I have 1 mail account, account X.I have setup this account in Windows Mail and it works properly.I also have 1 account (account Y) that forwards the mail to account X. Also this is working properly.But when I want to send a mail from Windows Mail, in the FROM field, I can only select account X as the FROM party but I sometimes also want to send a mail with sender = account Y, how can I manage that?
View 4 RepliesI have a Windows Live Mail account and a Yahoo account and they both show up on the left hand side of my Window Live Mail account so I can choose which account I want to use or, for example, which inbox to look in. At the bottom, also on the left hand side of my Windows Live Mail account, it shows 'Add e-mail account', which is what I want to do with a new 'AOL' account and I want it to show on the left hand side like the two other accounts.
So I made a new AOL e-mail account, clicked 'Add e-mail account' at the bottom of my 'Windows Live Account', then I put in my new AOL e-mail account and password where it showed me. Then I clicked next.
The next page was all about my email server. When I did this before with a new e-mail account, it was all filled out automatically for me, but this time, all the blanks were left open and I have no idea what to fill in. I believe once I have this information, the AOL e-mail account will automatically then show on the left hand pane of my Windows Live Mail account below the other two accounts.
Fired up my x64 Vista Home Premium this morning and found something odd....Gray forward slash marks on document icons. Cannot interact with them, nor can i find any information about what they might be?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust started using WIN Mail. Previously uded Outlook Express and was happy with it. Two issues I have found and have not found any solutions for are:
(1)When I receive Links in an e-mail and I try to Forward these the Links become inactive in the Forward.
(2)I don't want full e-mail addresses in my Sent nor Forwarded e-mails, just the names.
These issues did not exist in my Outlook Express. Can these be fixed or is there a solution?
The tool bar above the inbox that shows forward, red X for delte, etc. is no longer there. How do I get that back?

have multiple accounts which I use for my e-mail. Always when I have replied or forwarded an e-mail, the account name that it was received in has automatically been entered in the "from" window. That is, if the mail that I am forwarding was received by account 1 that is the name that would appear in the from box. Now all of a sudden it is entering my default account name, but not with all of my accounts, just one. This has led to problems for me with mailboxes not recognizing the name that the mail is
being sent from. When it started happening I did not notice the mail going out from the wrong account, of course now I change it manually, but it's not the best solution, I'd like to get it back to the way it should be. I've looked through accounts and options, but have not been able to figure what has happened to cause this problem. I'm afraid that it's the dreaded computer gremlins again. This just started yesterday, and has caused me considerable grief if a very short time. If anyone can point me to a
solution I would be very grateful.
In a mail program I used in the past I could "bounce" a message as part of the forwarding function. When "bounced" to another e-mail, it looked as though the message came from the original sender. Is there a function in Windows Mail that does this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI use a admin account on my computer but when I added standard user account it will not open some web pages for example when I go to my yahoo mail it will show the email but when I click on it, it will not show any text, but when I use the administrator account the web page works fine, I can see and read all emails. Another example is when I go to ask.com and search under the standard user it comes up as a blank page but will show search results under the administrator account. When I try to reply, reply all or forward an email either in preview or from an open email nothing happens. Message at the top (Not responding). It seems like the program freezes or there is a very long delay for the reply or forwarded email to appear. If and when it does appear, the email is blank with no text, it is still waiting for the info to load whether there is an attachment or not. When I try to x out, a new window opens giving me the option to restart the program, close or wait for windows mail to respond.

I use AOL - when I check my AOL via webmail i can still see the old emails so know they exist. so why have they disappeard from Windows Mail?
I have several folders set up on my AOL Windows Mail accont so don't want to have to set up a new windows mail account as I will lose allmy folders. And my account settings are set to "view all mail". even wehn I press "send & receive" none of my old inbox emails are being shown up.
my Gmail account has been comprimised yesterday They have changed the secondary email so I cannot just reset the password I have tried to fill out the form to regain control over your account but they declined to give me my account. I have filled it out as best as I can, but I cannot remember the dates that I set up (I have deleted the email that I got when I set up the account). I never use personal information with that email account, and I didn't really mind about it, but I have got accounts registered with other sites (VF, SF, EF etc.) on it. I have changed the emails and passwords on these sites, but I don't know if I have missed any websites. Is there any way that I can contact google (preferably by email) to sort out this?

There is only one, me who is using Vista. Then, I plan to create only one account, for me as administrator. I want to access Vista like I did with XP which opens up without clicking any of account.

I have run every scan possible and can find no problems. I am running home premium on a pc that is 3 weeks old. I set up both user accounts with admin. previlages because it seemed to make the pc run a little faster.

windows vista, I should have 3 accounts in my laptop, the original adminstrator, guest which is off, and another one with adminstrator rights, when I try to use the last one to remove any software, it just let me know that I need administrator right to download or remove. How can I restore the original administrator account?
