Email Can't Working

Earlier, I was getting the message below and being asked for a username and password, which is totally new - however, now I am no longer getting either message but am not receiving (or I believe sending) emails. My network provider is talktalk. mail.talktalk.net(1) protocol POP3 server response ERR login failed port 110 secure (SSL) no server error 0x800CCC90 error no 0x800CC90 I don't know much about technology so please speak idiot-fashion for my benefit.

I have always been able to hit a link in an email and get to another email from that link. Now I can't. Has something been corrupted or changed in my windows mail? I have gone to tools and don't see anything that pertains.

Since this morning my Windows mail can send but not receive. I keep getting an error message 0x8004005. If I go to my Yahoo home page and go to mail it receives it there.

I just installed Vista Ultimate to a new hard drive. After all updates I added Office enterprise 2007. When i open Word the option to send to email is greyed out. I checked the default program and it is set to windows mail, which is where i want it as I did not load outlook. Why does it not work?

I have been trying to set up window mail so I can send emails straight from word. I am having the error message: "The host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Subject 'Resume may 2010', Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D" come up. I do not know how to set this up. What information do I put in the box where it ask what type of server my email address uses (ie. POP3,) and how do I find this information, and when I do how do I go back and put the correct information in.

I had some problems with my computer last week VIRUS. I had to bring it back to the store so they could format the whole thing and reinstall. Before that my email on hotmail.com was working on windows mail with all the options. But since then my account isn't workin anymore I have to work with the Hotmail Window. We have a whole less options in that systeme.

Clicking or right-clicking website email links doesn't work anymore. My email is Windows Mail, but I get error messages that Windows Office Outlook failed to open. I was told to reinstall Windows Mail, but I would lose my address book entries and emails. I checked in Options and the option to make Windows Mail the default mail client is grayed out.

I exported my email addresses from my old laptop using outlook express as a csv file then imported them to windows mail via import. i ticked all the boxes and i have made sure the box to automatically complete email addresses when composing is ticked is actually ticked and applied. Yet i still cant get email addresses to finish automatically.

I keep getting these spam emails from random valid email addresses telling me I have X amount of dollars waiting for me in a online casino. Every time i delete and block the emails address i get another from another email address generated. Its obviously spyware, I have run AVG and spybot and it hasnt fixed the problem. I cant adjust my spam filters cause sometimes theres important emails which get IDd as SPAM by accident. Is there anyway to fix this?

move files from an XP to a Vista machine and exported all of his Outlook Express email, copied that file to the desktop on the Vista machine, then imported it into Vista's email program. However the folder for email is now on his desktop, and is called Old Email backup. I know that one of these days he is going to delete it and wonder where his email went. What is the default folder it should have created the email in? I will move it there.

Have Windows Mail on PC with Vista. New laptop has Windows 7. Want to access email from laptop but must download Windows Mail Live in order to do so. It forces me to change my email address to their default address at hotmail. There is no place for "other" and the ability to type in my own.

Trouble getting new email address (hotmail.com) recognized as default email. Tried all methods posted on forums: tools option and control panel. Control panel default settings will not allow option to disable Windows Mail. (grayed out). Register Hotmail software says only Vista but I am using Vista. Also cannot open old email program (Windows Mail) : getting error message MSOE.DLL 0x8007002: Checked and followed all advice on forums. Have also stopped virus software from scanning emails.
