Send "Link by EMail" feature is NOT working in IE7 anymore. It once worked fine, but no longer does. I know this is the Vista Mail Newsgroup, but the IE7 folks haven't been able to diagnose
Everytime i go to send a email to someone threw a link it doesnt let me, I get this message, windows mail could not be started because your computer is low on system resources. Most likely the problem is your computer is low on memory or is unstable.... I dont understand? This is a new comp and I have mcafee as a virus protection.
on vista ultimate 64 bit but use 32 bit browser. no issues on any part of computer except recently i have been unable to send a page or link via email when using browser (IE8) from "tools" tab....always was abler to do it before. wonder if anyone else experiencing this as i have seen a few email updates recently but i believe they were for junk mail settings and outlook. i have office 2007 but have windows mail setup as default for all its file types.
I have always been able to hit a link in an email and get to another email from that link. Now I can't. Has something been corrupted or changed in my windows mail? I have gone to tools and don't see anything that pertains.
I just installed Vista Ultimate to a new hard drive. After all updates I added Office enterprise 2007. When i open Word the option to send to email is greyed out. I checked the default program and it is set to windows mail, which is where i want it as I did not load outlook. Why does it not work?
I don't want windows live mail as my default email account. I wen to Set Default Programs. I'm unable to uncheck marks on MAIL-TO PROTOCOL and EMAIL-LINK START MENU LINK. how can I fix that through REGEDIT.
When I try to open a link in my email this happens a box opens up and it says Windows cannot find. this happens for everylink I try to open in my email I have Mozilla Firefox as my default but I changed it to IE and it did the same thing I have Vista Home. Eventhough the box comes up with the error it does eventually open up the link but I always get the error box first.
I have seen a couple of other posts on the following behaviour but no fix so thought I would post it again. Mail has suddenly decided to throw an error whenever I click on a link in an email (in the preview pane or within an open message). A popup appears entitled WinMail.exe - Wrong Volume "The wrong volume is in the drive. Please insert volume NB5 Series into drive D:" If I cancel at this point it then jumps to IE and the page opens as you want. What is going on? Other posts on the topic have had a different device to "NB5 Series" but the same behaviour.
I have purchased Student and teacher Edition 2003 but i need to find a good download site..... ok so what i need is; i have the disk, and i have a product code number (all legal). its a 3 person down load code. i have upgraded my desktop to a single user 2007 edition. Now i want to get my student copy to my moms computer so she can start using the office email feture. shes has student 2007 but it didnt come with the email for what ever reason.
The "Page" button on the website allows for that info to be sent by email or by link. However, when I select to send by link I get an error message about ISP and IMAP. I have gmail as my default, and I think I need to switch to whatever is compatible with windows mail. This is a new computer and prior I used XP with OUtlook.
First question, Is there a way to get the email link in the start menu not to use explorer?? Second Question, Why are my only two options Windows Mail or Live Mail?? Out of a billion different mail servers used by their customers and they pull that kind of crap?? (we'll make Windows "easy to use" except if you want to use someone else's software.
When I get an email for a new forum post, the hypertext looks like this... 'NEFGA :: View topic - Going to unread forum posts' But when I click the link, what shows up in the browser is - 'NEFGA :: View topic - Going to unread forum posts' Instead of taking me to the post for that message, it takes me to the top of the page the post is on. Why is the 65341 being dropped off.If tried clicking on the same hypertext in other applications such as Word and do not have the same problem.I'm using Firefox.
Few days back, I was installing/uninstalling some programs. I don't know what went wrong, but I found the links in "Computer" are not working. When I open "My Computer" ("Computer" in Vista), all the links like "Device Manager", "Remote Settings" etc are not working. It says for "Device Manager" - "Windows cannot find '%SystemRoot%\system32devmgmt.msc". However, if I run the same command from a DOS window, it exists. This is same for all the other links.
My sound icon in the task bar is also marked a permanent red cross. If I open Volume Mixer, it says - No audio device found. But I can still hear sound.
When I post a question on a newsgroup and get an email stating that I have a response and I click on the "read and rate the response" link I get a new Internet Explorer window that remains blank. It also has the word "Done" in the lower left corner. Does anyone know why? Is this a new problem in Vista? They seem to keep poping up.

This has been happening for the past three days. I just recently bought a laptop, the Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898, with Intel® WiFi Link 5100. I would be just surfing on the internet and then the WiFi link would randomly just stop working. I would go to the available connections window, and the network i'm connected to would say 'Connected with limited connectivity', and then it would disconnect and then it would not be able to detect any networks, even though it previously did before. I know it's not a network problem because the same problem occured on two different networks I have set up in two different places. The device manager does not report anything wrong with it, and I did not randomly turn off the wifi for any reason. I would have to reset my laptop in order to fix the problem......
Link to 'Music' does not link on Start Menu. Its Property window does not display tabs; nor does it link to the User/Music folder. How can one repair this link?

Say I have 10 individual Email recipients that I often send the same Email to. I want to be able to bring all the addresses together into one Group, and send the Email addressed to say "Family" or "Social Team" etc. Is there a way that I can lump all the common recipients together under one title?
i have checked to be sure the settings are entered correctly & still cannot send messages. i have a laptop connected to the same wireless router & it works fine, but it is using outlook.

I can receive emails but can't send emails out. I have already called my internet technical support and my servers seem to be correct. Here is the error I get when I try to send out an email: Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
