what is it; last week i emailed a page and it went thru ie7 msn.com e-mail and this week i can't e-mail because i not have "microsoft.com" address and can't seem to find out how or where i can get this new address; i do get "live mail" but t what address! what am i doing wrong??? why is microsoft making the use of ie7 more difficult use; there is NO possible reason for this; is there??

I am quite new to Windows Live Mail having just switched from Windows Mail. There are some emails I want to keep as files in Documents but can't see anywhere that I can use 'save as' or whatever is needed. I have tried select all and copy/paste but as some of the stuff I want to save includes pictures it doesn't work for me.I am using Windows 7.

Like many others, I've wasted more than enough time trying to get Windows Mail to work yet it remains completely unreliable. I have Windows Live Mail but it does not meet my needs (e.g. no provision for sub-folders or bulk despatch of emails). The email client "Thunderbird" has been recommended to me (though by an XP user - not Vista).

i really want my default e-mail server to be set up to something that works. and i do not want to go back to using my yahoo account.
I installed the 64 bit version of DAEMON Tools (the 32 bit version won't even install), and it gives me this error when I try to run it that says:

What are they talking about? I'm using Vista x64, and this is the Vista x64 version. What is the kernel debugger, and how do I deactivate it (and do I even want to)?
I have a Windows Live Mail account and a Yahoo account and they both show up on the left hand side of my Window Live Mail account so I can choose which account I want to use or, for example, which inbox to look in. At the bottom, also on the left hand side of my Windows Live Mail account, it shows 'Add e-mail account', which is what I want to do with a new 'AOL' account and I want it to show on the left hand side like the two other accounts.
So I made a new AOL e-mail account, clicked 'Add e-mail account' at the bottom of my 'Windows Live Account', then I put in my new AOL e-mail account and password where it showed me. Then I clicked next.
The next page was all about my email server. When I did this before with a new e-mail account, it was all filled out automatically for me, but this time, all the blanks were left open and I have no idea what to fill in. I believe once I have this information, the AOL e-mail account will automatically then show on the left hand pane of my Windows Live Mail account below the other two accounts.
When I click on the "email" option in Windows Photo Gallery I'm given the "size" option, I click on "attach" and then I'm sent to a blank page whose tab reads, http://compose...cldefstat=Def1. I am not directed to an email address box.

on vista ultimate 64 bit but use 32 bit browser. no issues on any part of computer except recently i have been unable to send a page or link via email when using browser (IE8) from "tools" tab....always was abler to do it before. wonder if anyone else experiencing this as i have seen a few email updates recently but i believe they were for junk mail settings and outlook. i have office 2007 but have windows mail setup as default for all its file types.

All of a sudden though Internet Explore will say that this page can not be displayed due to working online. I will then go to Tools and the work offline item will be checked. I will uncheck it and try to refresh and it automatically re-checks it. Sometimes it will fix it self but most of the time I have to restart the system. I will be connected to the internet but it just does it automatically. I am needing to know how to permanently uncheck the work offline.

I have to open my accounts online and when I have opened the accounts both mail and live mail will then down load messages, This does not happen all of the time, so I know the account settings are correct. It is just annoying that I have to check online every day rather than just checking mail or live mail. This never happened with XP running Outlook Express. is this a problem with Vista, or my mail servers

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy friend lent me a couple of Iron maiden CD's to rip to my computer, so i put the first one in, and tried to rip it, and it crashed my computer 3 times. After i got logged in after the 3rd crash, windows live messenger wouldn't sign in, and i kept getting an error message saying the service was unavailable, or something. Unfortunately i cant say the exact message, because now it won't open up at all. When i click on the shortcut on the desktop, and the icon in the start menu, the loading indicator by the mouse pointer appears, but nothing happens. A similar thing happens when i try to load Windows Media Player, and my 32 bit Internet Explorer. my 64 bit IE works, but as most people know, it is near useless, as 64 bit IE doesn't support addons like flash.
I downloaded Mozzilla Firefox to replace 32 bit IE, but i really need Windows Live Messenger and WMP, ad it would be good to know that I had 32 bit IE if i felt like using it instead of firefox.
I tried going to add/remove programs and clicking repair on windows live messenger, but it just gives me the message "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.I looked on the internet, and some similar looking problems were given the suggestion of using the "windows cleanup utility.I tried to download it, but it didn't work, because of Windows Installer not working.
When I open hotmail from windows live messenger, the page opens from an already open internet explorer web page + a new one with a message saying that the email address or password is incorrect. Does it happen to anyone else here?

But the only problem is, MSN messenger keeps on going: Windows Live messenger has stopped working every time I open it. But I just ignored it. The next day, I couldn't download anything from my computer. It will just pop up and ask me where to save it then after that, it dissapears and my downloads are no where. Then I fixed it by installing IE 8 (I'm not sure how I could've install that...). Now my IE stops working almost everytime. I can only open the one that says: Internet Explorer (64-bit). I never had this problem before, & suddenly I started to get this message around two months ago: "Asus live update stopped working", then internet explorer closes. The fault module name is: "kernel32.dll" I don`t understand what`s changed for the live update to stop working, the only downloads done on the last couple of months have been mostly automatic windows updates, & other general updates like adobe.
I have realized recently that "Asus live update" seems to close when I try to upload pictures from my computer to facebook. It seems to go crazy when I attempt any sort of Internet uploading. What I`ve been doing is exiting the Live update when the messagge window pops up, & that seems to be working, for the time being. But the problem is still there. Somebody said in a forum that "Asus live update" is useless, & that it should be removed from the programs cos it has no use & it malfunctions a lot.
Messenger doesn't run after SP2 was installed so I uninstalled the complete Live package restarted and tried to reinstall , but get the message Couldn' install application and unknown error. 0x80007ee6 Try later I tried later, I restarted Vista and tried again but no change still the same.
