i know how to email one picture at a time, but how do i send several in the same email?
when i highlight the second picture i would like to include, the first one i highlighted becomes un-highlighted.
I recently went into Change Date & Time Internet time tab and chose a time standard to connect with. After doing that I went onto the internet and connected with time.nist.gov and checked the time. After that I was no longer able to go into the internet time tab. It tells me that time.nist.gov is the time connection and I can't change it. It tells me I need to have permission to do this as administrator. I am the administrator! What goes here?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I sent out an email to many addresses at the same time, it showed error and showed the email address that it would not send to. I deleted that one from the list, resent, and it showed another. Eventually it came down to my own email address that I had cc'd to. Hmpf....question, did it send to all the ok addresses? or is it waiting for me to delete the bad ones one at a time as it shows them to me?

Why isn't there a way windows could give us a list of all the error numbers and ways to correct the problems. I have spent countless hours jumping from one place to another to solve my problem. I hope there is someone out there to HELP me. I believe my problem is when I set up, it asked the question"SERVER" and I did not understand what they wanted and I listed who my ISP was.but do not know how to get back to that page to see if I could make a correction
I am running Vista Ultimate, Windows Live Mail and Word 2000. I can not email a displayed document directly from Word. The email icon is greyed out. I would prefer to not have to move to a later version of Word as with all Microsoft products MS seems intent on taking things that were simple and making them aggrivatingly complicated and annoying. My kingdom for a 'Don't Think For Me' button.
1) Is there a way to be able to email (not as an attachment) from Word 2000 in my environment (using Windows Live Mail).
2) Which versions of Word can you email from using Windows Live Mail? For example, if I upgrade to Word 2007 can I then email? Or from Wird 2008?
I really need this feature as it is a backbone of our internal documentation and reporting system.... I will suffer a Word upgrade if I have to, but just want to make sure it will work before I take the plunge.
Contact has a Vista business laptop that until recently when you went into Windows Explorer to look at pictures you can press the email button and it would prepare an email in their email client Mozilla Thunderbird with the image as a file attachment.
However recently this has changed back to Microsoft Outlook for no particular reason. Checked all the defaults and they all point to Thunderbird still being the default program for email. Under file associations, have checked that for protocols, SENDTO is set to Thunderbird. However the "E-mail" button still now brings up Outlook. How can I change this back. It's very frustrating and I've played around for a good long while.
We have Vista Home Edition. When I want to download only new pictures of our sd card I have to wait and download the entire sd card. We have liek 550 pics so far and it will only grow. Why do we have to go thru these everytime? I only want the new pics.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a bunch of pics in my "My Pictures" folder that, I've copied from the net and then changed the name so that I can find the pic I want to see quickly. But when I look in that folder later I not only have the files with the names I want but, also the same pictures with their original names. I've deleted them several times, and each time they return. I've mass deleted, and deleted them one by one (Some 80 pics). I'm really beginning to wonder if I shouldn't just dump the laptop for good. I have Picasa and Quicktime if that would make a difference. I have really come to hate all forms of Windows for various reasons, but am reluctant to spend the time and the money to move to a different OS.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave been using wmail successfully. Works fine now for std email. Suddenly Picasa cannot send pics which it did before. Setting defaults does not show Windows Mail as a choice. The ony choice shown is "use my current E mail program. Windows Mail (news) is the only choice shown in side window. I don't know if this is the Picasa problem but I know that Windows Mail was once shown as the default email program. How do I get it back as a choice? Regular email does work fine rcv and send. I have set "eml" as an association.

View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to upload a picture to, for example, facebook, or I try to attach a picture from my pictures file to an email, I start browsing, get to my pictures, and three seconds later, Internet Explorer stops working, telling me it has encountered a problem (it never tells me what) and then restarts. I have lost entire emails this way, plus I can never browse my pictures when I am online! It might happen to other documents (like Word) as well, I have never tried.

I've got an Sony VGN-BX197XP laptop that I've upgraded to Windows Vista Ultimate. Since then I've encountered some strange display-related issues:
1) I could only boot into Aero about 50% of the time. The rest of the time I forced onto the Standard theme with no Aero option. Since installing Vista SP1 I can't get Aero at all.
2) When not running in Aero mode I can't get the Windows Media Player to play video files, nor get a Perfomance Index.
3) If I plug in an external monitor I can't get a picture on the laptop monitor but I *do* get a picture on the external monitor and it runs Aero 100% of the time. It will also play video files and give me a performance index.
Recently I have bought Vista Home Premium x64 and to be honest I am having quite annoying issue with this OS . I had installed Vista on RAID0 partition. Additionally I have three other sata drives for my data . I noticed that from time to time when I am working on vista , system freeze for 2-3 sec then everything is fine and I can continue work. Particulary when for example I am opening some application or even windows explorer , my computer etc. (when it hangs I can't move my mouse). Moreover when it freeze I "hear" something inside my computer case as if my computer weak up from hibernation.

But for the hell of it, I tryed syncing it to all the availible servers but got: "An error occured while Windows was synchronizing with whatever.server" However I can ping the servers in comand prompt. And also, like the topic says, It still keeps perfect time. It set it's own time. So Im clueless. A bios thing perhaps?

are under my (user) folder on the drive. 89,000 plus. All of this came about
by trying to restore from a backup created from a Windows Vista Ultimate
computer. My new one, at present is Windows Vista Home Premium.
I finally figured how to sort the files by file type (not set up that way as
in XP). When I set about to delete a thousand or so, it never seems to
complete.
Is there a way to speed this operation up? I have now spent 5 hours at it.
I just purchased a Toshiba A205-7464 laptop before Christmas and have been having a problem lately with the wireless internet hanging on me.
I will be online for a certain period of time, sometimes hours, sometimes 10 minutes. I will try to go to a website, not always the same one, and IE will just hang, no graphics will come up, the green bar just stops halfway through and it just hangs. I get no error page or anything but in order to get it working again, I have to reboot. It is really starting to tick me off because it is starting to happen more frequently. I have uninstalled McAfee and installed my own Security Software (CA Suite).

couldn't tell me anything about those 3 profiles.
I want to get rid of them. If not possible, at least someone tell me
how did those 3 come to being ???
My limited understanding of this matter is that those 3 profiles were
from user accounts which were since removed. BUT don't they( the
profiles) also got removed at the same time accounts were removed ??

A few weeks ago my computer died whilst playing online poker. Got the BSOD followed by computer refusing to boot at all. In the end I got it to boot up from the cd drive to run memtest86 and windows memory diagnostic to check my 2gb RAM. Sure enough both of these scans found errors and so today I opened the machine up! Took out 1gb or stick of RAM, and left the other 1gb in the machine. I then ran both memory tests again and this time no errors were found! So in my mind I had removed the faulty RAM and maybe vista would start for the first time in weeks! It did start to my relief and it seemed to be running ok. Then all of a sudden while browsing the net, the computer just froze. Now it keeps freezing often and randomly, sometimes even just by moving the mouse!
One bit of good news is that it is JUST freezing and no longer giving me various BSODs. Does it keep freezing because 1gb of ram is not enough? Another interesting thing is that when the system died on me 2 weeks back I was playing online poker and was always wondering if this caused the problem. Then today I ran a virus scan and it was scanning fine until it came to scanning one file which froze the scan and computer. The file was the following - c:Program filesfull tilt pokergraphics... widget.Tournamentinfo.PNG. Obviously this file is from the same site I was playing poker on. Does that mean anything or am I reading too much into it? Main thing. Is 1gb of RAM enough to run Vista without freezing randomly all the time? I would have thought it was, but I'm not that clued up!
