Apr 28, 2008I've been send allot of email since. I got this new computer. I've noticed that I'm missing allot of email that I've send, how do I fix it so I won't lose all the email that I've send?

Email; Missing Some Folders
Jun 6, 2008i use windws mail to acess my aol email, i am the mail user on the pc at home but im the imap.aol.com i am missing some folders , they are deleted items, drafts, and junk email. however they are on the other account users mail.

May 9, 2009Recently I moved two pieces of mail from my Inbox to a folder. There were 5 other pieces of mail in that folder and the count was 5. After moving the mail though the count went up to 7 but the mail did not appear in the folder. Is there any tool or any option or any edit in a folder and/or the Registry purhaps where I can straighten this out. It isn't imperative I recover the email but at a minimum I would like to fix the email count in the folder to be accurate once again. This is Windows Mail in Vista Ultimate 64-bit with all the Microsoft Updates.

Jun 15, 2009I keep getting these spam emails from random valid email addresses telling me I have X amount of dollars waiting for me in a online casino. Every time i delete and block the emails address i get another from another email address generated. Its obviously spyware, I have run AVG and spybot and it hasnt fixed the problem. I cant adjust my spam filters cause sometimes theres important emails which get IDd as SPAM by accident. Is there anyway to fix this?

Apr 17, 2009When I receive email the text is there but the pictures are not. Sometimes I get the red X and other times nothing. But if I do a select all the blank space turns blue as if something is there. When I get mail from ex. USAJobs, the entire body of the email is blank. Some others the text directing me to "having trouble viewing this email click here" and then it takes me to their website. I have the block pics box unchecked and I am running vista with PCTools Spyware doctor. Also email from friends and family the pictures show up with no problems. No Email: Can Not Get Email To Work Using Any Client
Mar 23, 2008I now have a brand new HP m9100z and can not get email to work at all. My other machine is an HP s3123w aka "slimline". Both run windows vista home premium. On the slimline, email works just fine. On the new machine, nadda. Zip, zero. Can not get email to work using any client I have.
Thunderbird, windows mail, forte agent, all say "login failed". Even though both machines are setup exactly the same. The difference in the two machines is that the new one now has a wifi card and dual ntsc tuners. My domain works fine through browsers so I can get email through the website. Just can't do it on this machine. So what tricks can I try to get email to work?

Mar 23, 2008I have 4 computers, all have Windows XP. I recently replaced the 1st which was my Laptop with a Dell XPS that runs Vista. Since then my email accounts started having problems. I can only receive email on one account. but was able to receive all email accounts one the main Desktop which is wired to the router. Now I have replaced this desktop with a new one it also runs Vista, and now the same thing has happened; I only receive email from one account. Jun 28, 2008I'm having a problem with my MS Office suite 2003 on my new PC (Belarc analysis below). Two issues that have been coming up for me are that my email settings in Outlook won't allow me to bring in my email (IMAP/SMTP set up) and the second is that any time I try to change my office assistant it keeps telling me I don't have enough memory (!). What's going on with this? After all, this is a 3 GB machine, things that worked on my 1 GB shouldn't have a problem.

DVD RW Missing
Jan 27, 2009I have been having a problem with what I think is windows updates(vista Bisness 32 bit os). I have a DVDRW/CDRW drive and it goes missing after I update my laptop. Now I have done a full system restore(back to factory sets). To fix the problem, only to have it comeback at me after I update. Now I have found that the driver is showing (Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) in the general tab) Now when I look in the driver tab under driver details. I see 2 drivers showing for the same thing, one from microsoft and one from sonic.
I have uninstalled the DVDRW/CDRW and restarted the laptop, only to see that the conflict is still there. There is no way for me to roll back the driver as that button is greyed out. I have checked windows updates and I don't see anything in there that is a driver.
However I have found 2 UPDATES FOR WINDOWS VISTA(KB957388) AND (KB952709) that say they are needed to resolve compatability issues. Questions (1) Does either of these have to do with my problem? and if so, (2) How do I deal with these issues?(3) If neither of these updates are the problem what is? (4) How I get rid of the second driver and which one do I remove?
I really would like to have the use of my DVDRW/CDRW rom, as anyone would but I really don't want to take the pc back to factory specs AGAIN only to have the problem again after I update. I asked those question only because I want to know if the updates are the problem, then I can remove them and not let them download again

Feb 26, 2010Some months back I installed Vista 32-bit Home Premium in C: partition. When W7 came out, I installed W7 Ultimate 64-bit in D: as a dual boot. Now I want to keep Vista, but use W7 as the main OS I am going to build on from here on out, so I want it at the front of the hard disk in C: (where it will run faster) and my secondary or experimental OS in D: (Vista).
So I backed up Vista to an external drive, booted from a CD (DriveImage XML BartPE) and restored the Vista image to D: ... then reinstalled W7 in C:.
When I booted after re-installing W7, the multi-boot menu listed Windows 7 twice, instead of Windows 7 and Vista, which I kind of expected, because W7 *had* been in D: and now it was in C: "too." I used Easy BCDEdit to correct the text.
Now the machine boots into W7 fine, but when I try to boot to Vista, I get the usual logo, then the Welcome screen, which lasts a bit longer than it would if nothing was hooey... then I get a cursor (responsive) and a black (empty) desktop.
I used Ctl Atl Del to access Task Mgr, and tried clicking the New Task button and entering explorer.exe, but it is looking at my C: drive for explorer, rather than where it SHOULD be looking in D:, because a funky, unstable, nonfunctional W7 desktop finally came up INSIDE VISTA!! (mind you, W7 is 64-bit!)
I shut down and tried booting into safe mode.... Got the same result of a black screen, and tried entering D:windowsexplorer.exe but got the same error message:
"...ieframe.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error..."
..and again the W7 desktop "tried" to come up.
I suspect it's looking in W7's folder (C:) because the backup image I made of Vista probably contains the original MBR, which mapped Vista to C:. I was hoping when I re-installed W7 to C: with the restored VISTA image already in D: that W7 would create a correct MBR... and it did, I think, but it left the old MBR at the beginning of the D:drive TOO... so when I boot to D:, the MBR record [ON D:] is telling VISTA it is in C:!! Hence Vista goes pokin around in my W7 (C:|) directory.
I downloaded the bootable Vista Recovery CD but it didn't find any problems, and I believe that's because VISTA isn't the problem... the MBR on D: is!
I don't want to have to rebuild the Vista OS... just need to remove the incorrect (old) MBR from the beginning of the D: drive... Can I do that?? Can I test this theory by somehow reading the first sector of that drive?
