Jan 5, 2010
my system is complaining about the "coprocessor" driver missing. It can't find a driver online. I know nothing about a coprocessor. Anyone care to elaborate? I'm using an Acer Aspire 5737z

I've tried installing the Win7Vista 179.48 32bit beta drivers from nvidia and have had no luck. I've even installed them in Vista Compatibility mode. The only drivers available for Windows 7 at the HP support site are wireless drivers, and I've tried using older drivers supplied by them for Vista with no luck there either.

I installed Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 (from official windows site, but i got a windows key from a friend of mine ^^) a couple of months ago, its all working fine.I recently installed the Windows 7 drivers available at Nvidia.com for my Nvidia 9500GT and got a noticable FPS boost.Today when I was just browsing some stuff i noticed that I had 2 driver errors:
USB Camera <-- old thing, bought it years ago, so screw that xD
Coprocessor <-- No further information given O.o
so I tried to use the troubleshoot thing by rightclicking on my computer (with the yellow sign next to it ) and clicked Troubleshoot. It tried to reinstall the coprocessors drivers, but couldn't find earlier drivers so it failed.so now is my question: What the hell is my coprocessor? Could it be the onboard Nvidia geforce 7050? I personally doubt it becouse when installing Windows 7 it showed it had downloaded the WMD drivers from windows update for the 7050 and the 9500...

I have an AMD Phenom II X3 710 2,5 GhZ, and after fiddling around some in the device manager I notice that the "coprocessor" is unknown, and I can't find drivers for it.I've an nVidia 8200 chipset with plans on changing to AMD 890GX/SB850.As a sidenote I'd actually also like to hear the experience of you wise fellows if any has tried changing motherboard without reinstalling windows.

Location: PCI bus 0, device 1, function 3 .
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
The above is found in my Device Manager under "Other Devices" "coprocessors" . I have already tried to install drivers for my sound card (Win 7 drivers are available)but when I do , Im told they dont need to be updated, I have the latest edition. I assumed the coprocessor was my sound card because I dont have any sound. Im tempted to do a system restore ! My m/b is a MSI K9N2 Diamond.

Got this MSI CR600 Core 2 Duo laptop today with 32bit Windows 7. Promptly installed an RC version of 64bit Windows 7 on drive D which enables me to boot in either version.
Downloaded Nvidia's laptop motherboard driver which got the sound and Video going. Performance Test rates this machine at 689.6 which is not bad. Only problem in Device Manger is an exclamation mark against "Coprocessor".
Any ideas on where to get the driver for this "Corprocessor?". Windows update did not help.

I am running an HP dv2810us 14" laptop with the GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M video/chipset.
I have read a few posts regarding this issue across the internet. Been searching out this bugger for weeks now and the closest I have come to resolving it is this site.
I am running a 32bit version of 7 and the coprocessor driver will just not load.
I have downloaded my drivers from HP, Nvidia, and guru3d. Multiple sets of each and none of these will work.
I have used universal extractor to pull apart hose files to get at the inf's and can't get it to work. I saw two references to this solution being fixed.
first guy said he loaded a driver out of HP's set and it worked but he could not remember which one and that it did not seem like it was the right thing
second was a jc guy from this site that said he did it by getting drivers for a different laptop from HP which he also did not say which.

I am missing three drivers in my device manager. They are listed under other drivers and when I look at the properties there is no information given as to what its for.The first two say base system device and the third one says coprocessor. None of them can be updated from the manager because it cannot find the drivers online. I believe the first two have to do with nvidea but everytime I try to download the driver it does not work. I have no idea if I am even on the right path. This is the last issue I am having from my windows 7

If I am streaming a video online the screen will get fuzzy and freeze. I will then get the blue screen which will mention that there is a problem with my display driver. This has happened many times. I won't be able to do anything after that. I can't even turn off the computer. I just have to wait for the battery to die so that it will turn off.

This is just a question as I am not too computer minded - running Windows 7 for last year and now I have a small problem. There is this Find bar that comes up and interrupts me when I am typing or even when I am trying to fill in forms online. How to get rid of it have tried so many antivirus scans and it is not picking anything up!

I just started building a new computer and Im having an issue intalling Windows 7 Enterprise. I've got the Asus Crossfire V Formula motherboard, FX 8150, GTX 570, 16 GB Kingston HyperX memory, and Corsair 80 GB SSD. When I first try to install Windows, im getting an error that says "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have the driver floppy disk, CD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." I have tried clearing the CMOS, checking the BIOS for AHCI configuration, and tried loading the latest ITE ATA driver on a disk to force it.

I bought a 2nd hand PC as my old one was fading fast. It is a Compaq dc7100 SFF.Not ideal but only one within my budget. Originally XP it was upgraded to Windows 7 by the previous owner. Personally I would have been quite happy with XP. It seemed OK until I did something I did so often with my old PC. I tried to play a simple game of Microsoft Freecell. I got the message "Hardware Accelerator disabled or not supported by Video Card Driver". I opened the Device Manager to enable the Hardware Accelerator, to find that there was no driver installed. I contacted the Seller who said I might need a "much more powerful Graphics Card" to play games. Really? I had one of these PC's before and never had a problem playing Solitaire or Freecell. I wasn't going to play super-duper Space shoot-em-ups after all. How do I find out which Driver I need to download?

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NS30E/W, on which I am running Windows 7.Some days ago, I have installed a new driver for the Sony Visual Communication Camera (Motion Eye) webcam and the device worked fine. However, today the device has stopped working (Code 43) and it now states that it is using the older version of the driver. Can anyone tell me where I can find the new driver files on my laptop, so I can manually locate them? I have installed them via DriverMax, so am not quite sure where the driver is located.

This is my first post on this forum. I am a "silver surfer" with basic PC knowledge, so please "be gentle with me".I have recently changed PCs and took the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Edition 32 bit. All has gone well, except:-
I have a small (80Gb) external drive, on to which I copied all my pictures and some other "My Documents" data from my old PC under Windows XP. When I plug this in to any USB port on the new machine, the power light comes on, but nothing else happens. If I click on COMPUTER, the drive does not show. However, another smaller drive (as well as my Kindle) are both recognised, whichever USB port I use.
If I go to Devices and Printers, the drive is listed as "Unspecified" and as "USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge". Windows Troubleshooter reports "Couldn't identify the problem" but also saying "This device is working properly".

I've recently built a new computer and am trying to install Windows 7 on it (Professional 64-bit full version, acquired through MSDN-AA, burned on a DVD). The installation works for a few minutes but then it tells me that Windows can't find the driver for the DVD drive, an LG GH22NS50 DVD Writer, and prompts me to browse for it. The driver is supposed to be plug'n'play, so there's no CD and I can't find it online. I don't know how the installation has worked at all without the driver, but I seemingly can't get past this point without pointing Windows to a driver.
