got my desktop ...minus any task bars or icons. on the Sony plus sound but could not get the complete desktop to display. (I am thinking now this might have been resolution trouble and my icons were just out sight) Videos play fine on vga monitor but see just windows logo on Sony.
When I go to display settings I see "1/2 multimonitors" and it shows the Sony as 3. That is when I get lost. If I click on identify it shows a giant " 1" and "2" on my vga monitor. at the same time. Then my choices are duplicate, extend, and show desktop. Which should I use.? I am not sure if my vga monitor is 1 or 2.
There is also a "connect to projector". I messed around there and killed the vga monitor (my only one) Had to restore in safe mode to get back to normal vga output.

Last night my new laptop arrived (XPS), still getting used to windows 7 etc... but i thought i would watch something through my t.v. Plugged HDMI cable in back of laptop straight in to t.v, changed the source and straight away i had a lovely sharpe picture of my deskop instantly.... or so i thought
im getting the middle part of my screen fine - but it is cropped so i cant see the tool bar (its too low) and the desktop icons are only veiwable if i move them closer in screen! Ideally i want to have identical screens on both so i can use both at sam time, but currently i can only view either or atm? and the t.v one being crop means i can use it as a computer (No toolbar etc..)
I could figure this out on XP but windows 7 seems beyond me atm!

I can`t get surround sound over the HDMI. I have tried old drivers, and forworth to the newest. Nothing gives me surround. I have a Yamahasurround reciver that gives me the sound. And it works anything else I have tried on it. Inside windows, if I trie to go to sound options, goes to configuration on the HDMI inside sound opt. I can`t get anything else than stereo.

I recently purchased a Dell n5010 and i cant seem to connect it onto my 40" Bravia HD LCD.i'm trying to connect it via HDMI.. but somehow the laptop doesn't seem to display on my Bravia.At first i thought it was the cable issue, but the HDMI cable works perfectly fine on the DVD player.

Look worse than the VGA out on my laptop? The HDMI out has black bars on the left, right, bottom and top. The VGA looks crisp and clear and fills the whole screen on my TV.

When I connect my PC to my TV Via HDMI Cable, my TV does not receive a signal. When I check in Control panel>Display>Resolution, My TV hasn't even been detected. My TV is an LG 50", Card is a GTX580, and my OS is Windows 7.
Also, when I connect my laptop to my TV via HDMI (Also on Windows 7), It is instantly recognised and automatically displays, so it has to be an issue with the PC itself.

I am trying to get audio from my PC via HDMI into my Marantz NR1402 AV Amp and then into my panasonic plasma.the plasma is picking up the desktop (so the signal is going thru the amp ok but the amp is not receiving any sound. In the Nvidea Control panel Set up Digital Audio it recognises The marantz under HDMI but in the configure section "open windows sound setting" it only shows speakers (not plugged in) & Digital Audio (S/pdif) Default device (i am showing hidden & disconnected devices).I have opened the pc case and noticed that I have a two pin cable from the 9500gt going to the Spdif on motherboard & a cable running from the soundcard to the front sockets on the pc case.

Right i picked up a pc that needed some tlc, tried installing windows 8 and get the error so installed windows 7.Quick breakdown:motherboard - k7s41cpu - amd seprom 2400+graphics card - powercolor x1950 pro agp 256mbHad a few problems installing the video card - but after going into bios and changing agp to 4x instead of 8x it now works great - full hd display using a dvi - hdmi 1.4v leadNow my problem is I cant get any sound, having read and read i now know there is sound output through DVI (19 pins video / 5 pins sound)My question is how do i enable the sound through my x1950 proI have tried installing the realtek hd audio drivers but it just comes back no driver installed.
