Nov 11, 2009I've been searching the net for a few days on how to fix this problem, so far useing programs like RegCure doesn't work at all, neither do most of the others.. So I decided to make an account and ask for help. When I try to install Atlas V14 (A program for translations) it comes up with Error 1935 and does a roleback, so i decided to try installing it on my laptop then copied files to PC and it comes up with a side-by-side error.. Im not too good with all the thinking stuff that goes with fixing comps. So if anyone knows how to fix the 1935 error or bypass the side-by-side thing that would help alot.

May 16, 2008A few days ago I saw I had 11 updates ready to be installed. 3 of them were successful 7 were not. The unsuccessful were Office 2007:

I received an error: Error details: Code 57A. I tried multiple times to install, all with the same error. I did try downloading the update to my desktop, and install with the option "run as administrator...no luck. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.
SP1 Will Not Install And Install Failed With Error 80004005
Apr 25, 2008I've tried numerous times to Install Vista Sp1, but without success. The install appers to go well, reaching 100% at stage 3, but then the screen reports the SP did not successfully install, and proceeds to roll back. On Checking the message in Windows Update, the install failed with error 80004005. I've raised the issue directly with MS, but the advice to install the SP in Safe mode has not helped. I've also trawled various forums and cannot find any reference to the specific error code.
I own a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ1. A number of forums seem to suggest it might be a hardware issue, and I have tried disabling / uninstalling various devices to
see if this helps, but this also has not got me any further. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what this error code means? Is there a way to force the SP to install despite this error code (it does get to 100% at stage 3 after all, so maybe it does install, but one of the packages check routines is picking up an error which doesn't really exist???)
Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working: 'Internet' Icon
Apr 1, 2008After fighting to get rid of a Trojan horse virus, I am missing the internet browser. E-mail works OK. Clicking 'Internet' icon gets me the message 'Internet Explorer has stopped working:". I tried 'restore' but it is not working either. I get the message 'an unspecified error occurred during system restore'. I scanned with AVG and the files it scanned are clean. I have a 'restore' DVD made by the computer vendor but when I stick it in the CD drive nothing happens. The computer is a 1 year old ACER with VISTA home premium preinstalled. How do I proceed from here? I have no idea what to do.

Mar 23, 2008My college aged daughter's laptop formerly worked fine but now has odd networking issues which prevent the system from browsing the internet. The system correctly obtains a DHCP address and is able to ping by name, can correctly run AIM and Microsoft Sidebar but still can not connect the IE7.0 Browser to the internet.
I have read a ton of links here within the Network and Sharing group but I haven't seen anything quite like this before. Even though the I know better, I still went through the exercise of testing for DNS issues as well as the often suggested MTU test but there weren't any issues. I have completely shut off the Microsoft Firewall to no avail. The system came with a free trial of Norton Internet Security but after it expired, I loaded a Symantec/Norton Antivirus (NAV 10.1) and did a complete virus scan which produced nothing. I also did a full spyware scan which also didn't locate any serious malware......

Mar 23, 2008Can't install sp1, get this error 80073712, so i ran the cmd and it shows corrupt files, so i guess the only way to fix them is to do a reinstall of vista ? because there is no way to fix corrupt files that i know of, is that right ? The files in question are windirlogcbscbs.log and it shows cbs package serving failure and windows wcp store corruption.

Mar 23, 2008I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my laptop, and I just recently purchased an upgrade to Ultimate. However, when I'm trying to Install it, as soon as I enter the product key during the instalation process, I keep getting these error messages sayin: "Install Windows: setup.exe - Bad Image C:$WINDOWS.~BTSourcespidgenx.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."
And then once I click OK, it says under the product key "Windows installation has encountered an error and needs to be restarted." I tried restarting the upgrade, and then the computer and the problem still exists. Do anybody have any suggestions to fix this? And what do they mean by "Try installing the program again using the original installation media"?

Hard Drive Install: Error Loading OS
Jan 21, 2009I Install my 2nd hard drive as a storage drive. Then I booted up and got an error loading OS. I rebooted and hit F10 to set up and found that the storage drive is no# 1 and my main drive is no#3. How do I get the storage drive to be after my main drive. So it will boot up from it. My main drive is a SATA. I have a Parserio Compaq SR5601p with Vista. The new drive I am trying to Install as storage is a Western Digital EIDE160GB WDCaviar@SE-7200RPM

Aug 27, 2009Windows Update has tried on numerous occiasions to install Service pack 1 but it fails every time. I went to the vista site and downloaded it on the stand alone link. Sep 7, 2008I have installed civ 4 with the warlords expansion pack on my vista home edition premium 6.0. Install went smoothly. When trying to launch the game i get this error message: This application has failed to start because D3DX9_32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the applicatio n may fix the problem. I have tried re-installing with no luck.
Microsoft then tells me that the problem is with directx 9 and gives me a link to update the end user run-time installer. Which sounds like a perfect and easy fix.Turns out that no matter what version or update i try to install I am screwed. I get this error message upon the initializing phase of the install: An internal system error occured: Please refer to the dx.error log or the Dx.log in your windows folder.
As i said it does not matter what version of directx i try to update i get the same message. Can I not play Civ 4 on vista? I have heard maybe the compatibility mode might fix but I am unsure how exactly to do that right. I have tried a few times...Also spent hours on the phone with game support

Jan 29, 2010I've been getting the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD for the last couple weeks. Lately it's down to a couple times per hour. horrible.error Description: Windows detected a new device attached to your computer, but could not find the driver software it needs to make the device usable. Each device manufacturer typically includes driver software of a CD that comes with the device, or as a download from its website. The hardware ID of your device is ACPIATK0110. the "ACPIATK0110" device seems to be my ASUS motherboard (ASUS M2A-VM AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard). It was a home-built computer, so I still have the disc (But it was built properly, I've had it 2 years and this is the first problem). Anywho, I ran the disc to update the drivers... it said the drivers were installed... maybe 45 minutes later, it crashed. I went to the ASUS web site to get the most up-to-date drivers... crashed again within an hour.
So, considering that this happens after an hour or so of use (not during start up), on a system that's been running fine for quite some time... can it be anything other than my motherboard just being fried? I thought about throwing out a reformat just in case... but of course I can find my legit windows XP disc... but no sign of the CD key that makes it worth anything. (The person who built the computer put Vista on it, and I can't get ahold of him for the CD key he used... he wisely didn't give it to me, because I'd have lost it anyway).
