Jul 28, 2009
I am running a 3200+ barton, 1.5GB ram, 40GB boot drive, radeon 9700 pro. 32bit Windows 7.
Cant seem to get the drivers installed for dual head, :/
Tried all sorts of different things. In safe mode it comes up with the gfx card installed but in normal mode, it keeps telling me error code 49, (The device did not respond in a mannor)
If anyone has any ideas, i'd be VERY greatful to hear them, (Please dont say get a new gfx card.)

This has been going on for a couple weeks now, not sure what it is.I'm not very experienced with computers, but I did manage to run and do all the tasking prepared on the main thread to give the information needed.I keep blue-screening, at least twice a week during small minimal tasks such as AIM and firefox usage.[CODE]I recently got the computer from a friend, so I'm not sure on the actual specs myself but I do know it's Windows Ultimate 32-bit.

Just kind of confused about the BSOD errors. Just installed Windows 7 last night to this laptop and I immediately started getting them. I tried getting debugging tools to read the .dmp files, but that just wasn't working. Then I tried working with BlueScreenView and I accessed all the .dmp files that I've acquired, six in total. Each seemed to have different files highlighted red, though I noticed one file that all of them had been highlighted red; NT Kernel & Systems. My only guess to fix this problem would be to just reinstall Windows, or would there be an easier way to fix this problem?

I was going to going to reinstall windows 7 professional x64 version of windows in my laptop but during installation I got structed at the point where the earlier partitions are to be deleted and new ones are to be made(I got the option from custom install) to give the path for new C:// drive and others. Here is the basic of problem, the installation was taking very long time to delete my earlier partitions(nearly 30 mins.). So I derectly pressed the power button and shut down (while the deletion of earlier C:// drive was going on) my laptop eject the DVD on next boot, but now nothing was appearing after booting. So I again tried to do the same installation but this time the installation was stucked at the windows icon ('Starting Windows' Icon).

My relatively new seagate harddrive failed on me last week so I requested a replacement. It arrived (refurbished model..) and upon putting it in and trying to install Windows, the following occurs.
After selecting custom install windows attempts to copy files. It hangs at 0% for 10-15 minutes and then spits out an error message stating "Windows could not format a partition on disk 0. The error occurred while preparing the partition selected for installation. Error code: 0x80070057".
And then I notice a new 100 mb partition appears. I cannot get by this step. I cannot install windows onto this harddrive. I've done some searching but most solutions require being able to boot into a functioning version of windows, which I cannot as the drive is "new".
The motherboard is an Asrock B75M running Uefi bios The attempted install of windows is Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 The harddrive is a Seagate 1TB drive

I purchased the Home Premium version of Windows 7 from TigerDirect.com; I don't know enough to download the installation! I have tried everything I know (which admittedly is next to nothing) and keep getting the above error message when installation reaches the part where it's unpacking/expanding the files. I'm upgrading from Vista, uninstalled all the recommended programs to be removed before installing Windows 7 and I still keep getting that error message.

I have a Gateway laptop M series that I upgraded to Windows 7 a few years back (o.g. Vista) has run beautifully ever sense. Recently installed Win8 fresh. Error code OxcOOOOOe9 became the issue. Start up repair was performed several times with no resolve. Used cmd to perform MBR fixes including fix mbr, bootrec.exc, and other fixes found on this site. Nothing seems to resolve the issue. I gave up and was about to call it quits, under the assumption the hdd was gone. One day I decided to throw a fresh copy of Ubuntu on it for laughs ( I am currently getting my certs in networking and linux+) it works flawlessly. Strange to me although I understand there is a difference with grub and mbr.
I should add that I am now just trying to reinstall 7. I have played with 8 on a different PC and would rather stick with the former.

I got notification 1/9 that 14 updates are available for Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. All installed but 1. Update KB2773072 generates error code 80073712. I have re-tired multiple times each after a system reboot. The update is RECOMMENDED not critical. I can probably go without it. It appears it is related to gaming applications. I don't game. getting the update installed?

My computer was suffering from random bsods and viruses before. I atributed the bsods to viruses, but after reinstalling windows 7, I found that the bsods still happened. It seems to happen when installing drivers, or running prime95. Booting into safe mode allows me to pretty much do anything.
When crashing, it does a slow crash, where I can move the mouse around, but the startbar and any other programs dont respond. Explorer then crashes, followed shortly by a bluescreen.

