AMD Phenom II 710 Coprocessor Driver?
Mar 27, 2011
I have an AMD Phenom II X3 710 2,5 GhZ, and after fiddling around some in the device manager I notice that the "coprocessor" is unknown, and I can't find drivers for it.I've an nVidia 8200 chipset with plans on changing to AMD 890GX/SB850.As a sidenote I'd actually also like to hear the experience of you wise fellows if any has tried changing motherboard without reinstalling windows.

I installed Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 (from official windows site, but i got a windows key from a friend of mine ^^) a couple of months ago, its all working fine.I recently installed the Windows 7 drivers available at Nvidia.com for my Nvidia 9500GT and got a noticable FPS boost.Today when I was just browsing some stuff i noticed that I had 2 driver errors:
USB Camera <-- old thing, bought it years ago, so screw that xD
Coprocessor <-- No further information given O.o
so I tried to use the troubleshoot thing by rightclicking on my computer (with the yellow sign next to it ) and clicked Troubleshoot. It tried to reinstall the coprocessors drivers, but couldn't find earlier drivers so it failed.so now is my question: What the hell is my coprocessor? Could it be the onboard Nvidia geforce 7050? I personally doubt it becouse when installing Windows 7 it showed it had downloaded the WMD drivers from windows update for the 7050 and the 9500...

Location: PCI bus 0, device 1, function 3 .
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
The above is found in my Device Manager under "Other Devices" "coprocessors" . I have already tried to install drivers for my sound card (Win 7 drivers are available)but when I do , Im told they dont need to be updated, I have the latest edition. I assumed the coprocessor was my sound card because I dont have any sound. Im tempted to do a system restore ! My m/b is a MSI K9N2 Diamond.

I have an AMD athlon 64 x2 dual-core TK-53 processor but i can't find an driver for the coprocessor not even on the offical site. Windows say's in the device manager that it isn't working properly because there are no drivers installed.
I am getting this message... The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
This is resulting in my laptop in crashing regularly and windows tries to recover the display driver.

Got this MSI CR600 Core 2 Duo laptop today with 32bit Windows 7. Promptly installed an RC version of 64bit Windows 7 on drive D which enables me to boot in either version.
Downloaded Nvidia's laptop motherboard driver which got the sound and Video going. Performance Test rates this machine at 689.6 which is not bad. Only problem in Device Manger is an exclamation mark against "Coprocessor".
Any ideas on where to get the driver for this "Corprocessor?". Windows update did not help.

I've tried installing the Win7Vista 179.48 32bit beta drivers from nvidia and have had no luck. I've even installed them in Vista Compatibility mode. The only drivers available for Windows 7 at the HP support site are wireless drivers, and I've tried using older drivers supplied by them for Vista with no luck there either.

I am running an HP dv2810us 14" laptop with the GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M video/chipset.
I have read a few posts regarding this issue across the internet. Been searching out this bugger for weeks now and the closest I have come to resolving it is this site.
I am running a 32bit version of 7 and the coprocessor driver will just not load.
I have downloaded my drivers from HP, Nvidia, and guru3d. Multiple sets of each and none of these will work.
I have used universal extractor to pull apart hose files to get at the inf's and can't get it to work. I saw two references to this solution being fixed.
first guy said he loaded a driver out of HP's set and it worked but he could not remember which one and that it did not seem like it was the right thing
second was a jc guy from this site that said he did it by getting drivers for a different laptop from HP which he also did not say which.

At some point maybe trough windows update or other such event my processor drivers have been corrupted. My hard hard drive is constantly writing data at processor folder on windows as can be seen on attached screenshot of resource control panel. This takes up considerable amount of procressing power too. I haven't found any newer drivers from internet as haven't windows either. Disabling current drivers doesn't seem like great idea either.
Problem arised in updating to service pack 1 of windows 7, but I think it has been around for longer as hard drive has spinned at intervals before the update too when there hasn't been any processies going on, but considerably less often.
I could allways be wrong about the cause as I have two Radeon 5500 graphics cards on system but as I updated those drivers today to no avail, so I doupt it. Offcorse it could be million other things too but hard drive writing really suggests processor drivers.

Apparently the CPU has been overclocked, but tends to revert back to AMD Phenom II X3 720 from time to time. The CPU is inserted in the ASRock N68-VS3 UCC motherboard. Does it reverting back means that the overclocking procedure is somewhat unstable or is it just a graphic glitch? Also, how better is a AMD Phenom II X3 720 to an AMD Phenom II X4 20 both @ 2.8 GHz?

I have a AMD phenom II x6 1090t, with a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 cooler and the thermal compound is applied properly. I also have 5 chassis fans.
On idle I normally have temps of 30-38 and when I'm gaming (GTA IV, LFD, COD MW2, BLACK OPS etc) I only hit 50, but when I was playing GTA IV, I finished playing and checked my temps and core temp said I hit 112 Celsius, however I didn't hear the computer get noisy or anything. I was wondering if this is legit or just a false temp because I've heard a few bad things about core temp.
When I use prime95 and other tools I only hit like 50 D:

I have an HP DV6500 with an AMD TL-64 processor and the NVidea GeForce 8400M GS graphics card. It's the rs085av model.
I recently installed Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, and I managed to install all the drivers except for two items. It shows "Coprocessor" and "Unknown Device" as incorrectly installed. I don't know what the Unknown device is, but it might be my cd drive (slimtype DVD A DS8A1P ATA), which also isn't working. Also not working is my Ethernet port, which is on the motherboard.
So, if anyone knows what drivers I need to grab to get those to work, or if I need to reinstall the chipset, I would love to know.

After installing the new drivers from Nvidia (195.62, 197.16 and then 258.19) I still have the drivers for this device and are not installed (code 28) error. I have tried to uninstall the driver and re-boot the machine and windows finds the hardware and I get the same error. When I updated the driver, I download the driver file, go into the extracted directory and run the setup.exe file. Then I go to the device manager and update the driver for this device and specify the directory for it to search on my hard drive. I have a GeForce 8400M GS video card and am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. My laptop is an HP dv9500z (Product GP347AV). I am running an AMD Turion 64 X2 2.2 GHz processor.

As I was exploring my Aspire 7530g I stumbled upon an uninstalled component, the "coprocessor".
Device Status:
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28).."
I did my research and found a mass variety of solutions.
I opened Everest and saught out the unit myself.
nVIDIA MCP77 - Management Unit
I asked my good friend google for some drivers and how to's.
I downloaded and installed the latest drivers to my Nvidia 9400m.
Alas, the effort led me to the same climax of me having an uninstalled CoProcessor.
Am I supposed to install M-board drivers, suggestions?

I recently did a clean install of windows 7 home premium (64 bit) on my notebook Hp Pavallion Dv6700z CTO. It came from Hp with Vista home premium (64 bit) installed. My processor is an AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile technology TL-60 2.0 GHz (amd lists this as a dual core). It has 2.0 Gb ram w/ 64 bit OS. I am getting an error message which states...
Coprocessor-The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). I tried to have windows resolve the issue but it could not locate any drivers.I tried Microsoft support but after almost 2 hours and many driver installs they say they cant find a solution and its Hp's fault for not supplying drivers. I went through Hp they but its my problem because they dont support any OS updates so any help would be apprecited.

I am missing three drivers in my device manager. They are listed under other drivers and when I look at the properties there is no information given as to what its for.The first two say base system device and the third one says coprocessor. None of them can be updated from the manager because it cannot find the drivers online. I believe the first two have to do with nvidea but everytime I try to download the driver it does not work. I have no idea if I am even on the right path. This is the last issue I am having from my windows 7
