I'm having a problem with my signature. I've created it in Microsoft Works Word Processor and everything appears correct except for the double spacing. It is not double spaced on the Word Processor so why after I transfer it to Windows Mail does it get double spaced??? I can't figure out how to correct this;
The only way I've been able to have my signature included in posts is to = use RTF, but even then the signature is automatically included only with = a new post. When I post a reply I need to manually insert it. I'm using = an HTML file for the signature.
The only way I've been able to have my signature = included in=20 posts is to use RTF, but even then the signature is=20 automatically included only with a new post. When I post a reply I need = to=20 manually insert it. I'm using an HTML file for the = signature.
I have been trying to insert a signature which includes a logo into messages for one of my e-mail accounts. No matter where I place the html file (built using Frontpage) holding the signature and graphic, the graphic will not show in the message. Just the horrible red 'x' below the text. Clicking the blank,
I recently purchased my business card in a jpg file so I can use it in an automated signature. I do Tools>Options>Signatures>File>Browse and insert the file with my e-card. When I go to create a new email, all that appears instead of my card is.
I have tried to save the following info with the required path, but have been unable to save it from Notepad to another file in an .htm file. I have used the following info for notepad. This would be the path to your logo
I am running Windows Mail, on Vista. I have Charter Internet as the provider. I have two different email accounts. I have no rules set...never had. I have had these accounts for 5 years. I bought this computer 2 years ago. No changes have been made and all the sudden I am receiving each email 2x's in the inbox and junk mail folders. It is not just from a few people, and not them sending twice. IT is from EVERYONE for the last few weeks. I have 2 emails accounts. When I go to email accounts under tools it shows only 2 accounts. _They_are_not_listed_twice...._ I have Norton Virus protection always had. Nothing has been changed.
Recently bought a Dell Inspiron laptop from Future Shop and having a couple of challenges:
1. Regarding standard text signature at the end of an e-mail: I set up going through tools, options, signature and want it to appear at the end of each originally created e-mail and the end of each reply or forward...in Arial and font size of 10. Works fine when I create an e-mail, but for a reply or a forward appears as Times New Roman. Anything I can do to ensure always shows as Arial?
2. Regarding attachments received with an e-mail: often unable to open when I click on. Someone suggested saving the attachment to the desk top and then opening...generally works but a pain to save. Someone suggested the problem is that I don't have full Microsoft Office suite on the laptop just what came with it-Microsoft Works. Attachements being sent are not unusual...generally Word, Excel, PDF or PowerPoint. Any suggestion so that I don't have to save to desktop?
3. Last question...laptop came with a webcam, the workings of which I am new to. Doesn't always open/work when I click on its icon...window opens and says " please plug in a supported webcam". Sometimes when I unplug from internet and reboot computer the webcam works.
I am getting this error...seems to occur pretty randomly. Just reinstalled Vista twice (clean). Each time going from clean install to Vista HP SP1. Error seems to change a bit each time.

When writing an email, clicking on insert drops down various choices, but Signature & Business card are grayed out. Does anyone know how to use this feature? It was easy to set up in Outlook Express.
I created a signature in windows mail and it is inserted in every mail and reply at the bottom of the mail. However, I always reply on top of a message so that the person who receives my reply doesn't need to scroll down to read the (latest) reply. Now, I have to move the signature from the bottom to the end of my reply, above the original message I received. Is there any way to insert the signature on top of a reply instead of at the bottom?
I followed VistaRookie's 10 step procedure for making a signature with a logo. It worked. Then I added more information and now it doesn't work. My email shows the code stuff instead of just the info and logo. I don't know what I did wrong. I deleted the first try and made the new HTM file using the same steps.
I recently updated my drivers for my video card (an integrated Ati Radeon Hd3200)off of Ati/Amd's website. After instalation windows told me it did not have a digital signature so it would not be allowed to run. I tried to reinstall multiple times to no effect. The main thing is that I can not access my CCC ( Catalyst Control Center). Im running a out of the box Hp pavilion dv4 - 1222nr entertainment notebook pc. I have specs upon request. Sorry im not a verygood speller.