Just inherited a pc, and bought a brand new 1tb hdd yesterday to install windows on. I was foolish at first by not changing any of the bios settings (was a long time since I have done an install) and just left it as it was. I got through to installing windows and it stopped at expanding files with the above error code, which I have heard is really commonWindows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required or installation are available, and restart the installation. Now I am certain there is nothing wrong with the DVD, as it is the same one that has been used on two other PC's. I tried turning it off and restarting, that was when I got another error load up - Bootmgr is missing! After this I restarted it and changed the bios settings to boot from the DVD drive. I tried doing a repair on this through the disc.
Went through all the settings and typed Bootrec.exe/REBUILDBCD in command prompt but that came back fine. I tried clicking startup repair after this but it did not restart, so I just went through the motions and restarted it manually as by this point I was getting frustrated. Upon restart I went through and booted from the DVD, and it went straight through. This time I tried re-installing but deleted all the partitions on the drive which had appeared since trying to install. However the same error message has come up again

This is my first build so please excuse any greenhorn stuff... My week old ASRock Z68 PROFESSIONAL GEN3 has SM Bus Manager/Controller errors. Just did a fresh build and installed WIN7 64 bit three days ago. Got around to getting other software installed as time allowed at night. Something gave an error alert today and I went checking at device manager to see what it was.

Been having strange connectivity issues as of late, they started about a month ago, and its only now during Easter break that I'm taking the time to tackle them. The problem I'm experiencing is that during online game sessions, I would experience sudden disconnects. Thing is when I only use my browser everything seems fine. The internet connection to my house is pretty stable, nobody else is experiencing the same issues as me when it comes connectivity. I've made sure to run virus checks to see if it was a nasty virus, nothing has been found. Drivers are all up to date as well. So I checked my Event Logs and found this: TCP/IP has chosen to restrict the scale factor due to a network condition. This could be related to a problem in a network device and will cause degraded throughput.

I have a dell lattitude lap top running windows 7. I had picked up a virus that seemed to shake up norton AV. I think I have it settled, but still can not have anyone webex in. Norton did not think this was the virus and suggest I search the OS or whatnot. Before reinstalling Windows 7, is there a program I can run similar to the old scan disk, to check for errors?

I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I regularly access a work website that has a self-signed certificate. I got tired of the warning message that always pops up regarding the untrusted certificate, so I installed the certificate. When I used to run XP, that solved the issue. However, for Windows 7 64-bit, that did not fix the problem.
I've also tried installing the certificate into the "Trusted Root Certificate Authorities" store for both my user account and for the computer. That didn't fix it either. Finally, I tried changing the security zone for the site to be in the Trusted Sites list. That also didn't fix the problem.
I find it very irritating that a website that has a "trusted" certificate is giving me a warning message about an untrusted certificate. I wonder if this is related to the Windows 7 64bit driver signing nazi-ism (i.e., you can't load device drivers signed with non-Microsoft certificates, even if you install the certificate). Just for grins, I tried disabling driver signing enforcement, but that didn't change anything either.
Does anyone have any ideas?

i've been having bsod on win 7 for over a week, i have had these problems previously, win 7 32bit to 64bit reinstall worked last time. this time i have tried installing win 8 pro 64bit to separate ssd drive. clean install, also having similar issues. i've started debugging some of the dumps. a few have pointed to avg and the gpu. i uninstalled avg and used driver sweeper to remove video, sound and ethernet drivers. this had only made the bsod take slightly longer to happen. sometimes the are happen under load (utorrent and playing bangbang racing), other time just Internet, and even while idle(just utorrent). i have stress tested the gpu, cpu, and run check on ram and hdd. i am leaning to faulty motherboard but i don't want to fork out for a new one until i cam be 100%.

This is a run time error and the Internet has all kinds of fixes for it but they are all programs which just screw up your computer. I'm supposed to download the file and that takes a program and so forth. I would like to fix things like this without destroying my computer with all the programs out there and most of them are not for windows 7. Can someone kind of guide me on this because I'm sort of confused?
