Just started using WIN Mail. Previously uded Outlook Express and was happy with it. Two issues I have found and have not found any solutions for are:
(1)When I receive Links in an e-mail and I try to Forward these the Links become inactive in the Forward.
(2)I don't want full e-mail addresses in my Sent nor Forwarded e-mails, just the names.
These issues did not exist in my Outlook Express. Can these be fixed or is there a solution?
In a mail program I used in the past I could "bounce" a message as part of the forwarding function. When "bounced" to another e-mail, it looked as though the message came from the original sender. Is there a function in Windows Mail that does this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently encountered a problem where whatever application im using seems to randonaly exit its use. I dont mean the program crashes more like someone is constantly hitting Alt Tab. It took me 15 minutes just to write this because I had to keep clicking on the text box. I didn't notice the problem this morning but then my mother had someone work on my pc installing a USB wireless adapter (pissed she didn't just ask me to do it) and when i went to use it later in the day i started having the problem.
Now it cant be that Alt Tab are stuck since when I run a full screen application i have no problems like a game or something. It seems to be localized to the desktop. Any ap be it a simple notepad to firefox encounters the problem. I have checked the wires and nothing seems to be loose and I also tried preforming a system restore to a date before I had the problem and that didn't do it either................
I am having a problem with Vista Home Premium 64bit, I have it setup to hide any inactive icons but it does not. I hvae ticked and unticked the option to hid inactive icons but this problem is still the same. I was wondering if any one on here knows how to fix this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep changing a Notification Area Icon to 'Show' but it keeps getting changed to 'Hide when inactive'. I do have the 'Hide inactive icons' checked. So what good does it do to be able to change the icon setting to 'Show' in 'Customize' if it keeps changing back? Any way to keep this icon showing without unchecking 'Hide inactive icons'???

When I use the screen saver Aurora (and i think all screensavers) and leave the computer at night I come back to find it has been crashing and restrting all night. The screensaver comes on without error but at some stage while it's running I get a crash. My power settings are set too never turn off the computer and to never put it to sleep. I have no problems when the screen saver is set to blank. I have never been there to see it crash, it does it when the computer has been inactive for a long period of time. this problem was present with Vista SP1 and is not a SP2 issue.

Also this is working properly.But when I want to send a mail from Windows Mail, in the FROM field, I can only select account X as the FROM party but I sometimes also want to send a mail with sender = account Y, how can I manage that?

have multiple accounts which I use for my e-mail. Always when I have replied or forwarded an e-mail, the account name that it was received in has automatically been entered in the "from" window. That is, if the mail that I am forwarding was received by account 1 that is the name that would appear in the from box. Now all of a sudden it is entering my default account name, but not with all of my accounts, just one. This has led to problems for me with mailboxes not recognizing the name that the mail is
being sent from. When it started happening I did not notice the mail going out from the wrong account, of course now I change it manually, but it's not the best solution, I'd like to get it back to the way it should be. I've looked through accounts and options, but have not been able to figure what has happened to cause this problem. I'm afraid that it's the dreaded computer gremlins again. The Snipping Tool in Vista has decided it will not forward my snips to be emailed. Everything else about it works, but when I press the email icon it does not respond. This is a new development. I have used the tool for a year now, without problems. I have tried the add and removal tick in the tablet box, still no joy. I use this tool all of the time

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to reply, reply all or forward an email either in preview or from an open email nothing happens. Message at the top (Not responding). It seems like the program freezes or there is a very long delay for the reply or forwarded email to appear. If and when it does appear, the email is blank with no text, it is still waiting for the info to load whether there is an attachment or not. When I try to x out, a new window opens giving me the option to restart the program, close or wait for windows mail to respond.
