I am using hotmail format, I insert file, click on the pic I want, it shows up as an attachment under the subject line, but every one of them ends up in the body of the message as opposed to an attachment. Not only does it take a long time to send, but my recipients are not happy about a pic so big that they have to scroll to see different parts of it

Installed the recommended MS updates this afternoon, WM started running very slowly (taking 3-5 seconds to change message when clicked) now every e-mail and newsgroup message shows name and subject, but the content is completely blank. I can open them up, and the content is stored as an attachment, eg AT000223.html AT000223.txt, which I then have to save (if I click either attachment, I get "file not found" error), then I can open it up and read the mail. I have read and tried the fixes where I changed the "read messages in plain text" option, and the encoding options, still the same. I've done the maintenance on the folders, I've also emptied the temporary Internet files as a forum, still nothing.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHave been using wmail successfully. Works fine now for std email. Suddenly Picasa cannot send pics which it did before. Setting defaults does not show Windows Mail as a choice. The ony choice shown is "use my current E mail program. Windows Mail (news) is the only choice shown in side window. I don't know if this is the Picasa problem but I know that Windows Mail was once shown as the default email program. How do I get it back as a choice? Regular email does work fine rcv and send. I have set "eml" as an association.

I have an email in my outbox for 4 days that has a 1 GB file attached I cannot delete it is hanging up other very small emails also from going out. I have tried working offline and deleted the auto send receive, shutting down etc. Only way I can get any emails out at all is to shut down OL program and restart it, but that only works sometimes.

I am able to receive mails but very often i can't send those in the box to send out. Sometimes it takes more than 2 days to go out as now. Actually, two of them go out after one day waiting while others stay still in the box.