I have added a signature to my emails. How do I display a picture of an object under the signature information. I am not talking about attaching a picture to open when you click the .jpg in the attachment line at the top of the email. The picture I want to use is a .jpg file.
I have my signature as an html file and when i view it in IE it looks fine. But when I transfer it to my windows mail the img src is empty. it just shows src"" in the source code of the email and my image is just a blank box with an x in the upper lefthand corner. What during the transfer from html file to signature is making the image source path disappear?
I have read all the threads, tried to follow the many different suggestions/directions to get my logo into my email signature. At this point, I am giving up. I am a moderately versed computer person, but can usually follow any well given directive. Now I am stuck with a problem after spending several hours on this issue. Every time I start a new message. I have "source, edit, view" tabs at the bottom of my email. Please help me undo this. I am shocked that the makers of Window Mail/Vista would not have addresed this issue before releasing....horribly missing my windows xp.......
When I double click on my files in Windows Explorer the files won't open. I have to quad drupel or mass click for them to open. What could be the cause of this non responsive explorer. This is also can happen on the internet and on numerous apps.
I've got a Vista Home Premium system with Office 2007. I can't open Word *.doc files by double-clicking on them, either on the desktop or when they are attachments in emails (the most common way I get them.) All I get is an error saying the file I'm trying to open is "not a valid Win32 application." When I right-click the .doc file icon and go to "Open With" there is an option that reads "Microsoft Office 2007 component" and it has the Office 2007 Word icon next to it. I again get the "not a valid Win32 application." I can open one of these documents when I have Word already running and just Open File, but its just annoying and time consuming over and over again.
I am new to this forums but i have been lurking around this forum for a long time... But now it is time for me to post... I have had this problem for the last 3 days... I tried everything i could to fix it but nothing worked..
Problem: My mouse double clicks when i click onces... Stuff i found out: Doesnt happen when i start the computer (and while startup programs are loading) Doesnt happen in Safe Mode Doesnt happen always... but happens more than 95% times....
Microsoft Office Document Imaging is running perfectly with one exception! I cannot open .mdi files by double clicking them. Although if I open the Office Tool first, then I can quite happily do a File Open sequence and use the .mdi file normally. The .mdi file extension refuses to allow itself to be associated with mspview.exe (the correct executable file) even when I try to do it via Default Progams using the built-in administrator account. No helpful error message just no response (I AM able to associate .mdi with other (incorrect) exe files so it seems to be mspview.exe that Vista has taken a dislike to for some reason. It was working ok until I uninstalled MS Office 2003.
I DID have both Office 2003 & 2007 installed but the older version was redundant. I see no reason why Vista should block this file association unless I have a Registry issue potentially? (And yes I have done several restarts) I can of course do a System Restore (hopefully) but I wondered if anyone had any ideas why I'm having problems? Alternatively, I can re-install Office 2007 completely but that seems to be a bit of a sledgehammer approach.
I have Vista on my new computer and my husband recently added a signature to his email file at work with a logo. I can no longer see his text in the emails he sends to me. I also cannot type anything in the email created when replying to these messages. I should note that he has Vista at work also on some of their computers including the one he uses and he has none of these issues. Is there a setting I need to change? I've searched the internet along with this site for a solution and haven't seen this particular problem. If need be I can send the email property details to show you. When I got to properties of the email and show the details, it shows the message included in 'part 1' of the message.
When I want to send an email, it tells me that the message won't be encrypted and that it doesn't have a digital signature for my outgoing mail or the recipient of my email. My question is this: how do I get this and is it necessary?
Is it possible to place images in html signature file? If so, how? I believe in Karma. That means I can do bad things to people all day long and I assume they deserve it.
Is there a way to change the color of the signature in Windows Mail (Vista)? Also, how do I change the font size of the signature? My regular font size for mail is 10pt, but the signature comes out at 12pt.
