Windows Mail Could Not Be Started Because MSOE.DLL Could Not Be Initialized

Got a new Dell PC a couple months ago with Vista Home Premium factory installed. Windows Mail was working great but now I get the following: "Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized." What should I do?

MSOE.DLL Can't Be Initialized
I had a power cut while my windows mail program was running. After the power returned, I can no longer start Windows Mail. I get an error message saying my mail database is in use by an antivirus program (which it isn't) and MSOE.DLL can't be initialized. I've loaded Windows Live Mail, which works, but it doesn't have any of the old messages from Windows Mail, though it has all my contacts, fortunately. How can I get my important old messagesa back?

MSOE.DLL Can't Found
I will go along for months and windows e-mail works fine. Then one day I can't get into e-mail at all and a box pops up telling me it is use by another program. Before I can do anything else another box pops up sayin that e-mail can't be started because MSOE.DLL cannot be found. If I restart windows all is well again until the next time these boxes show up. There are no other programs running. Is there a way to fix this problem without having to completely restart?

"Cannot Load Contacts" "0x8004104E" "MSOE.DLL"
if you are getting these messages when starting windows mail, try checking C:Program FilesCommon FilesSystemwab32.dll and make sure the file is there, if it is missing this is the most likely cause of your problem.

replace the file from a healthy vista PC or download it from one of the many windows dll replacement sites (google wab32.dll + vista +

download) and your windows mail should spring back to life.

Ntdll.dll (dll Or Ocx File Is Missing Or Corrupt)
OS is Vista Enterprise

The problem happens with several applications, mostly with word 2007. every log says the fault is ntdll.dll

The file is present in C:windowssystem32

Any effort to change the fila with a new one tells me I have no rights (with both local admin account and enterprise domain admin account).

Trying to register ntdll.dll results with error message that dll or ocx file is missing or corrupt.

sfc /scannow in cmd gives no files with errors.

Does Clean Installation Of Include Msvcrt.dll And Msvcirt.dll?
He's been spending a fair amount of time trading emails with the tech support group of a company making some software he's been trying to install since he got his laptop. They've finally identified the problem as his laptop missing two files, msvcrt.dll and msvcirt.dll, from his system32 folder. I find that *very* strange, since, as far as I can tell, all Windows versions in recent years have shipped with these files--or at least msvcrt.dll--and my thought is that there's a lot of Windows components that would be broken without it. I don't have a Vista machine or Vista discs so I can't verify this for myself, but can anyone confirm whether a *clean* Vista (32-bit) machine includes those files or not under their system32 folder?

Does Clean Installation Of Include Msvcrt.dll And Msvcirt.dll
I'm investigating a strange problem on behalf of a family member...he's got a brand new HP laptop, less than a month old, that came preloaded with Vista Home Premium (I believe--I don't have access to the laptop at this very moment). Unable To Load DLL - Zlib X86.dll
I loaded a program called GO Contact Sync. It is freeware and it is supposed to sync Outlook contacts with gmail contacts. It fails to sync and I get an error message; Error: Unable to load DLL 'zlib x86.dll' The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

I did leave a message for the developers, but I thought I would try this forum also. The zlib x86.dll seems to be related to file compression. I have verified that no zlib DLL is anywhere on my computer. I can find zlib.dll files on the web, but I can't find any reference as to what to do with them.

Startup With Windows "C:PSHD.dll Is Corrupt"
Having some serious issues with my computer...when I turn on my computer, and after loading for a minute or two on the blue HP screen, it goes STRAIGHT to the System Startup/Recovery page. I even did the diagnostic scan to see what was the problem...which it did find one result. It was something called: "C:PSHD.dll is corrupt"

This all happened yesterday when my mother bought my little sister The Sims 3. I let her install it on my computer to play it. (I was at a friend's house). She basically told me that when she finished installing it, a pop up screen came up asking if you want to allow the game to come up or cancel it (pretty normal)--She allowed it. After a few minutes of playing, the computer suddenly shuts down. Once she turned it back it, it would always just go straight to the Start up/Recovery page.

And another thing, I was gonna try and just do a system recovery, but I don't have any flash drives that can hold it all. (I have DVD-Roms but for some reason it wont show them) So yeah...I'm on my mother's desktop computer right now. Anyone know what I can do to save my files from being gone in a deep, dark oblivion? =( Or just how to just fix the problem?

The Security Service Cannot Be Started
I am running Vista x64 Several months ago I got a nasty trojan which removed the Security
Center from my computer. I didn't think it as a big deal as I have several other anti-viruses installed, but I've come to a situation where I require windows firewall to be on. When I attempt to start windows security center, I get the error "The Security Service cannot be started" .Now according to several other hundred threads, I'm supposed to go to "Services" and change "Security Center" to automatic. The only problem is, Security Center is not under Services as thetrojan removed it.

To make matters worse, HP programmers thought it would be cool to not include a vista OS installation disk, but instead add a crappy program on the computer that would allow you to replace programs, but unfortunately it cannot repair my security center.

Started Window Will Minimize
I bought this laptop in February 2008 and I have had problems with the windows minimizing and maximizing from the beginning. They seem to have a mind of their own. I will be typing along or browsing and all of a suddent the window will minimize. I can reopen it and click back on the page and it will minimize again. It is getting worse. I bought two of these the same day and one belongs to me and the other one is my daughters, however, hers was not doing this until recently. She says it has started doing it. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it Vista or the computer itself? I am really ready to get this thing fixed! Get more and more frequent and aggravating!
